Here is a question for you racing punters out there and the analysists. Why would a French trainer bring a horse over to England (not cheap) to run in a handicap 3 stone out of that handicap? 150 Cheltenham Izino D'airy 100/1 needs thinking about. I for one have chucked a few quid on at that price I have backed worse options this year. Is it not supposed to finish the proverbial street behind. will be interesting to see whatever happens.

Well if it's a day of 100/1 shots how about Lively Citizen in the 1.15 cheltenham! Former winner of the race ground to suit, goes well at the track way way overpriced at a 100/1 imho.

Decent selections. Majestic Force would have won if not for a bad mistake at the last (very annoying). Latenightpass ran well. Lancelot won at 8s 💥. Doyen a frustrating one. 10pts staked 18pts returned +8pts overall today. Will update P/L later as I'm a few days behind.

Top Half Section 1 Humphries is the big favourite in this section, and I don't see him having any issues until the Quarter-Finals. He beats RVB, Wade, and/or Wattimena for me and would face one of Bunting, DVD, Heta, or De Decker. I have a feeling that De Decker will have a good Worlds. Normally, Bunting also performs well here, and perhaps the winner of Bunting and De Decker will be the first real test for Humphries. Q1 Head predicted winner - Humphries Q1 Heart predicted winner - De Decker Bet(s) - Humphries 3/1 De Decker 40/1 (I have offered 50/1 on Betfair and hoping somebody matches it) DVD 125/1 (I must have been drunk) Section 2 Littler has a bit more of a test with Edhouse, who on his day can beat Littler. Noppert has had a good year but I can't see him testing Littler, personally. Scott Williams and Cross should have a good match but Springer could give Williams a scare in the first round. Van Veen is the one for me at the bottom of this section. I think Pie gives him a good match but I think he meets Littler. Q2 Head predicted winner - Littler Q2 Heart predicted winner - Van Veen Bet(s) Van Veen 80/1 Littler 18/1 (from a double for him to win PL and Worlds) Bottom half Section 3 The bottom half is where it's interesting. We have so many players that are out of form and come into this with a huge question mark on their heads. Michael Smith is one of those but I think he beats Doets and Ratajski. Dobey beats Rock for me and then Dobey also beats Smith. Nijman looks like the value pick in the other part of this section as I cannot see Price, Clayton or Gurney turning up to the levels they'd need. Schindler would be my other pick in this section. For me, MVG is a big player at 11/1. It's just too big for somebody who loves the set play and can just turn up to an event like this and turn it on. +68.7pts was the running P/L going into Wednesday. I had 4 selections all of which lost for an 8pt loss to leave the running P/L at +60.7pts. Today we got those 8pts back so nice and easy, running P/L is back to +68.7pts. I have however lost 4pts with the Antepost bets on Kateira which puts it back to +64.7pts. Hopefully West Balboa can get the job done tomorrow as a 4pt Antepost at 9/4 would return 13pts and be lovely value considering it's around 1/2 now in the market.
