Wow ....I'm flattered and humbled.....I bet most weeks for fun so sharing ratings and discussing races is easy and most enjoyable ,....being on the forum gives me the opportunity to test myself and sets me the challenge of growing and improving and I've definitely grown and the ratings have got stronger since I first joined in 2017 ????.... lol .....there are many worthy punters on here and I really enjoy reading everyone's opinions and there are some very skillful people on here which makes getting this award all🎁🎁🎁 the more flattering so thankyou 😁😁 I'll try and post a pic in my forum jumper at the next family get together or outing over Xmas haha 😂

December gold cup Ga law. 667 total 1307 13/2 Stage star. 649 total 1289 7/1 Fugitif. 642 total 1279 Hard to separate these three as each has it's merits but ga law has run well in these types of races so should run well and stage star represents nicholls who's doing well in these big races so dangerous .......wouldn't put anyone off fugitif though ....very competitive race 5 PT Ew ga and stage

Another market I'm interested in is quarter winner and I think Zonneveld is huge at 80/1 to win quarter 4. In all likelihood Anderson or possibly MVG wins the quarter, but I think Niels has a shot at winning the bottom section, with literally everyone he is due to meet along the way having some questionmarks around them. That being said, VdB, a fit Chizzy or Schindler would be expected to beat him should they turn up, but at those odds I'm willing to take a chance on it, with Paddy Power usually offering the cash out option on quarter winners in between rounds.

Some more thoughts on most 180s. I should also include Anderson at 15/2 and Smith at 16/1 as other possibilities, especially the former who is favourite to make the semis at least. Both Smith and Anderson have scored the most 180s in this tournament on five occasions between them over the last decade, with Smith having scored the highest ever with 83 in 2022 when he finished runner up to Wright. I'll try a small wager on both as a saver especially with those odds (all with Paddy Power). Ladbrokes have Chris Dobey at 33/1 for most 180s and if he goes deep he's certainly in the running as he can be a 180 machine on his day but mentally I'm not sure he will hold it together enough to make the latter stages. As a side note, Laddies have a great range of specials for the tournament, several of which I like the look of, some at long odds, if I get time I'll report back later with my suggestions.

Southend v Hartlepool I was a bit surprised that Hartlepool made 8 changes for the game against Tamworth on Tuesday as I thought the FA Trophy looked a good chance for them to win something. I can only think that because the people in charge aren't really non-league people that they might not care as much about it as I thought they would. Anyway they should be back to full strength here and given they come into this in good form I think they can beat a Southend side I still think are overrated. Darlington v Oxford City Just 2 defeats in the last 10 for Darlington and still only one defeat at home all season which came on the opening day against Kidderminster. Those 2 defeats were at Chorley and Brackley so there is no disgrace in that and they edged a win against Herefordon Tuesday night in a game where there wasn't a huge amount of quality chances. I think it is fair to say that Oxford aren't as bad as they were at the start of the season, but they did lost 3 on the bonce before beating a poor Farsley. They did win in the Trophy last Saturday but were playing a Step 4 side. I'd make the home side slight odds on for this. Blyth Spartans v Prescot Cables Blyth have improved since the change of owner and manager and this does look a winnable game for them. The away sides good run is a while ago now and it is just 1 win in 7 for them. There probably isn't a great deal between these 2 sides and given the price about the home I will take a chance on Blyth finally getting another win they are hinting at being close to. Bognor v Whitehawk It will be typical if Whitehawk lose this for us after being against them a couple of weeks ago, but they clearly got a new manager bounce albeit Folkestone were poor. What is key for me is Bognor are currently bottom and Whitehawk have started to get some former players back who did well for the manager before at the club. In Bognor's last 5 games they have let in 20 goals so I'm happy to take a chance that Whitehawk can continue the improvement against the worst side in the division. Dartford v Dulwich Dartford were the side who beat Bognor last Saturday 4-0 and the only time they have lost in their last 10 was when we opposed them with Wingate. Not much I can say except sorry 🤦🏻‍♂️ The day started off perfectly with Haiti Couleurs winning at 11/2 for a 6.5pt return. No Risk With Lou was given a terrible ride in my eyes, was still full of running when he finished and jockey just gave him too much to do and thought he could peg back the two that got away. Theonewedreamof was an ok run, not much to say. Madara was a tough one to take, looked the winner turning in and was very short in running but just couldn't get past. The two horses collided two out and Madara came off much the worse, probably cost it the win. West Balboa looked an exceptional antepost bet, backed into 1/2 last night but it just drifted and drifted today and ran so poorly, very disappointing! Liberated Light & Little Roger both average. An overall loss of 10.5pts sorry 😢 Running P/L = +54.2pts

Wodhooh Trained by G Elliott looks a very exciting horse with the festival in mind couldn't have been more impressive after a long lay off, absolutely cruised through what was admittedly a slowly run race but it must come on for that run and this ex M Stoute horse is certainly one to be on the right side of come the festival.

On paper at least it could well be a bad weekend for the bookmakers. There are quite a few teams you would really fancy like Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield United, Wrexham etc. I've gone for: Preston North End v Leeds United One defeat in six for Leeds, whereas Preston are one win in ten. Wrexham v Cambridge United Pretty self explanatory, really. Wrexham are W9 D1 L0 at home, Cambridge are W1 D1 L7 away from home, its 2nd v 22nd, Wrexham have won 4 out of their last 5 and Cambridge have won one in that time. Queen of the South v Stenhousemuir Long shot. It might be 7th v 1st but looking at it, I fancy the fantastically named Doonhammers. The home sides problems that means they're lying in 7th is simple, their away form. They're W0 D2 L6 away but their home form is only bettered by Stenhousemuir (1st) and Arbroath (3rd). At home, Queen of the South are W5 D1 L1. Looking at Stenny, they're top but they're the complete opposite to Queens, they're great at home (W6 D1 L1), whereas away only Annan (8th), Dumbarton (10th) and the aforementioned Queens are worse than them. Stenny's away record of W2 D2 L4 is enough for me to have a little punt on the home side.

What's that? Is there a quiet sound of the cracks showing in the foundations of @patriciamarc's dominant lead at the top of the Punters Lounge Fantasy Football League? Lucas FC stuttered with just 50 points this week meaning that some big guns gained a fair bit of ground on the leader. @dwikyeddo also suffered with a 49-point total seeing them drop to 4th place. @Team Sagga's Team Sagga have leapt up to 2nd position after earning 73 points and @bobsyerunkle's Big A Little A are up to 3rd after getting 81 points. Lucas FC still boast a lead of 58 points but it's reducing and the young pretenders to the crown are growing in numbers! Manager of the Week goes to everyone's favourite second team in the form of @MinellaWorksop's Team FerretWeasel. A 93-point return this week saw them move up to 68th place overall. Captain Cole Palmer brought home 36 points with Jamie Vardy and Bryan Mbeumo returning double figures to contribute towards that total. It was a familiar tale at the foot of the table with our perennial struggler Andy Elliot's Andellio only managing to get to 16 points this week. It's history-making stuff and not in a good way! It's now got to the stage that anyone who gets fewer points in a round than Andellio should seriously question their life choices... particularly in fantasy football land!
