Pretty poor fare today with no flat racing in the UK For my daily selection I've looked at the handicap chase at Perth at 2.45 and reckon the favourite, Tessy Lad, might be worth taking on. He's a flat bred horse and they don't usually make good chasers. Finished 2nd on chase debut but that was a very poor race, even worse than today's ....... and if he was ever going to win over fences, that might have been his best opportunity. If he couldn't win that maybe he can't win this today ? I've gone for Tonto Foley at 10/3 bet365. He's got a decent chase record, placed in all 5 runs and won 2. Disappointed last time out but that was on a tight left handed track and he's back going right-handed today ........ his last 2 wins have been this way round Yard has a 25% strike rate in the last couple of weeks 2/8 edited - had the race time wrong ........ eek4 points

Very sorry for your loss @Zilzalian You are right, we can become weighed down by all the issues we face, especially money, but money doesn't always help with poor health or bring back our loved ones.3 points

Van Den Bergh to beat Schindler at 2,20. Schindler as such a formidable favorite against VDB seems weird to me. The Belgian loves the stage, even won here before, and (at least against Netherlands, and I think it counts more than the disaster against Austria) showed some form at the World Cup.3 points -
we have scraped through with draws and one goal victories against teams that we should be better than I guess Netherlands are the same level as us and that could have gone either way Spain are obviously a better team than us and the usual pattern is that when we meet one of the top handful of teams we get beat. If we'd met one in the quarter finals we'd have probably gone out then and it would have seemed like 'business as usual' Southgate is a conservative defensive minded coach ...... maybe a new coach will rejig the team to put the emphasis on attacking which is where our talented players are. The squad still looks pretty decent2 points

I’m always entirely comfortable betting against England if that’s where I perceive the value to be. Tonight I think it might be the other way and I’ve stuck England to win the trophy or in 90 minutes in a couple of Bet Builders. Last Euros I was on Italy outright so that was where my loyalties lay (I’m a punter before any other consideration) but tonight I’m in the unusual position of being able to support England in a major final. That said, if we were one up in added time I’d still want Spain to equalise to land my antepost bet on games going to extra time and same again to take it to pens for the same reason. So I suppose I’m rooting for England on pens!2 points -

Think I'll have a bet on Spain tonight on the basis that if the bet loses England will have won ! (plus of course ..... they are the best team and you can get odds against) knowing my luck it'll be a draw at 90 minutes and Spain will win in Extra Time .......... 😢2 points

Bellingham GB bet look a wee bit skinny Harry you can get at least 33/1 for him to score 2 tonight. Although that would only be in 90mins you would have extra time if it came into play.1 point -

Ok, here's the BB portfolio! England win tie/Foden score or assist/Ruiz SoT 9.25 (boost and earns freebie) England win match/btts/Foden 2+ shots from outside the box 31/1 (earns freebie) Rodri carded/Foden and Ruiz 1+ SoT each 16/1 (uses freebie) Foden to score from outside the box/both teams 20+ booking points (uses freebie) Couple of freebies left, will use one on the Copa final and one in the week. That should be it unless something really strong catches my eye. Might take a look at the Marc Cucurella to commit 1+ fouls on Bukayo Saka 11/10 bet.1 point

Left it late to have a bet but I'll take a chance on a five setter at the boosted odds of 5/2 with Hills. Good luck all!1 point -
Bets on the final so far (before I get stuck into the BB marathon) starting with open antepost bets. 13/2 for the match to go to extra time (would land 6+). Not bad when the draw is less than 2/1. 10/1 for the match to go to penalties (would land 4-5). Again, better than the price on the game. 25/1 Rodri to Spain goalscorer (not likely) England most cards at 25/1 (unlikely unless they go into meltdown)! Currently on 10 yellows. Spain most cards at 18/1; I think Spain just need 2 yellows to tie and anything more to win but it's 5 to tie if you look at UEFA's figures. They include cards shown to non-participants which shouldn't count for betting purposes. 13 yellows and a red (or 15 and 1 on UEFA stats) Ruiz Golden Boot at 55 (needs either a goal and an assist or 2 goals to overtake Olmo) Bellingham GB at 23 (needs to score twice at least) And on the match itself so far: Kane headed SoT at 15/2 45+ booking points at 2.091 point

There were four winners on the day, but not in the same L15. I had two in a double, though. Total returns = 8.60 so 2.60 profit overall. C/fwd - 84.36 L15's and RC P/L (incl L15's) = -139.04 Highlights for me were Will Buick getting a 4 timer and Billy Loughnane getting the better of Will Buick in the 2.12 at Nm on Asian Daze at 9/1 Flop of the day has to be Inisherin, billed as Timeform star of the day and promoted on the Opening show as if it couldn't lose.1 point -

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/francois-letexier/profil/schiedsrichter/14311/plus/0?funktion=1&saison_id=2020&wettbewerb_id= French ref for the final, no suggestion of him beating Bellingham's grandad in a bitterly disputed game of boules so far! Stats have him as a middler but 11/10 for 4-6 cards is hardly a juicy price. I have him hitting that mark in 8 out of 14 competitive Internationals only going over 6 once. 4 red cards in those games, and 7 games hitting 50+ points (only 1 needing a red card to do so). Given what's at stake here I'd say that odds against for 50 points or more is a reasonable bet, still waiting for all firms to price up. 11/10 minimum, let's see if we can do better.1 point
