  1. A-League Predictions > Oct 13th - 15th

I think City will fall short again. Title between Sydney, WSW and maybe Victory. Strugglers will Wellington Phoenix, CCM and Brisbane Roar. Melbourne Victory 1x2 Even though City won their first game but it was against an old Brisbane Roar. I'm also not convinced by Warren Joyce credentials yet. Victory attack will be boosted by Troisi and Barbarouses, that should make them play better in the final third. This is a derby so anything could happen but I'm going to tip Victory to get the first bragging rights of the season.
  2. A-League Predictions > Oct 13th - 15th

WSW x Sydney parlay These two teams impressed last weekend and I expect them to continue against the two struggling sides. Should have a play for the Melbourne derby.
  3. MLS Predictions > Oct 12th - 16th

I don't agree that a draw will benefit Sporting KC and Houston. They all want to finish as the top two teams so they can receive a bye. Teams that finished at the third to sixth spot will have to play an extra knockout round to reach the conference semi-finals. At the moment, in the West, the top 5 teams all have a good chance of finishing in the top 2. In the East, the second spot (Toronto is guaranteed) is up for grabs for the second to the fifth placed team. Only NYRB is out of running.
  4. Division 7 - Final Week Selections

    Juventus @ 1.53 Hoffenheim @ 1.75 Real Madrid @ 1.25 40 pts Treble
  5. League Tables & Banter - Week 9

Just to check, do you know which week I didn't show up? Was it the last international week last month?
  6. Why is Slovenia an underdog against Scotland? Hmm...
  7. Division 7 - Week 9 Selections

  8. A-League Predictions > Oct 6th - 8th

WSW -0.5 Tony Popovic leaving for Turkey last week is a major blow to the Wanderers but his assistant Hayden Foxe has been named caretaker. I doubt he will change much to their playing style as of now. I feel that they recruited well. Mark Bridge rejoining them and the Spanish striker Oriol Riera has looked sharp so far. Perth Glory managed to retain the Spanish maestro Diego Castro (my fav A-League player) and also brought in former Wanderers midfielder Andreu. Kenny Lowe is likely to retain his 'I will always try to score more than you' tactic as their defence doesn't seem to have improve much. Even though WSW lost their coach, I still fancy them to get a win in the opening game.
  9. Division 7 - Week 8 Selections

    Chelsea @ 2.75 20 pts single
  10. Monaco -0.5 Despite selling a few key personals, the team is still playing like a well-oiled machine. Thomas Lemar return from injury will be a boost to them. Porto is perfect so far in their domestic campaign but the Champions League is alot tougher. They are probably going to try and keep it tight but Monaco should have too much for them especially with the red hot Falcao spearheading their attack.
  11. Division 7 - Week 7 Selections

    Everton @ 1.67 Real Madrid @ 1.2 Atletico Madrid @ 1.67 30 pts treble
  12. Premier League Predictions > Sep 23rd - 25th

I believe Everton will pick up a win this weekend. Everton has been strong at home under Ronald Koeman but always shit the bed against the better sides. Bournemouth is ok, pretty bad at away games, good chance for them to break their league losing streak.
  13. MLS Predictions > Sep 14th - 17th

Montreal Impact -1 @ 1.74 It's pretty much last chance saloon for Impact as they need every win they can get and hope for one of the teams above them to falter. There is no better chance to start the winning streak than against one of the worst team in the league. Minnesota will be playing their second game in four days and have a very poor road record. I believe the expansion side will compete hard but Impact will probably have abit too much for them.
  14. Premier League Predictions > Sep 15th - 17th

Crystal Palace @ DNB 2.10 Crystal Palace has opted for a more pragmatic manager again in Roy Hodgson. He is the type of manager similar to Tony Pulis and Big Sam and probably more suited for style of play. He is likely to go back to what worked for Palace last season, be it the personal or tactics. Like I mentioned earlier, Southampton has looked poor. Even though it's still early days in Roy Hodgson reign, I believe Palace should be able to get something out of this game even if they don't win.
  15. A-League Predictions > Oct 6th - 8th

It's an international break for the first week but A-league will go on. Expect some international players to be called up.
