Olympiakos vs Viktoria Plzen

The second legs of the 2019/20 Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round throws up a finely balanced tie between Greek Super League side Olympiakos and Czechia club Viktoria Plzen in a 7:30pm kick-off at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus tonight. The first leg ended in a 0-0 draw and the winning side will go through to play Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in the next round.

Olympiakos are an experienced side when it comes to European competition. The Greek side have frequently reached the Champions League group stage and even gotten as far as the last 16 on a number of occasions over the past decade. Head coach Pedro Martins will be keen to see his team get the win here that will take them a step closer to another Champions League group phase.

Viktoria Plzen might have been in existence for over 100 years but they are still relatively inexperienced when it comes to the Champions League. Viktorka didn't win their first domestic title until the 2010/11 season and have only made five appearances in Europe's elite competition. In that time they have played 32 games and won 15 so their overall record in this competition isn't too bad. Pavel Vrba has a challenge on his hands after their failure to take a victory from the first leg into this tie but a single away goal could change everything.

It's no surprise the first leg ended 0-0. There is very little to separate these two teams. I'm not sure there will be much to divide them in this game. The score-line will have both teams treading carefully but I think Olympiakos will benefit from their home advantage. The Greek side have lost just 1 of their last 4 Champions League qualifiers at home. I can see a solid 1-0 or 2-0 win here for the home side.

FC Copenhagen vs TNS

The second preview for this round of Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round 2nd Leg matches is between Danish Superliga champions FC Copenhagen and Welsh Premier League title winners TNS in a 6:45pm kick-off from the Telia Parken in Copenhagen. The hosts hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg and the winners of this tie will progress to face the winners of the tie between Red Star Belgrade and HJK.

FC Copenhagen pulled off a result they'll be happy with but Stale Solbakken might still have wanted more from his team in the first leg given how much of a command they held over the game during the 90 minutes. FCK have only lost 1 of their last 9 Champions League matches on this ground and that includes playing the likes of Porto and Leicester. It's hard to see anything other than a solid win again.

TNS have never made it past two rounds of Champions League qualification. The only time they were able to get past the 2nd Qualifying Round was when they were handed a bye in the 1st Qualifying Round. Scott Ruscoe's team did well to limit FC Copenhagen to two goals in the home leg. It will take one hell of an effort to avoid defeat here. Maybe they can gain inspiration from their compatriots Connah's Quay who went away to Kilmarnock in the Europa League with a first leg deficit at home and won away to prevail. The only difference there being that Kilmarnock only had a one goal advantage... and weren't the champions of their domestic league.

It's tough to see anything other than a dominant win for FC Copenhagen here. TNS aren't really a popular club in Welsh football. Their success has come from investment that has far outweighed any of their rivals, they've re-branded the team several times, and they're now not even based in Llansantfraidd and have moved to England to be in Oswestry. So they don't really have much support as ambassadors for Welsh football. Therefore, most Welsh fans will be supporting FC Copenhagen here and if they don't win by a three or four goal margin it will be disappointing.
