Default Moonee Valley Night Racing Betting 22/03/2013

Moonee Valley Night Racing Betting: Black Caviar to treat her fans to something special in the William Reid Stakes.

MOONEE VALLEY RACE 8 @ 9:55pm AEDT: The Hacer Group William Reid Stakes is a 1200m Group 1 race at Weight For Age conditions where the 1.06 favourite with Sportingbet is BLACK CAVIAR.

HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Small field of 7 so can’t imagine them going too hard here. KARUTA QUEEN probably leads her stable mate BLACK CAVIAR. They look a clear first two in running. LUCKYGRAY or SPIRIT OF BOOM settle next from FAWKER. GOOD BA BA and LINTON will bring on the tail. It looks a race where the on-pacers will be advantaged.

RACE ANALYSIS: BLACK CAVIAR’s return to the track in the Lightning Stakes a month ago was simply phenomenal. Not only did she destroy a good field of sprinters but she went on to break a 25 year old track record that so many had attempted prior to her. Out of that race was the Newmarket Handicap quinella with Shamexpress and Moment Of Change running 1-2. She looks like getting a soft run just off her stable mate KARUTA QUEEN and it is simply impossible to see her being denied a 24th straight victory.

Moonee Valley Night Racing Betting: Spirit Song to go back to back in the Sunline Stakes

MOONEE VALLEY RACE 6 @ 8:20pm AEDT: The Sportingbet Sunline Stakes is a 1600m Group 2 event for Fillies and Mares where the 4.6 favourite with Luxbet is LIGHTS OF HEAVEN.

HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks reasonable speed on paper with FILL THE PAGE from barrier 1 and FAMILY CREST from barrier 13 contesting the lead. TAVARNELLE looks set for the gun run from barrier 3 with ROCCIN JO and SPIRIT SONG not far away. The rest settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners should get there chance barring track bias and luck.

RACE ANALYSIS: SPIRIT SONG won this race last year on protest and looks even better placed this year to go back to back. She comes into the race 3rd up, whereas last Autumn she came into the race having her 8th start of the preparation. Her two runs this Autumn have been good without winning. She gave her rivals weight on both occasions and tonight she meets many of them from those two starts much better in on the weights. She gave BONARIA 4.5kgs last start and finished just 0.4 lengths behind her; tonight they meet at level weights. Add to that her terrific record at Moonee Valley, Craig Williams taking the ride and the likelihood of a good run in transit and she looks a terrific bet. TAVARNELLE is the best value in the race, after a good and unexpected win first up in the Group 3 Tressady Stakes.

    Highest Odds at Marathonbet
Moonee Valley Night Racing Betting: The speedsters get there last chance to break the clock in the Essendon Mazda 55 Second Challenge

MOONEE VALLEY RACE 5 @ 7:45pm AEDT: The Essendon Mazda 55 Second Challenge Heat 18 is a 955m open handicap where the 4.6 favourite with Bet365 is VATICAN.

HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Will go at an extreme tempo in this race as they do in all of these 955m races at Moonee Valley. FAB FEVOLA and THE SOILDER are probably the quickest of the on-pacers and will fight out the lead. DAY PROCEDURE, CANALI, and KING COTTON won’t be too far away. The rest will hope they over cook the speed the attempt to swamp them late. Its looks a race where all horses will get their chance barring track pattern and luck.

RACE ANALYSIS: The speed is so extreme here you can’t help but think those off the pace may well come over the top of the on-pacers over the concluding stages. ESPRIT DE BULLET has tremendous ability and last preparation he finally put the score on the board under the training of John Hyam. He won 3 of his 5 starts after a bit of a run of outs in the two preparations prior, it ended with an open handicap victory, defeating Rescue Mission who went on to be Group 3 placed. Tonight he resumes at Moonee Valley which is a track he has performed well at in the past, gets gun jockey Craig Williams doing the steering and looks well and truly suited by the predicted frantic speed on paper.
