Well one of my worst days ever -20k euro. I hate poker :( its just a game of luck.

Just wondering how you 'get over' a big loss, as have had a run of 'negative variance :eyes' myself for a few buy-ins at NL100 this week which is what prompted my sarcy 'the rest of us are suckers comment'. Do you have to take a break and try and remain upbeat or any other methods? I've pretty much trained my brain to think positive at the tables now so whenever a negative thought creeps in auto-pilot switches on to 'Keep playing you're game it'll even out' 'Variance evens out' 'Just keep getting the money in when ahead' 'Stay calm!'. But even with all this my deepest inner thoughts were that maybe just maybe it doesn't even out in the end and i'm destined to lose or maybe the luck factor is too big in the game to be over-rided... I dunno what to think at the moment, just battling these demons. Any advice Mole?

Are there players you would say have been winning all that time that you still see and are the losers the here today and gone tomorrow types just taking a stab at it? There was never that many who played their, now there are quite a lot. Yes players dissappear but some just change their name so hard to track, and yes their are a couple of consistant losers. Also there are a lot of " have a go players" who come in late at night with their whole stack

Also on the table was Rob Sherwood who I met for the first time. What a decent chap! And also we had a very smartly dressed character who went by the name of 'The Mole'. This guy started playing online 25c/50c and is now playing $300/$600 on Virgin. Now there's an incredible story.
