  2. Morning 🤝🏽 Three ante post selections for me ahead of the weekend. If I've analysed correctly I think all three will significantly shorten and I've had 2pt wins on each. Will be plenty of NRs and I am pretty confident all three run so trying to take some serious value now 👍🏼 2pt wins on each selection 6pts staked in total Good luck if you follow 💷🏇🤝🏽

  3. Ballywood dropped 47lb from peak rating, wonder if he will pop up one day (hopefully today for you 😀). Was entitled to have needed a few runs after 3 years off. Racing post gave him an RPR of 93 at Fontwell, suggesting he's not completely gone.

  5. I will post and record the selections here from now to keep it all in one place - more tidier I hope. Rules - 1 - Horses that have dropped at least 2 levels from their last race - 2 - I will not back heavy odds on shots - i.e. under 4/5 - (just a personal preference) 3 - Staking plan is £2 win from 4/5 to under 4/1 - £1 ew any price from 4/1 upwards (another personal preference) 4 - To give this a little run out I will continue with this till Xmas and see where it goes. 10. This Sunday’s Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham is always a race worth following and this year’s renewal, run over 2M 1/2F of the old course has attracted twenty at the six day declaration stage this lunchtime and is no exception. One horse who has been on my radar for the race for a while is James Owen’s Burdett Road who looks worth a decent each way bet. This will be his handicap debut over hurdles following two victories at Huntingdon and over course and distance at this meeting a year ago with a ten length second to the top class Sir Gino last January another top effort on his third and final start asa three-year-old hurdler. He has some excellent flat form when in the care of Michael Bell which including winning the Golden Gates Handicap at Royal Ascot on fast ground in June of 2023. The four-year-old appears to have taken his form to another level since joining Owen making all to win the listed 1M 4F Al Basti Equiworld , Dubai Godolphin Stakes at Newmarket in the mud by 8 1/2L from the progressive Military Academy who’s won a handicap since. His only outing since has come in the Group 2 Qipco Long Distnace Cup at Ascot on Champions Day when he was slowly away and could never get to the front trailing in sixth of the 9 runners beaten only 7 3/4L by champion stayer Kyprios. Despite the race not falling right for him that was a fair effort and he has an official handicap mark of 109 which in comparison to his rating over hurdles means he could be very well treated back over hurdles. I would love to see him get out in front in the manner he did at Newmarket when so impressive and with the drying ground unlikely to worry him looks excellent each way value. Current favourite Dysart Enos is unbeaten under rules in six races and looks the biggest danger although a close eye should be kept on the Emmet Mullins duo of Jacovec Cavern (last seen running ninth when favourite in the Cesarewitch) and Toll Stone. Mullins won this race in 2020 with The Shunter. Burdett Road has a lenient looking initial handicap mark and he looks worth a good each way bet. BURDETT ROAD 2 points each way @ 5/1 (general, 1/4 1234)

  12. Ga law. 979 9/1 Ginny's destiny. 973 3/1 Stage star. 962 Protektoret. 961 Il ridoto 955 As you'd expect ...a ridiculously hard race to rate .....not that much between the top 5 overall ...each horse has it's merits .....bookies really favour Ginny's destiny and I can see why but I think overall there's better value in ga law who will come with a fitness advantage and is 3x the price so warrants the value bet badge ..... .....this looks a strong renewal so I don't think I'll ridoto is good enough and protektoret has a huge weight to carry .....likewise stage star who won this last year but will have to shoulder more weight this time against unexposed types .... For me it's 8pt win ginny .....4 PT ga law .......that feels a strong hand to play in a classy race Edit ...nicholks is talking about Ginny's running in the king George !!.......so he'd have to annilate these if that's the case ....🤔

  13. Rock out, unfortunately. "Two out of three ain't bad", but realistically, Rock was supposed to be my best bet... Wade and Lukeman are big outsiders even in this field. At least Lukeman and Wattimena delivered the group win, Scutt did not. "Two out of three ain't bad." 😀

Good shout mate - I’ve just done the same. As you say, they’re in a nice section of the draw so hopefully one of them can make the semi-finals at least.

And Anderson, underwhelming performance from the Scot and got completely owned by Nora-Lynn on the 180s. Poor stuff, especially considering how good he's been up til this.

    Paddy power gold cup

Taken some 3/1 (Skybet) Ginny's Destiny for the Paddy Power Gold Cup on Saturday. Shorter with most bookies and looks rock solid given he does well at Cheltenham (won 3 chases here and only 2L behind Grey Dawning at the festival). Yards runners have needed a run but he can obviously get them ready to win if he wants. 2pts win 3/1 P/L: +5.9pts

  26. I don't know about you but, whilst I'm glad of a week's respite from the mayhem of the UEFA club competitions, it seems a bit soon for yet another International break! The main event, such as it is, is the Nations League which has games from Thursday through to Sunday. There are also friendlies and qualifying games around the globe. Domestically there's the Women's Champions League, ELF Trophy, National Leagues North and South and Scottish Challenge Cup to see us over the next couple of days. Here are the NL games for Thursday with England away to Greece and Belgium v Italy the game of the day. Should you deign to keep your hand in with a bet or two over the coming days then please share them with us here.

  27. you never know. Nobody in this field now has won this event so they'll be a few nerves. Especially the top half. Noppert always feels the nerves so if Edhouse has a blip then that top half is so open.
