Just a crazy loss. Couldn't see Paire winning either. I don't know which tournament I watched, where he could not hit a forehand. He was scooping the ball over the net? This match, the Muguruza loss and Gauff  are probably the 3 most unexpected results so far.

The trouble with Paire is it's impossible to know when he plays badly if it's a form issue or a motivation issue.

Paire is really a very good server. He may not have huge 1st serve percentage, but when it goes in, he wins a crazy high percentage.  It's a balancing act between finding the sweet spot between first serve in | points won on first serve | points won on 2nd serve and trying to maximize them all concurrently.

One WTA match and one ATP match for me today, plus adding to a position in the outrights. Starting with the outright market, I'm backing Medvedev some more after he cleared a tricky hurdle in the shape of the enigmatic Kyrgios. The manner of the win, despite dropping a set, was efficient and perhaps more importantly than that Medvedev showed good concentration and didn't get distracted too much by a raucous and partisan crowd. In the past he's struggled to hold his emotions together and if he can keep that part of his game in check it should really help him in pursuit of the title.

The WTA match I'm interested in is Pegula against Parrizas-Diaz, where Pegula is way too short for me. The American has good memories of this tournament from last year and they've probably helped her to snap her losing start to the season and pick up a couple of wins, but she hasn't been convincing so far. She was on the ropes against Kalinina and had to win a second set tie-break to stay in that match and then she fell behind at the start against Pera before recovering. So far she's been giving opponents chances so there's no reason to think she won't do the same against Parrizas-Diaz. The Spaniard is rested after a walkover in the last round and with a recent win over Cornet she's more than capable of getting an upset win.

On the ATP side, I'm taking Berrettini to beat Alcaraz. There's no doubting Alcaraz is a huge talent, but plus money on Berrettini who is more established on hard and at this level can't be ignored. It's true the Italian has had some issues at this tournament so far, but his big serve and forehand combination can keep him in any match.

20pts Medvedev to win ATP Australian Open @ 2.63 Betfair Exchange

25pts Parrizas-Diaz to beat Pegula @ 5.00 365

25pts Berrettini to beat Alcaraz @ 2.63 Betfair Sportsbook

I know its very late posting this, normally I will post a long time before..

Will do a lot of livebetting on tonights games, but couldnt help me self, by making this womens dubbel.

Azaranka + Keys @1,65  9/10

I will go 9/10 (almost Max-bet)

Aza looks ok to me, Svitolina, havnt been plaýing good at all for a while & still a long way from her best tennis and right now Aza should win a match like this, pretty easy imo & H2H (4-0) + form, also dont make me change my mind.

Keys, Just really like Keys last weeks and looks like she's still have it, not at all that nervous and stupid mistakes, she looks a lot more in peace with her self, should win her 3 match this week.

Alcaraz vs Berretini This seems to me to be the right time for Alcaraz to come of age and he has given us a hint of what he can do with how cosily he won that next gen finals last year. Berretini is mostly one dimensional with his serve and big forehand behind it. I do not think he is at the required level to take out Alcaraz. Alcaraz for the win.

Krejcikova vs Ostapenko I really think that Ostapenko has some sort of chance here considering that she leads this opponent 1-3. I think Ostapenko can remain defiant for most of the journey making the verdict of over 18.5 games safe @Paddy power alt handicaps.

Sonego vs Kecmanovic I expect a decent battle from these two today with both already off to a flyer. Sonego leads the h2h 3-1 and I think he can make it 4 today. However as usual I will go safe and take the alternative totals of over 37.5 game. Alternative bet Sonego to win and both to win a set at least 6/4 @ Paddt Power. Good luck!

I think Pegula and Krejcikova are gonna win. Kostyuk may pull off an upset win over Badosa who is of course a very strong player. The odds on Kostyuk are too juicy to ignore though.

I also like Riley Opelka to beat Shapovalov and Carreno Busta to beat Sebastian Korda.

