RESULTS UPDATE At long last I am in a YTD profit. One of my L15's and accas won with three winning selections and a non-runner. This produced a profit of 189.53 points + a small return on an ew bet meant a profit for the day of 190.23. After deducting my YTD loss of -133.92 I am now in YTD profit of 56.316 points -

Yes. I wondered what was going on. Betfred has settled the bet at 89.15 for the L15 and 104.38 for the Acca = a profit of 189.53. At least I'm now up on the cumulative bets by about 140.00 points π6 points -

NZ I hate you! of all the teams I liked the look of and the prices they were at and I choose these two chuckle brothers. 2-0 up and throw it away. 3 darts at double top and end up needing D7. utter dross. only plus side is that all the outright bets look to be through to the last 16.2 points -

I don't disagree entirely, however, the problem is that I quite often fancy more than one horse in a race. It takes me ages to check through my races despite my usual poor results. So, today, as I felt I had looked at the Newbury races properly I decided to go with different selections in the same races and have a go with two L15's. It was my least fancied L15 that paid off. Sod's law was on my side for once2 points -

Craig bluenose and one other reacted to LeMale for a topic
Not sure betting two L-15's on the same races with different picks is the way to go, although this seems stupid to say now you've just won with one of them! My point would be, just how gutted are you going to be if you keep getting 2 in one and 2 in the other? That would annoy me more than any amount i won on both doubles.2 points -
What happened about doing what Zil suggested? I thought when you dropped from a 20p to a 10p you were doing two? (so you could cash out on one and keep the other one going) I guess maybe you're doing so many you've kept to 10p because you're doing more of them. You should do what i do, which is break it down into individual bets. I don't do many L-15's, there is just too much risk on the bigger priced horses that i pick and it would be a miracle if all 4 won so the bonus of them all winning doesn't really matter, it's just the "double odds for one winner" that i miss out on.(and i get more with my single bet anyway) I'm really looking to get a few placed and getting two winners is my bonus. I even break down my 6 mid price horses. I should have said the reason i'm telling you this is because of what you said about cashing out on a reasonable amount and not worrying about "The Big-Un" you're happy to take a nice sum a bit at a time. It works for me and yes i've lost money taking it too early, but i've got more than i should have done more often and profit is profit. It just seems to me that doing it this way would be to your benefit and i've been meaning to mention it to you for a little while, but didn't want it to look like i was butting my nose in as i'm sure you know all this already. Always works better if the first couple win and i always try to look for market movers that bet365 still haven't cut yet as my last one or two and it always helps if you have a bit of doubt about it yourself, because you can better justify the cash out. I normally do a bigger bet on the doubles, the same on the trebles and 4-folds and a bit less on the 5 and 6 folds (your not tied in with the same stake, you can choose. And can leave an acca out) To me the 10p or 20p (or whatever) on the singles (in the L-15) are pointless as i'm sure you put a proper bet on them as singles anyway. Have made a decent profit doing this last couple of years and you cannot let it get to you if you ever miss out on a "Big-Un" because you have a game-plan, cash em all out, cash some out, let em all ride, you can choose at any time during race-time, you're in control. God i do waffle on, sorry about that, but give it a trial run and see how you get on.2 points

I'm going to take NZ to beat Latvia tonight. NZ have Warren Parry and Ben Robb. In my eyes, they are better than Latvia's pair of Razma and Zukovs. Razma is better than Parry and Robb but if we talk purely in teams then I believe the better team is NZ. I'm taking the 4/1 on 4 teams all to win without dropping more than one leg. All four of those teams I expect to win well. Little added bonus if they can all win 4-0. 2.5pts New Zealand to beat Latvia 11/10 william hill 2pts Belgium, Australia, Canada & ROI (-2.5 leg handicap) 4/1 Skybet 0.5pts Belgium, Australia and ROI all to win 4-0 18/1 Skybet2 points

That was a really entertaining game last night. One that Croatia should have won in normal time. I was completely wrong on the unders but hopefully, Croatia go and win it. At least for Modric, who is possibly going to retire after the final (from international football) My preview of tonight's second semi-final - https://www.punterslounge.com/football-news/italy-vs-spain-tips-15-06-23/ I'll be taking both teams to score tonight. We've seen this happen in 4 out of the last 6 between the two. I also think Italy are value. Spain has won just 1 match in the last 5 now. I've gone for BTTS and Italy to win. 5.5pts Both teams to score 8/11 Bet365 2pts Italy to win and BTTS 13/2 Bet3652 points

