  4. Morning all. An advised 5/1 winner with SPRINGT DE LA MARE and a 14/1 each way placed (5th) yesterday to pull my February jumps selections back into the profit column for now, and so on we go. The weather dictates there is little to go at today, and though nothing is fancied with any great vigour this will be my one jumps play today with brief summarising: (Devon National) Exeter 3.30 GOOD WORK e/w @ 11/1 (generally) 3 places (cheeky small rev. f/cst with Planned Paradise/optional small single cover) 3.30 Currently the outsider on the book with most firms the selection put up a decent performance last time out at Uttoxeter. Tries marathon trip for the first time today so stamina is major question mark but handicap mark is decent enough for the race. Should handle testing ground as started off it's race career in France running well enough on heavy ground and has subsequently also gone well in the UK on a soft surface. He is worth a small outside each way stab with possibly Planned Paradise an outside danger, having already shown some aptitude for the longer trip and testing ground. * Probably be posting some "flatties for fun" following 12/1 winner PADDY'S BOY last night.

  14. Rubaud will be hard to beat in the first race on ITV (1.50 Kempton) although he has yet to try this trip so won't be carrying my money today. MONDO NAN (2.25 Kempton) was smart on the flat and despite pulling like a mustang ran a race full of promise on his hurdles debut for Gary and Josh Moore when runner up to Luamaba at Ascot and with a crossed noseband and a different bit should be taking care of his five rivals all be it at skinny odds. I'm keen on one in the 3.00 Kempton, the Dovecote Novices' Hurdle. Miami Magic had CELTIC DINO 9L back in fourth when runner up at Aintree on Boxing Day in the Grade 1 Formby Novices' Hurdle but may struggle to confirm that form with Sam Thomas's charge. Thomas has stated that he's never had a horse that is so dependent on good ground so the soft conditions at Aintree that day were totally against him. As long the ground doesn't deteriorate he looks a great each way bet. The big handicap there is the 3.35 and it has a rather open look a about it. At a nice price my fancy is the Jonjo and AJ O'Neill trained BEACHCOMBER who impressed when winning over course and distance over Christmas by 10L. That form has worked out well with three of those behind winning since. He has to contend with a 9lb rise in the weights but looks good each way value with 4 places to small stakes. ROYAL CHAMPION (3.15 Southwell) will be hard to beat in the Winter Derby with the runner up from his latest win winning since. He should see out the extra furlong and be hard to beat. Also at Southwell GLEN BUCK (3.50) has standout claims for the Varian team and is the day's best bet. The feature race at Newcastle, the Eider Chase at 2.10 is wide open and a no play race for me although last year's runner up PRINCE DES FICHAUX could outrun his monster odds and place. I can also pass on a good word for the David Pipe runner GOLD IN THE RIVERS (2.32 Chepstow) who is making his handicap debut for Pipe having had a wind op since last seen. I'll be backing him each way.