Botic Van De Zandschulp (+8.5 games) to beat Daniil Medvedev at 1.82 with Unibet

I obviously don't think that Medvedev is going to fall here, but Botic is a decent opponent and the handicap line is massive given how good he can serve at times. His name is apt here, he can definitely do some botting. It won't last against Medvedev throughout, but even one tie-break would be likely to see this through and even something like 6-3 6-3 6-4 would do, which I think is more than realistic.

Top tip CzechPunter, thanks!

Elina Svitolina is a brilliant tennis player, so it’s sad to see her seem to be struggling with her game as much as she is at the moment.

I still have hopes that she’ll be a Grand Slam champion one day, but that looked a long way off today, unfortunately.

"I still have hopes that she’ll be a Grand Slam champion one day, but that looked a long way off today, unfortunately". Not in a million years from the way the WTA has evolved in the last couple of years. Svitolina has no major weapons to be of any threat to those that matter and she has recently married indicating her intent to start the next phase of her life which certainly cannot include winning a slam now. I see her retiring very early for some reason.

Garin also coming off 2 five setters in a row. Monfils has excllent returning ability, and that leads to serve breaks . He's crushed the -8.5 game spread in his first 2 matches, by 13 games both times.

Sweating on Monfils to break serve. The 7-6 gives him a win by 7. He drifted 1st set, being 3-1 up. Have him twice, one at 6.5 and one at 7.5

Definitely think Alcaraz is worth an in play bet at this point. Looked totally unsettled first set, but getting better. Good double with Opelka, as SHapavalov looking a little fragile. Woulnt bet the house but a 1/2 unit won't hurt

hahaha, what a suprise huh? with you rude answer when I just told my opinion on your strategy, what will you say now? you´re gonna have a lot of stress days with your betting ;) writing 100 posts with your ´´analysis´´ of odds 1.15 doesn´t help anyone. And I think it´s also not point of this forum, when you´ll write some VALUE bets and reasons for it, then you will have my respect. If betting was clicking on the favorites, everyone would be rich.. think about that

wow didn t think people here were this douchey...I literaly started betting on 4th january this year solely on tennis cause it's my bread and butter with 200 euros, I made 1600 euros solely betting on every result that seemed likely to happen no matter the odd. Hello to all of us the stupid punters, and hello to His Excellency Advanced Form of Intelligence Lovetennis.

How are you punters? What do you think of Alcaraz? I don't know how to rate this guy. He looks overshaped for his age. Is him the new Nadal?

I will come later for some tips, having now watched several matches.

Just bizarre,

I dunno what the problem is with a few people on this forum. Give me a go all the time. But go and look at how well the seeds did 1st round. You make money avoiding the few ones that are out of form and basically betting the rest between 1.12 and 1.44  to win. If you actually use a little variable staking you win big. Taking 14 doubles on the seeds that look good in the first round is a winning strategy.

I have done very very well pre Aussie open in the pre tournaments (up 40% on about 50 bets), which is far more risk free than trying to find 8+-10 winners. But I am not condoning anyone for taking long odds bets. It's there money. Wouldn't say the Open has been brilliant but I am up about 18%, with low odds and variable staking.

Yet I get these ridic complaints about screwing the board up with a 30 legged bet. The reality is that 28 of those 30 won. Who expects to win 30 legged bets? Nobody!  But I found 14 wins of 15 as two legged bets. Did I make money. Hell yes!  Is this a strategy that will work in the 1st round of the majors. YES! Yet I'm abused and insulted by someone who adds almost zero value to this board.

If you check through my posts, there are at least 4, 4+ legged bets that won. In one recent post, I had Azarenka, Badosa, Krecikova and Keys. All won, thank you, 2-1 nice odds.

van Uytvank lost on a great tip, really due to her inability to deal with the heat.  Sinner over Johnston, win in straights sets. Easy money.

Yet all I get is the dull trolling that never quite stops. Can't they use their energy constructively?

The difficulty is avoiding the ‘bad’ seeds though. We don’t know in advance which ones are going to slip up. Yes, in this tournament you may have got 25 out of 27 predictions correct on your huge accumulator, but you’d need a far bigger sample size, and proof of how you turn that into a profitable staking strategy over many Grand Slams, because two incorrect picks isn’t a fixed number you can magically guarantee every time - some Grand Slams will have far more upsets than others.

