  1. Hi all, just posting here again incase we have same issues as yesterday. TumbleweedKing filling in for The Brigadier who is having a day off. Good luck if following, but hopefully a winner or two listed below. NAP 3-15 Huntingdon - BREAKING COVER Breaking Cover has only really had a handful of starts for Anthony Honeyball but he was travelling really well last time when coming to grief three from home. He would have had a big say in the finish, but he has been given plenty of time to recover and with Sam Twiston-Davies placing Rex Dingle in the saddle, the pair ought to be able to do a little bit better. He has fitness on his side compared to a few of his main rivals and this looks a decent opportunity for him to finally gain a win over hurdles. DAILY TIPS 1-55 Leicester - CORSICAN CAPER Corsican Caper has been in tremendous form and bounced back to winning ways at Haydock in a similar event last time. Although he is trying to win off a career high mark and has been in good form, the same cannot be said of his rivals here this afternoon. Many have struggled to put a couple of good runs together and have had easier opportunities than this in the past. Although this is just two days after his latest outing, he looks more than capable of getting involved once more. 3-45 Yarmouth - HOVER ON THE WIND Hover On The Wind scored a first ever career success when winning over this course and distance last time out. This is his third outing here in a row and he will be hoping to back up that win with another one off a six-pound higher mark. Silvestre De Sousa is back on board despite Marco Ghiani winning on him last time, but the Brazilian jockey knows him like the palm of his had having ridden him plenty in the past. With that confidence boosting success on the board, he looks likely to improve again and can make it back-to back wins here at Yarmouth. 4-05 Cartmel - BOOMBAWN Boombawn takes a notable step back in trip for Dan and Harry Skelton in this handicap chase over an extended two miles. The seven-year-old son of Dylan Thomas made it two wins from his last three starts over a few furlongs further at Warwick last time on what was his debut over the larger obstacles. Connections clearly feel he has the speed for this shorter trip and they will be hoping that his impeccable jumping holds strong. There is still more to come from in this sphere from him and no surprise to see him go well. 4-15 Leicester - MUDSKIPPER (E/W) Mudskipper backers will be hoping he can live up to his name as he makes his second appearance of the season. The ground on his seasonal reappearance looked a bit too fast for him, but a return to a surface with a bit more give will certainly be in his favour. He has won over this one mile trip in the past and David Menusiers’ runners have tended to need their first run back. The booking of David Egan really catches the eye as he is one from one on horses for the stable this year. There looks to be further improvement to come and not without a chance. 5-55 Leicester - MOON OVER THE SEA (E/W) Moon Over The Sea could well bounce back to form in this closing handicap at Leicester. The five-year-old has enjoyed a positive campaign on the all-weather and he now bids to continue that on grass. The drop back to a mile was probably what found him out last time and no surprise to see Declan Carroll move him back up a couple of furlongs here. Rossa Ryan knows the horse well and has won on him three times previously. Many of his rivals are woefully out of firm here and no surprise to see a better performance this time around. ACCA 3-05 Leicester - MATSURI Matsuri comes here on the back of a six month break and bids to continue from where he left off. The classily bred son of Sea The Stars stayed on well over a mile at Kempton when last seen to just get up and deny Brioni by a neck. It comes as no great surprise to see him step up in trip here and further improvement can be found for it. The form of that last race is working out quite well and Roger Varian looks to have another decent type on his hands. 4-55 Huntingdon - SALVATORE Salvatore got up to win his first race over hurdles last time and connections will be hopping that he can back that up here. He has had a good five week break since and Paul O’Brien is once again in the saddle. He was held up for a late run last time and did all of his best work in the closing stages at Kempton last time out. The form is beginning to work out as the sixth placed horse (Eric Carmen) has come out and franked the form subsequently. With a newly found confidence, he can carry on improving and rates as a danger to all. 5-20 Leicester - ALLONSY Allonsy represents a very much in form Ralph Beckett team. The three-year-old filly was beaten only a short head on her seasonal reappearance at Windsor just last month. The stable are enjoying some good results of late and connections will be hoping that this Kirsten Rausing owned filly can get off the mark on what is her second run of the year. The step up in trip clearly brought about the required improvement in her last time and can do so again here. Rossa Ryan takes over in the saddle for the first time and the pair should prove to be the ones to beat.

