  3. As is often the way in the final week we finish the season with our lowest number of weekly wins, only 13, and biggest overall loss, as the gamblers go big and the risk averse go small odds. But this doesn't detract from what has been a record breaking season! Every Division bar one made a substantial profit overall and the losing Division only made a small loss. And it wasn't just thanks to one or two big individual winners, a fabulous 43 players finished in profit or breakeven and 96 of 108 finishers had at least one winning bet. At the top of the overall league is first season player @HERE who has been magnificent with 8 wins and has staked big but wisely with their bank never being in danger of going bust. Level with 8 wins, and ahead for much of the way, is @corky. These 2 will share the new prize for most number of wins over the season. A long way behind our winner, but with totals over £600 which would have won in some previous seasons, are @ivailobg, @Cuko and @Data with less than £20 between them, followed by @thebestthere also finishing over £500. Our winner for the highest odds win is @Cuko with the 38.628 treble (5.5*2.62*2.75) in week 9. Everyone who completed will be allocated a new Division based on finishing order, for the season to start after the International Break and I'll invite those who busted 'all in' back into Division 6 along with any new or rejoining players. Overall table here and Division winners below. Full details of how to claim your prize shortly...

  5. At first glance I thought Searle's odds are too high... but then again, it's a long format game, and there is nothing wrong with Humphries's form... I don't EVER trust Ratajski... 😀 Price-Anderson should be a cracker... who knows... Dobey-Wade... who knows... I think I sit this one out, and just enjoy the games. Good luck with your picks.

  10. yep agree with Ratajski. I took him last night with Price, Dobey and Humphries. 7/1 Paddypower Ratajski has looked good so far in this tournament so even if Rock turns up I reckon he'd have a game. He has got away with some very average performances.

  12. Aspinall let my treble down last night, but I’m going with another one tonight as the last 16 action gets underway. Josh Rock is being touted as a potential winner of this event, but I’m yet to be convinced as he really hasn’t been tested yet. The players he has beaten have averaged 86, 83 and 85 against him and I think Ratajski will give him a much tougher game than he’s had so far in this tournament. I’m finding it hard to pick a winner in the Dobey v Wade match. We haven’t seen the best of Dobey in this tournament yet, I’m expecting him to improve over this longer format, and taking him to score at least 5 180s. Luke Humphries has registered three ton-plus averages so far, and I don’t see his level dropping too far in this match. He’s a prolific 180 hitter, so I’m adding Humphries to win and hit the most 180s to my treble. As for Price v Anderson - I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the fireworks 😁 Ratajski +2.5 legs, Dobey 4.5+ 180s & Humphries win and most 180s pays 4.23 at Bet365.

  15. Hi harry_rag The crazy chase part is you are laying the said horse at its odds to win 10pts So the chase is as follows from Tuesday 14.05 lay Dysart Enos odds 1.18 - horse won race so loss for me = 1.8pts- Carry loss of 1.8pt- Next lay is for 11.8pts 14.15 Silvretta odds 1.28 - horse won so loss for me = 3.3pts- Carry loss is 1.8pts + 3.3pts = 5.1pts- Next lay is for 15.1pts 14.40 Regarde odds 1.74 - horse won so loss for me = 11.17pts - Carry loss is 5.1pt- + 11.17pts- = 16.27 pts- Next lay is for 26.27pts 15.48 Love Tree odds 2.60 - horse lost the race so the chase won 10pts + end of chase I just had the chase Sequence as loss loss loss win as thought most people would be able to work out the amount of money needed to place on the lay to win 10pts in the chase. 15.48 Love tree lost to Dameofthecotswolds who made up so much ground in a stunning finish to win , one horse that will win more as was only its 2nd race.

  17. Colina - M. Lourdes Carle to beat D. Parry - 2.57 with Pinnacle Parry was on a 7 match losing streak before dropping down to 25k level to build some confidence, reached the SF but lost to #280, then played a 60k and lost in the final to #224 so she's not at her highest level yet. Lourdes Carle has won 8 of her last 10 matches, all on clay, winning a 40k title in the process. Parry might have the edge but she's a bit short for me on current form.

  26. Bayern Munich-Partizan Date: 15.11.2023. Sport: Euroleague Start time: 20:30 cet Pick: Partizan -1 @1.943 Bookmaker: Pinnacle Stake: 1 unit Teamnews: adv Bayern 1, total -1, if Bonga and Obest will play(Lucic out, Bonga quest, Obst quest / Punter out, Koprivica out) Model: Partizan 3.4 162 Robo number: Partizan 4 162 Final number: Partizan 3 161- Bonga in, Obst in Picks: Partizan -1 @1.943 (min price Partizan -1.5 @1.90) Comment: Bayern without Lucic (starter, not play this season). Bonga (starter, key defensive player, 1st game out) and Obst (starter/bench player, 1st game out) are questionable. Panter (starter, 2 games out) and Koprivica (support player) are unavailable for Partizan. Partizan will have strong support from the fans, home-field advantage will be negligible.

  29. McAtee scores twice but not first, Collins doesn't score. Standings so far. I'm recording the following: Number of selections Return to £1 level stakes on first goalscorer Return to £1 level stakes on anytime goalscorer (assuming 1/3 the odds for first goal) Return to 50p each way level stakes on first goalscorer (at 1/3 the odds for the "place") Return to £1 level stakes on last goalscorer Respective ROI for the above and the numbers of winning selections How many players score the different number of goals from 0 to 4 or more Last goalscorer tracked just out of curiosity, I don't think it's a great bet at the same odds as 1st because of the probability that more last goals will be scored by subs. Number of goals scored also out of curiosity, I'm not capturing prices for brace and hat trick but it's worth seeing how often they occur. (I can compare that to my larger existing data samples and work out what sort of price you'd need for it to be worthwhile relative to the anytime price.)

yeah i agree the let down after a big win is also common From what i read Ding left China yesterday afternoon so arrived this morning in the UK (probably Manchester and then go to Bolton), this is probably why they switched the starting time of the two matches to give him two extra hours, considering this he might not be in top form; so all in all i took Anda

  35. I don’t understand it either, it needs explaining better. I can follow the profit loss from the lays but not the “crazy chase” element. How did you end up +50 points yesterday from 5 winners at 10 points each with no apparent loss incurred for the losing selections? Please clarify with reference to stakes and odds.

  39. Can't find any when it comes to the ones I can access @888888. Leolia Jeanjean to beat Despina Papamichail 2-0 at 2.00 with William Hill I think this is playable at evens. I watched Papamichail against Sierra, and both players were all over the place, but Sierra was incredibly erratic and handed Papamichail the win on a silver platter, more or less. Jeanjean should be able to keep the ball in play long enough to make Papamichail make the unforced error, and her easy win over Anshba suggests that she has no issues with the Colina conditions.

  45. Won at Ffos Las 15th october at 3/1 jt fav travelling strongly. Thereafter i posted a write up saying that it sticks out at 9/1 fav for Greatwood hurdle it has now been backed down to 6/1 which i still think is good value because i can see it being as short as 3/1 fav. I wouldn't back it antepost for Cheltenham festivalas trainer shied away last year saying it wasn't a Cheltenham horse (only downside, must have changed her mind) and more importantly needs soft conditions.