Also, given that you like to boast about how many bets you have won, and how easy tennis betting is to you, perhaps you’d be better with a running total for the tournament/week/year, as some people do on this site? You have a lot of anecdotal claims of how much you are winning on your tennis bets, but that doesn’t count as evidence in my book. I think you need to be clear in advance about what bets you’re taking, and clear in recording the results afterwards.

If you look at CzechPunter and Torque’s posts, there’s no bravado, no retrospective claims of great wins, just a simple statement in advance of how much they are staking on each bet, and an explanation for each bet.

It was very easy to avoid the bad seeds. Go and look at the post, they are there in bold. They were lousy pre tournament and carried the bad form through.

I can't be bothered. But I did call Osaka losing today, but I guess that was just more 'retro' posting.

Kaia Kanepi 2-0 v Maddison Inglis 1.80 (Bet365)

For me its about levels. Inglis is playing her first match on RLA (Centre Court) and I'm not sure if she can raise her levels to stay in this one, no matter the home support. She hasn't much WTA tour experience too.

She had a good win v out of sorts (possibly hampered by a back injury) Fernandez and scraped past the young qualifier Baptiste. During the match she didn't have an easy service hold and I think that will spell trouble v a player like Kanepi. Inglis also lost 2-6 1-6 v Zidansek and 1-6 3-6 v Rogers in Adelaide, I think it will be a blueprint of how this match will go.

Tauson to beat Collins @1.90 offered by bet365.

Nice odd for the extraordinary Danish. She is capable to beat any one here at this very moment.

Arina Sabalenka to beat Vondrusova @2.20 offered by bet365

I expect from the powerful Arina to make a good match after all the troubles she faced in the first two rounds.

Now, which one of the two is my top favorite?

Clara Tauson of course! She is my dark horse here, but i wont place any bet on her because of the strange nature of the WTA tour.

But tonight is different story! I bet on one match only, and i trust her to deliver!

thanks punters!

My first bet in here for a long long time.

Only regretting that I didnt post it before now, because of the odds already dropping all over.. @2,09 starting odds at Pinnacle.

Evans is playing very good and im sure he will give FAA a lot of problems and also FAA already have been on court for a very long time two first marches, Evans used a lot less time. Im deff taking theese odds and think this is good value. Evans looks strong and his kind of play will and can course for at lot of problems for FAA and to be honest dont understand why FAA was the openening Fav..

H2H Evans 1-0, playing in Melbourne back in february 2021 , Evans winning 6-2 6-3..

GL to the ones who will follow this Bet....

D.Evans was postet already yesterday (Now @2,05 Pinnacle)

My dubbel play from yesterday was fine Azarenka + Keys @1,65 x 9/10

Taking a new ladies dubbel tonight

Kanepi  - Englis (Kanepi to win)

Mertens - Zhang (Mertens to win)

@1,76 x 8/10

Kanepi : Think this is the end for Englis. H2H 0-0, after this one I think it will be 1-0 Kenepi.

Mertens : H2H 3-1 Mertens, winning last match in April 2021 2-0. Also here I think the fav will win and 4-1 H2h after this match.

TAUSON.

Im from Denmark, so I simply cant say no and have to try this one out @1,93 Unibet.

She looks strong and our new hope after Wozniacki on the ladies tour. This is her chance and I think she will do the job and odds pretty ok...

Good luck to the ones following theese bets

Have a nice one.

Parrizas-Diaz did get chances - she was a break ahead twice in the first set but both times was broken straight back. After losing a tight first set she faded in the second and was beaten easily in the end. It looked like Berrettini was going to win in straightforward fashion when he went two sets ahead in his match, but he was taken all the way to a deciding set breaker. It was fortunate that he won that breaker, but you could also say it was unfortunate that he didn't win more easily having made such a strong start.