  3. Just starting a discussion about the big races this weekend .....not sure what the ground will be yet .....with scattered showers currently on the soft side ....it's possible it might dry and go off good sft ..... The derby is a bit of a puzzle .....all hinging on what city of Troy is ....certainly looks an o brien derby type but I've got to remain neutral and give the computer all the form as I see it and let it decide ... Derby Ambient friendly 8.9. Class 65 Ancient wisdom. 8.7 class 99 Illinois 8.3. class 60 City of Troy 8.0 ? ++ Dancing Gemini. 7.9 Diego valzquez. 7.6 Macduff. 7.6 Los Angeles. 7.4 Dallas star 7.1 Portland 7.1 Seyadati sedati. 7.0 Gods window. 6.7 Voyage. 6.7 Bellum Justum. 6.7 Diera mile. 6.5 Euphrates 6.5 Euphoric 6.5 Defiance 6.5 Padesha 6.5 Kamboo 6.5 Mister Hampstead 6.5 Tabletalk 6.5 Ambient friendly looks the form choice overall and has been heavily backed into around 9/2.....an ient wisdom steps up in trip from 10f but has a much higher class rating so if gets the distance he could easily spring a surprise .....Illinois was annilated by ambient friendly so I can't see that one being a danger but is priced at big prices (33?). So.could be a value Ew bet especially if could get 4 places or better ......before betting was suspended on Betfair there was 7.0 and 7.8 available and that looks value bets on top two so if that is still available when betting resumes I'll be taking that on top two ......interesting and classy race

    French Open 2024

Some of the results yesterday were just shocking. Draper losing ... seriously, he was 23 to 100 to win. For me not value in anything under 2 to 10 Shnaider lost odds 1.15 Krejcikova was 1.14 French open winner who can't win a match at the French since. Man she was awful. 55+ unforced in 21 games is a joke at pro level. I like a small treble today. Norrie to beat Kotov, Begu to beat Riera and Bogdan to beat Jacqemont (around 2.2 to 1) Norrie does not have the game to beat the big boys, but it definitely works well against the 57+ rankings. Begu is very good at the 2 set win and the 2-0 sets is also an option. I like Bogdan. Always seems to get a tough major draw, but this matchup looks like 1 way traffic to me. Jacquemot having a rough 2024. In the longer shots I have three bets. All taken as singles Fils v Arnaldi . Arnaldi to win at odds around 2.3. Fils gets very emotional and the boorish French crowd will turn it into a circus. I think the emotion will cost Fils. I watched him a few weeks ago v Lajovic, and he got emotional and lost his focus. Kecmanovic v Monteiro . Monterio to win at odds of evens. Monteiro coming though qualies but he beat Kecmanovic in Rome (close 3 setter, as well as beating Thompson and Monfils). Kalinskaya v Clara Burel. Burel beat Svitolina recently and it was not fluke. Being a former junior #1 means that technically you are very very good. You need physicality and body growth, as well as game growth as the body adapts. Burel is serving better (much harder), and hitting the ball harder, and she is small, which makes it even more impressive. Kalinskaya also lost 4 of her last 6 clay court matches, and had a retirement. She is just here to collect her 75K USD.

    French Open 2024

I don't think you can discount someone who has won it 14 times, regardless of their current situation. Nadal will leave nothing in the tank here. He knows he can't win the whole thing but will not want out in the 1st round. I am not crazy about Zverev. I think his transition game is lousy. Not the 1st strike game, where you serve well and hit the returned ball for a winner. But the midcourt rally ball, getting low, hitting the right shot to the right place. I think Zverev is quite poor at this. Last year Ruud beat him 6-4 6-3 6-0 and this part of his game was so poor. eventually he gave up. Hopefully Nadal changes tactics somewhat and uses this weakness to his advantage. I expect shorter points, and more drop shots.

Arnaldi vs Fils Over 38.5 @1.92 Ranking 6 positions apart, Arnaldi is 3-0 in H2H but all matches are closely contested. With home crowd support, Fils will wanna beat the Italian for the first time so expect the 2 powerful youngsters to fight it out in a long match of at least 4 sets with at least one set to go to the distance of 7 games.

  21. IF anyone offers the market then it's definitely worth looking for a decent price about a team who you can see getting out of the group over the obvious no-hopers. I was hoping for "most goals conceded" as opposed to most scored but just saw "least goals scored" and went off on one with it. Let's say I've had a few bets based on the erroneous conclusions but luckily to very small stakes! I guess the team that scores least goals is more likely to be one that doesn't get out of the group!

    French Open 2024

Sara Sorribes Tormo (-4.5) to beat Bianca Andreescu at 1.86 with Unibet Andreescu hasn't played since Montreal last year, and the surface doesn't really play to her strengths here, so I'm not sure how much damage she will be able to do against SST, who's been very solid all year long, and who has all the fitness to out-last Andreescu as well. Unless Andreescu hits a purple patch here, she'll go down easily. Yulia Putintseva to beat Sloane Stephens at 1.73 with Bet365 I really liked how Putintseva dismantled Stephens in Rome a couple of weeks ago, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a repeat of that here. Putintseva has improved a lot recently, and she's always pumped up for matches. Stephens just might not have the energy and will despite this being a GS match.
