No group inspires confidence. It is a crucial match and despite Real Madrid's absence, I will bet on her experience and quality
GALATASARAY vs REAL MADRID @@ REAL MADRID, odds 1.67

Very interesting match, which can provide intense emotions to many. Bayern is quite experienced, cynical and more qualitative than Olympiacos. Olympiacos can balance the quality of the Germans with his passion and the momentum of his stadium. It can be an open match with goals on either side, they have quality offensive and defensive deficiencies and absences. I'll bet both teams score

Manchester City vs Atalanta

The Champions League is back after a short hiatus due to domestic cup action and the international break. Our focus today is on the Group C clash between Premier League reigning champions Manchester City and Italian Serie A side Atalanta that is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm BST tonight at the Etihad Stadium. The two sides have had contrasting fortunes to begin this group phase so let's see what will happen here.

Manchester City top the group with two wins from their two group matches so far. Pep Guardiola is certain to be prioritising this competition to win after retaining the Premier League title last season and not having won the Champions League since 2011. City can seriously damage Atalanta's hopes of reaching the last 16 by picking up another 3 points here but also put themselves on the verge of qualifying for the knockout stage. Defence has been key for City so far with the team only conceding 7 shots on their goal over their first two matches.

Atalanta sit bottom of the group with zero points from their two matches thus far. Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini will desperately want to try and take something away from this game. Otherwise his club is staring group stage elimination in the face and attention will then turn to trying to qualify for the Europa League knockout via a third place group finish here.

The last away game Atalanta had in this competition they were hammered by Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb by a 4-0 result. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a similar outcome in this match. City seem to have this competition worked out so far and Atalanta have looked short on answers and confidence. I'd be willing to back City to win by keeping a clean sheet.

This is a very interesting match. Inter are burning for the win, while Dortmund are also comfortable with the tie. The Germans are quite experienced with Inter, who will struggle to play aggressively for the win. Excellent attacking teams, Inter will attack for the win and Dortmund will find places to hit the counterattacks. I'm waiting for them to find a goal

Perhaps the brightest pair of the night is in Amsterdam, with Ajax welcoming Chelsea at 19.55. Both teams have been on a good moon for the last time, scoring comfortably in almost all of their games. An early finish will open the pace and it is perfectly reasonable to choose Over 2.5

Ajax vs Chelsea

The Champions League chaos continues tonight when Dutch Eredivisie reigning champions Ajax play Premier League side Chelsea in a 5:55pm BST kick-off at the Amsterdam Arena. The home side top Group H with a 100% win record from their two games so far. Can they make it three wins out of three or will the away team blow the group wide open with a win?

Ajax remain a club that have become one of Europe's best under the leadership of manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutch side are top of the Eredivisie without a single loss so far this season. Two wins in this year's Champions League group stage against Valencia and Lille has put them in a fantastic position to qualify for the last 16. A monkey on their shoulder can be dispensed if they win here. It will be the first time they will have won three consecutive Champions League matches since 2005.

Chelsea are beginning to look like a more fluid side under Frank Lampard. His faith in the youth is paying off with the likes of Andreas Christensen, Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic, and Fikayo Tomori. The Blues are 4th in the Premier League and even though they have won 1 and lost 1 of their two group matches up until now there is a good mood around the club. Chelsea are currently unbeaten in their last four matches against Dutch sides. The club is also on a club record run of 8 away matches without a defeat in European competition.

This will be the first time that these two clubs have met which is surprising given how much they have both been in the same European competitions over the past 25 years. Chelsea's win away to Lille showed they can do the business on the road in Europe but this is their biggest challenge yet. I think Chelsea will give Ajax a good go but in ten Hag I think Lampard could face a more experienced and superior thinker. Ajax should scrape a win here but I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea sneaked a draw. It's going to be tight.