First 4 races ew thieving bets 4x ew yankees, you could add in Rohaan with Intervention for bigger multtiple.. 4.10 Sudden Flight 4/1 1st Coeur Jaune 11/1 unplaced 4.45 Java Raja 5/4 3rd 11/8 5.15 Liam Swagger 1/3 1st 1/3 Roland Garros 5/1 9.2 bf a classic late n/r to ruin the bets 3rd but 7 runners 7.45 Windsor Pass 5/1 8s bf exchanges placed 6/1 A pity about n/r in 3rd leg ruined the bets 5.45 Fernando 20/1 365 4 places unplaced 6.15 Rohaan 7/2 Intervention 35/1 40s bf 4 places 2nd 7/2 and 4th 33/1 some nice place perms on excjanges on Rohaan 1.81 a place couldn't be out of three and Intervention strangey only 5.18 4 places..a decent result couldn't back Rohaan ever again after that,Intervention set the race up fir finishers just doesn't wabt to win..decent ew bet though.. Rohaan i've been taking on fir the last 18 months,is regressive when you consoder he was a group 1 horses a couple of years ago, this will be the first time i've bet the horse in maybe 2 years,if he can't win off 82 then he's going to have to drop even more in class..Obviously going to win races but his decline has been siginifucant..Chief Manikato has decent chances as well 2nd here in a 0-95. 6.45 Big Narstie 15/2 Brinton 14/1 akybet/unibet go 4 places on this race Lovely touch 1st 14/1 threw Tashkeer in fiur furecasts they've paid mssive £27 csf exacta £39 incredible,i saod the track might not suit the fav never looked like losing but Southwels running so slow just git outstayed which is what i was hoping..Back to Lingfiekd or Chelmsfird will beat those lot easily, might've gut away with it there if the track had been on the quick side but desperat;y slow..The race was slow by 6.68 seconds the hirse has never really run on anything that slow on the aw..will do me though. Tashkeer is well in and could easily win again..just a small ?on track. 7.15 Clyde Bank 6/1 Pinjarra 8/1 Melsmay 20/1 34s bfexchanges 4 places skybet Yorkstone would be different class to these on its form on this track last seaon, has flopped so far this season but this is a bad race.. All unplaced strung out like washing, you need out and out stayers on tonights surface although saying that Bomb Squad a veteran first ever win over 7fs,think its just the way the surface is they either like it slow or not.. 8.15 Swinging London 11/2 888sport 5/1 generally 4th got stake back on exchanges 4 places 1.48.. What you will find is some of the bigger pruces will drift and on the exchanges will be better value, the advantage of that is getting 4 places and getting stake back or even making some profit, and on 3 places in smaller fiekds..These are not strong picks, just an interest fir me today but there will be far better stuff to go at some point.. Not a great card tomorrow, hopefully something better on Saturday.. A respectable day 4/1,1/3,14/1 winners places 7/2,33/1,6/1 plus a nice little forecast in the 6.45..ew thieving bets were ruined by a n/r so are losers but did have two winners..lost on bigger perm placepot unsurprisingly as it paid £3.10 but the other perm i git everythung placed so i had it 24 times plus a favs straightline so won on those as well..

  17. Hi all, today there's a match in Segunda Division in Spain between Malaga and Tenerife that seems like a nice opportunity to me. Malaga are 14th with 7-14-6 overall and 5-6-2 at home and Tenerife ar 21st (second to last) with 4-7-16 overall and 0-3-10. H2H is 7-3-0, odds are @2.49 for a home win and I think these are worth to bet on

