    DAILY LUCKY 15

We see your updates every day but there's no real context. Are those numbers for 2024 to date or from a certain date "when records began"? Do you know how many bets you've had in each category or at least what your total stakes have been? It would be more useful to know what your balances are as a percentage of the total amount staked. There's a big difference between losing, say, just 2% of your stakes v 10% or more than 25% etc. It would be more useful to you and us if you were keeping tabs of the return on your outlay. (It would give you a metric to try and improve by making better selections.) I speak as someone who's having a bit of a stinker of a November but, come month end, I'll know how much I staked and how much I got back both in total, by type of bet and by bookie. Not everyone would want to record as much data as I do (though some no doubt record more) but just keeping a tally of your losses alone isn't going to help you improve the bottom line.

  6. Tricky race this and maybe I should have kept the powder dry up against a course specialist in Bebside Banter but I just feel Pep Talking should be just too strong here and being a Spurs fan and giving City a lesson in their own backyard weirdly draw me even more to this horse.

  7. Reckon that’s a great spot mate. In the last 10 years there have been 8,6,4,7,8,3,6,2,6 and 3 170 checkouts in the tournament. So that bet has landed in the last 5 years. Have seen Bet365 go over 4.5 170 checkouts at odds of 2.37, so I’ve taken a bit of that.

    DAILY LUCKY 15

    1. I like a challenge, and 2. I quite enjoyed watching the races and didn't sit around being grumpy all day. I had just 1 winner today at 15/2, Another Day Out in the 1.15 at Ludlow. The horse refused to race last time but had the hood put back on, so I thought it was well worth the risk of including it. It was also tremendous fun to watch Leave Of Absence chase Iberico Lord home at my price of 16/1 against the favourite. My total stakes today were 3 points and my return on the winner was 1.10. Hence a loss of 1.90. My C/Fwd balance on the L15's is -142.95 and my C/Fwd balance on the RC P/L incl L15's is -208.52. My Accas balance on RC (included in results) is -10.89. I can live with a loss of 1.90 whilst enjoying watching eight races when I have nothing better to do. I hope you find this explanation satisfactory.

  17. that's a good idea. I think most people who get in a position where it's a problem will do so because they're trying to bet on too many things or too much. That's what I like about the Forum and people tipping up. You feel like there is more of a responsibility and it forces you to really research your tips.

  18. Championship looks tricky tonight, I'll just try to buy some money on Sheffield at home to Oxford, 6-2 was a bit harsh on them last time but away to Sheffield United won't be much easier. 3pts win 2/5 Bet365. P/L: -10.70pts Easy early payout for once.

Boyles are offering 8/13 on over 3.5 170 finishes. Considering there was at least 3 in the Players Championship, I think this has a good chance of coming in, albeit it's a fairly short price. I seem to remember there being a few 170s in last year's tournament too. EDIT: I've just checked, there were 8 170s last year! Needless to say I'm having some of that 8/13 before it disappears!

  24. Be mindful of where you're posting as we're now running with two consolation competitions and one main comp. also, I see no reason why we cannot jump straight into Tuesday for the next game week so be prepared to post again by the deadline Wednesday 7:30 pm for the next game week. The thread will be up on Sunday. Can't say I didn't warn you all

    DAILY LUCKY 15

Hi Harry, My daily results are for 2024 from January 1st. I will start to keep a record of the number of bets and how much has been staked in each category. It seems a good idea to begin this from January 1st 2025 as I can rearrange my spreadsheet to suit. It was around about April when I started doing multiple Lucky 15's. My L15 balance then was about -95.00 points. This has grown to -143 points since then, so about -48 points. If I can get an L15 up before the end of the year, it will hopefully clear my deficit. I am always optimistic. The key point I am trying to make is that one can have fun with their betting and not lose too much money, so it hurts. Even if a punter did four Lucky 15's to cover either eight races with two selections or 16 races with one selection, using 0.05 stakes the most they could lose in a day would be three points. Not only that, they would have the opportunity each day to win a significant amount of money, depending on the odds obtained. This, I believe, would satisfy the needs of most ordinary punters who enjoy his/her racing.

This is not going well since the end of the flat season - system doesn't seem to work so well with NH racing. I will have to review this and maybe even try to create a lay system with the lower odds runners - not heavy odds on and no high price lays - we'll see - Yesterdays results - Kempton 1.00 Thistle Be The One 11/4 £2.00 W Hill----lost 3/1 Kempton 1.30 Gidleigh Park 11/10 £2.00 W Hill----lost 10/11f Ludlow 12.45 Oakley’s Way 7/4 £2.00 Fred------lost 11/4 Ludlow 3.25 Pure Theatre 15/2ew £2.00 Coral-----lost 13/2ew Lost £8.00 New total lost £69.58 and betfair Ludlow 12.45 Oakley’s Way 2.96 £2.00 £2.00 Kempton 1.00 Thistle Be The One 4.30 £1.00 £1.00 Kempton 1.30 Gidleigh Park 2.14 £2.00 £2.00 Ludlow 3.25 Pure Theatre 9.40 £1.00 £1.00 Lost 6.00 Total lost £40.63

Maguire was crap today. Luca still very much a part-time snooker player but was lucky that Jones was hopeless too or he would have won 6-2. I think the time has come for World Snooker to ban the old green Triangle chalk as the table was a mess every time Luca played a shot and the number of kicks were definitely noticeable.

just typical that Van Veen is in that half. De Decker too, Bunting too, ugh that bottom half is so open. Anderson should really make the final but for me Dobey, Nijman, Ross Smith & maybe even the likes of Clemens look a bet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_PDC_World_Darts_Championship

  45. Francisca Jorge to beat Leolia Jeanjean at 2.25 with Bet365 Same reasoning as when I was opposing Jeanjean in the previous bet. The conditions could very well frustrate her, and Jorge is one of those sticky players that are hard to get rid of if you don't have endless patience, which Jeanjean most definitely doesn't. Either she blows Jorge off the court or she loses.