Iβm not usually a big fan of the World Cup, but I think the format changes (particularly doubles matches only) will be good for the tournament, and Iβm looking forward to this renewal. Going on current form itβs easy to see why Wales are the strong favourites, Price and Clayton are good friends and both in pretty decent form, but they seem short enough in the betting. The price for the Netherlands to win has been pushed out in the last 24 hours due to van Gerwenβs withdrawal, and Iβm happy to leave them alone, I think I read somewhere that van Duijvenbode is carrying a bit of an injury and he didnβt impress in the recent Players Championship events. That leaves England and Scotland as the main contenders. Gary Anderson has been in fine form recently, including a win on the floor this week, but at the same events Wright was pretty awful. It would be typical for Snakebite to turn up for this event, but Iβm going to just side with England. Michael Smith and Rob Cross reached the final of this event in 2020 and both come into this with recent wins under their belts. Smith won on the ProTour on Monday and Cross won his first ever Euro Tour event just three weeks ago. Their price has been trimmed in a bit recently, but at 100/30 Iβm hoping Bully Boy and Voltage can win it for England, for the first time since 2016. Those are the four favourites, after that the prices jump up to around 20/1 for the likes of Germany, Australia and Belgium; and itβs the German team that make most appeal. On their day Gabriel Clemens and Martin Schindler are a match for anyone, and itβs only six months ago that Clemens reached the semi-final of the World Championship. The other thing in their favour is home advantage, I think this could be the year the German pair make their presence felt on the World Cup stage. Of those at bigger prices I think the Canadian pairing of Jeff Smith and Matt Campbell could go well. They find themselves in a very winnable group alongside India and Hungary and will expect to make the last 16 quite comfortably. Smith had a fine US Darts Masters a couple of weeks ago, whilst I always feel that Campbell plays better than his results suggest. For my final outsider I was going to plump for either the Philippines or the Czech Republic, unfortunately theyβve been drawn together in the same group, but given you can get the Asian pair at 500/1, Iβve decided to stick a few pennies on them. Christian Perez does hold a PDC tour card after winning it at Q-School earlier in the year, but the first time weβve seem him on the main circuit was earlier this week when he reached the quarter-finals of the floor event on Monday, included in that run was a win over Rob Cross. His partner is Lourence Ilagan who currently tops the Asian Tour money list this year and is always a player I enjoy watching. 3pts England @ 100/30 (Bet365) 1pt e/w Germany @ 20/1 (General) 0.5 pts e/w Canada @ 80/1 (General) 0.5 pts e/w Philippines @ 500/1 (Coral / Ladbrokes) (@Fader Just realised that weβve gone with very similar selections - letβs hope weβre both celebrating come Sunday night)2 points

This gets going tomorrow then (15-18th June) They've expanded it. 4 teams are seeded and through. They are England, Holland, Scotland and Wales. The other teams will be chosen with a group structure. 3 teams to a group. The top team goes through. No single matches, just teams playing the one-off match. So you need a good TEAM. I.e, Portugal is not a good selection with one good player (no offence to Portugal). The draw is random after the seeds (Last 16) and I'm yet to discover if it will be teams only in the knock-out stage or if there will be singles, also. So if anybody knows that, please let me know. MVG was supposed to be in this event but he has pulled out. Anderson is in for Scotland, which probably makes Scotland's price big. However, Wright has been woeful recently. I'm going with the following : 10pts staked 2pts e/w Scotland to win WCOD 8/1 skybet ------------------------------------------------- 1pt e/w Germany to win WCOD 20/1 Bet365 1pt e/w Australia to win WCOD 25/1 coral ------------------------------------------------- 0.5pts e/w R.Ireland to win WCOD 66/1 Bet365 ------------------------------------------------- 0.25pts e/w Canada to win WCOD 80/1 Skybet 0.25pts e/w Phillapines to win WCOD 500/1 coral1 point