  19. Not really my sort of cards as better grade racing on the aw you don't have a great deal to go on as they only run on it once or twice and Southwells riding really slow, did ok today but still guessing which horses will go on it when it's so slow..One thing i would avoid is betting horses that have been winning on poly and now switching to this surface tomorrow, you really are guessing doing that even if they may appear standputs or even if they win,it's speculation..Monday is usially my best day all deoending which cards are on..the only good thing about Saturday aw racing you get alot of mug money betting anything so can be some massive value on the exchanges with some drifters..Small interests fir me First 4 races ew multiples PLACEPOTS 1,4,11 1,4 ,11 1,4 3,4,5,6 3,4,5,6 3,5 2,3,6,8,9 2 2 1,2,4,7,8,9,11 1,2,4,7,8,9,11 1,2,4,7,8,9,8,11 2,6,7,8,9,11 2,6,7,8,9,11 2,6,7,8,9,11 1,2,4,7 2,7 2,7 And a favs line. Southwell 2.40 Dilligent Harry 4/1 6s bf Valiant Force 6/1 4 places placed 6/1 but Dilligent Harry just ran like last time out won this race last year beat todays winner Clarendon House by over 3ls,outpaced and just stated on,either they haven't got it right or as a 6yr old has regressed.. Dilligent Harry i thought ran poorly last time out,TV pundits said it was a decen ru against an impruved sprinter, wasn't backed up by the time so hope that was just a blow out and Dilligent Harry hasn't regressed as looked one to follow on the Lingfield win last season in a very fast time.. 3.15 Millitary Academy 11/4 placed Some very strange stats on sire Fastnet Rock which are outstanding on the aw,but when running over this 1m3fs only had 1/36 winners that's why i'm hesitant with these bets,if you go up a furlong its 18% if you go down a furlong its 40%,tomorriw will be interesting if it runs poorly then the stats will backj it up.. Chelmsford 5.45 Empassant 10/3 placed 4/1 1.92 3 places on bf looked decent place bet bug druft,1.49 4 places 5.30 Alrazeen 5/2 Marble Sands 7/1 Circuit Breaker 16/1 4 places placed 7/1 and 16/1 been some decent picks today, with the extra places it makes them worth doing lands a few ew multiples but again Dilligent Harry makes a huge difference.Roughly worked the out for £1 ew stakes wins over £200 didn't think they would get near that, settle fir that if Dilligent Harry had git up wouldv'e been some nice place bets landed..I took away the Dream Harder race and replaced it with this race, wosh i'd done some bigger multiples now with that extra 12/1 place.. 3.50 Dream Harder 12/1 4 places placed 12/1 Glenbuck wins.. 20. Hi @CzechPunter I honestly don't know what that guy's gripe is with me. As @neilovan mentioned afterwards, it was indeed bizarre. I've always been respectful of all other punters here and value their input. I don't think I've even had any interactions with him before now, and out of the blue he has a go at me. I can only assume he's not 100% mentally well, this is in no way normal behaviour. I know it's not my place to tell anyone what they should do, as I am not an admin but I don't think such people should be welcomed on our forums here, deliberately stirring up trouble as he did, totally unprovoked. I enjoy coming to the tennis and darts forums, sometimes the snooker too, and I don't think I've come across anyone behaving like that guy did. It's simply not good for the harmony of the forum to allow such people free reign. I honestly think the forum would be better off without such disruptive (and possibly unstable) characters, but that's not my decision I know. Thanks everyone here for all of your contributions, I don't think I've ever said that before, but I do appreciate all you decent members.

  28. For me both Andreeva v Rybakina and Tauson v Muchova have a good chance of winning today. Andreeva is absolutely at the top of her game. This is her best 'rating' of her career, and she has been very good this tournament. Swiatek 6-3 6-3, Stearns 6-1 6-1, Avanesyan 6-2 6-1 is some serious rinsing. Cleaning good opponents up for fun, with ease. I was quite put off Tauson after her Australian Open loss to Sabalenka. She had chances, but did not handle the big moments well. I hated her body language in that match. You cannot give your opponents energy with negative body language. It is an absolute NO-NO in pro sports. You may as lie down and give up. But maybe she has been working recently with a mind coach/sports psychologist. I like the fact that she has won 4/4 tie breakers and 7 of her last 8 matches. In a sport where 50-50 is almost the norm these are impressive numbers. My main question is can Muchova handle 4 matches in 4 days? With her history of injury problems, I am not so sure. I like Tauson to win here. For me a 1 unit bet on each of the above as a single. Great day both win 🏆, average 1 wins and no winners would be💩 As for the ATP at Doha, those two matches are just too close to call. 29. The draw has been made today for the last 16 games. I'm not a big football follower but I would be interested if anyone has got a idea who might win. Would it be a good idea to have a team in both halves of the draw. Been listening on Talksport and they seem to like Barcelona's way through to the final. Cheers Tony

  36. Barcelona look plenty short enough to me, regardless of the draw. Of the favourites I don't think you can look past Real Madrid - if they were a horse you'd be talking about course and distance and they have that in spades in this competition. For them to be bigger than Barca on the exchanges looks the wrong way around to me and so I've had a punt at 5.7 and in the same half I'd say Arsenal are a decent price at 7.47 as a bigger price alternative. As for the other half, I'm not in love with any teams there. If forced I'd go for Barcelona or Bayern.

In my opinion this is a bit of a lottery but 2 prices stand out for value to these eyes the first is Sybyll Vogt at 16/1 to be top female jockey and at 40/1 the same rider for the overall prize.
