four-leaf
Does anyone have any other ideas than what's already been posted? I can't say I like Bianca Andreescu as a bet and Venus Williams doesn't apeal either. I think I'll stick to my bets on the mens only, Zoe Hives is the only womens bet I've taken in first round and that's enough even though I'm sad about missing the great chance of picking Rebecca Peterson as she was a 2.75 underdog and that wasn't bad but I missed it. Anyways I go for this following bet... Marton Fucsovics to beat (-2.5 sets) Albert Ramos Vinolas at 2.23 with Unibet What's already been said is enough but this is another bet but doesn't matter, he should cover the 6.5 line and win in straights. aussietennisexpert
I don’t think so; i have kei + Osaka + simon === misha Zverev ==== Schwartzman but it seems the odds are much lower now === I was thinking of doing marton + fogini
aussietennisexpert
I would avoid any bet on Benoit paire but that’s just me. Been burnt in the past and I find it’s been hard to trust him the last few months / past year or so

I'll probably lose on it, Dominic shows up being excellent and Benoit just his usual self and then things don't work out as we know.
aussietennisexpert
Good luck ! It can go both ways with this guy

four-leaf
Well Marton Fucsovics couldn't win in straights but he covered the handicap... Typical not to get both in!
CzechPunter
PCB and Darcis very disappointing, but I'm not going to complain too much given the great last week.
owenclass
Simona Halep vs Kaia Kanepi Over 20.5 games 8/11 paddy power Kanepi to win 4/1 paddy power I can see Kanepi causing Halep problems as she has not played for a while and is without a coach. So we could see an upset as she does not always play well in the first round Edited January 15, 2019 by owenclass
Hermes
If you're into live bets I'd go for Pablo Carreno Busta at around 1.95 right now and a speculative one for Bradley Klahn at around 2 over on Unibet.Good Value for money on both
Hermes
M. Kukushkin to L.Pouille at 2.28 on Unibet and Copil Marius at 1.64. No write up on the first.Just think there's value on Kukushkin given his later exploits towards the end of last year (Vienna) offseason withstanding. ElPrincipito007
Early bet: Hsieh @2,02 (Marathonbet) The bookies really don't know who is the favourite in this one. The odds are changing a lot now. For me, Hsieh is the better player of the two. A win against Azarenka in the first round doesn't change my opinion on that. darko08 and CzechPunter
aussietennisexpert
Fritz to beat Monfils @ 2.37 bet365 monfils said he felt slightly injured after the last match and is less and less consistent. Taylor fritz is playing well. is anyone seeing any value there ? Edited January 15, 2019 by aussietennisexpert
aussietennisexpert
Cilic + rba + dimitrov @ 1.6 bet365 rba: if Millman couldn’t beat Simon in 3 sets I don’t see what he can do against an in form rba in 5 sets Cilic dispatched Tomic easily for his first match of the year .. mac Donald is not as dangerous as Tomic at Australia open and already did a good perf. Dimitrov looking for grand slam breakthrough with Agassi on his side did drop a set to tisspa but yeah should not have any problem vs cuevas darko08

CzechPunter
I.Karlovic/K.Nishikori - Over 36.5 games at 1.82 with Pinnacle Obviously Karlovic is an aging force etc. etc., but Nishikori was just dreadful in the first round. He wasn't reading serves at all, he was getting punished for everything, and who knows what would've happened without his opponent falling apart physically. Karlovic can keep this close imo, the conditions are fast enough for him. four-leaf and darko08
CzechPunter
Dayana Yastremska to beat Carla Suarez-Navarro at 1.62 with Pinnacle CSN has been poor since the start of the season, Yastremska is talented enough to take advantage of it, both better and more experienced than Burel, who gave CSN a good fight despite being nervous. four-leaf and darko08
South_African_Punter
Thanks for the tip re Raonic @CzechPunter ! Cruised to a 3 set win. Was never really troubled by Kyrgios!
darko08
Note of the day: Do not touch -1.5 Set Handicap again, especially with women. The low number of upsets is absolutely strange. In fact, the only real upset till now is Julia Goerges (I can't see Isner as big upset considering the opponent he had).
CzechPunter
I'd say that Azarenka was a bigger upset than Goerges. darko08

Perhaps suggests there will be a higher than usual number of upsets in the next round or perhaps R3...but it's been tough for people backing the outsiders. I didn't even back the outsider Darcis against Coric - simply just needed him to win a set... darko08
WinningTipster
Australian Open 2nd round match 1/2 amount on MERTENS-GASPARYAN 2:0 SETS @ 2 betfair sportsbook 1/2 amount on MERTENS to defeat GASPARYAN @ 1.36 betfair sportsbook (1.32 on pinnacle) After missing an year with injuries, Gasparyan was far from her best in 2018 and it looks to continue in 2019. Mertens is too good from the baseline for her.
CzechPunter
Well, Paire should've saved those backing outsiders and he probably would've had he not thrown away the first set in his usual manner.
CzechPunter
@SmashingTip While we do appreciate your input, those links don't have their place there and we're also missing the tip or your clear opinion. In fact, your posts look like advertisements more than anything else. Please change that from now on. Torque
