Play about to start so will have to be brief. After Nadal and Djokovic got good wins yesterday, Alcaraz has drifted and so I'm now going to back him. Tsitsipas has also drifted so I'm going to put a bit more on him. There's only one match I like which is Garcia to beat Townsend. She hasn't played since Miami but tends to come alive here, so I think she's worth taking a risk on. Finally I'm taking one short odds treble of Sonego, Rublev and Carreno-Busta. It's annoying, but the whole thing is not a sprint. It is one endless bet, where if you apply an edge, over time you will be in profit. Very much like poker. In the short term anything can happen. His game seems to be inadequate, especially on clay. Ruusuvuori possesses more firepower and builds the point better than Ugo on slow surfaces... ------------------------------------------------------------------ I cannot understand why Mertens isn't a clear favorite against Bouzkova to be honest. OK, so due to the European leagues entering their off-season I will be posting previews for the games taking place in the MLS over the next couple of months. If the interest garnered continues then we will make it a permanent thing. If not, then it was a failed experiment! what are everyone's thoughts on the ITV racing scheduling we seem to go from one extreme to another big meetings where only that meeting is shown with 30 minutes of `chat' or in the case of Saturday 28th according to racing post website they are showing 1530 Haydock (7f), 1545 Chester (7f) then the 1550 Beverley (1m 4f) which can only end on way (badly) i much prefer the race every 15 mins or so seems about right

They also seem to be plugging the tote odds at the moment even though with the take out this is rarely a good bet.

Doesn't matter what station's showing the racing I try & turnover as quickly as possible after the racing had finished . I've noticed with ITV's Sunday Series they seem to be plugging Timeform quite a bit & trying to teach novices how to bet etc... with Timeform basically just back the favourite it's mostly what they pick . With big gaps between races it's a hard job to fill in the gaps , I quite like home schooling , one thing I don't like especially at Ascot is so & so is wearing this or that whilst that person probably wouldn't know the front or back end of a horse ?