The bad boy of tennis Paire will definitely taking Tsitsipas the distance. Unlike most players Paire here won't be intimidated by Tsitsipas status in the tennis universe, infact thrives better as the underdog. Tsitsipas should be occupying Medvedev spot or the world thought so when he dispatched Federer here back in 2019.But the guy's only obstacle to his talent and stature is mental. Cue the bathroom breaks and ability to finish off long tenous matches. Probably top 3 on his day, Paire is his worst opponent. Paire's only enemy is himself(Motivation).

I haven't bet big this year but I smell an upset .Because if Paire doesn't let up there's no telling if Tsitsipas holds up. At these odds Paire looks too enticing.

Benoit Paire to beat Tsitsipas? Not even a remote chance. I'd rather chase an outrageous handicap for Tsitsipas to cover (-8.5/9.5/10.5 games) than rely on an irresponsible and completely unreliable tennis player like Paire.

Maria Sakkari (-3.5) to beat Jessica Pegula at 1.87 with Unibet

I like Sakkari way more than Pegula at the moment, the latter just doesn't seem to have the nerves for a GS success just yet. She struggled in the previous round and she could've lost, as @Torque mentioned. It was a tricky match, while Sakkari just steam-rolled a tough opponent in Kudermetova. The conditions clearly suit her, she's hitting big and I fancy her to win this.

Vondrousova vs Sabalenka At this stage of the tournament which I believe that most of us are now well into, I am not going to bore you with providing reasons why I think any one of these women will win, rather by way of reasonable probality I will want to focus on should be deemed a good bet by the betting option that I have chosen. These two women head to head stand at 2-2. Vondrousova won the first two but it is sabalenka who has won the last two (2018 & 2021 respectively). The last victory in 2021 was a runaway victory 6-1 6-2. The question that allof us must be asking ourselves now that Sabalenka's opposition is now a considerable upgrade from the last two is this; do we now expect Sabalenka to play better or worse considering her problems with the serve in the opening two rounds. I have always been sure of the answer to that question as I have already remarked on this forum. Emphatically yes. The question now is which way do I bet amidst the host of betting options. Firstly, I cannot bring my head round the fact that Vondrousova has been made favorite considering their current rankings of 41 and 2 respectively. In my seach for the ideal bet and expecting a close match I saw on bet 365 Sabalenka total games over 12.5@6/5 and under @4/7. The problem is that there is a chance that this could be a runaway victory for Sabalenka where the under could come in despite the win. That really would be cruel. However I found what I am most certain is the ideal bet for this match on Paddy power. Sabalenka over 11.5 total games at 4/7. This covers a Sabalenka victory of any sort. On the flip side I cannot see how Vondrousova will win this if possible without Sabalenka going over 11.5games. Even making provisions for a bad service day at the office Sabalenka over 11.5games still seems the perfect bet,

Just one speculative match bet for me today and that's Daniel to beat Sinner. The win over Murray was very impressive and it was a win built on the foundation of an excellent serving display. Sinner isn't the greatest on return and if Daniel is able to serve at a high level again this could be a lot closer than expected. I'm also going back in on Barty in the outrights. She passed her first real test against Giorgi with flying colours and with Osaka going out she's faced with arguably an easier opponent in Anisimova in the next round.

5pts Daniel to beat Sinner @ 11.00 Boylesports

20pts Barty to win WTA Australian Open @ 2.82 Betfair Exchange

Sitting here waiting for the Tauson match at 01.00 and also hoping for my womens dubbel and Evans to do good tonight.

Looking at the matches the next couple of days, a lot of good matches and especially lots of good players left in both the mens and womens tournaments.

I like theese 7 winners and i will make some kind of combo bets among theese "lucky 7".. like dubbels, trippels & quads.  I see them all winning & will make the "Lucky7" combo bet Bet365 @7,78 + 30% = @10,114 .. but will be seriously trying to combine combos like dubbels, trippels, quads as the "importanrt" bets..

Aza , I know that can be a tough one, but really liked the Aza I have seen last matches, maybe thats the most dangerous one ?
