Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015''

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' 4.00 Lingfield - Jaganory win @ 8/1 Bet365 Jaganory looks fairly well treated at the weights in this and is receiving over a stone from the current favourite Pool House. He's not the most consistent horse and isn't the easiest horse to win with so I won't be putting too much on him but he has shown a bit of ability in the past and has been placed off a mark of 74 in a handicap on the AW at Kempton. He is only 3 years old and is wearing a first time visor so I wouldn't be surprised if he can improve and win this.

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' Kempton 9.10 Satchville Flyer (4/1 bet365 bog) If non runner Southwell 7.50 Follow The Tracks Satchville Flyer was a beaten favourite last time out at Chelmsford. I don’t really understand the reason for running in that race as it was at 5f where as all his previous runs had been between 6f and 10f, which included 2 class 6 wins at 6f, both wins coming at Chelmsford. That last run was in a class 5 but despite the shorter distance and slight up in class, he was only beaten 1 length into second. Previous to that over 6f here at Kempton he was just touched off by a short head. So today once again over his winning distance of 6f he should be had hard to beat

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' Lingfield 2.30 - 1pts win, Royal History - 11/10, >Bet365 Ran 2nd on debut at Kempton and after breaking slowly made good headway and although a well beaten 2nd I think he will be a big chance today with that run under his belt.

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' Lingfield 3.30 - Thomas Blossom (13/2 BetVictor) 1pt Win Disappointing when well backed last time out when well backed but would have a very good chance on form shown prior to that and is worth another chance at a more than fair price today.

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' 7.40 Kempton: Class 3 Handicap, 1m 3f The flat season is in full flight, yet we have some really interesting racing on Kempton's All-Weather tonight. This intriguing Class 3 Handicap for four year olds and older horses appears to be an open enough contest with seven out of the ten runners having previously won at this venue. The betting suggests Andre Balding's lightly raced Smiling Stranger is the one to beat and won't lack fitness after 291 days off the track. He showed some promise in maidens last year, though was found out for class on his handicap debut. Gelded over the winter, he could be one with plenty of improvement to come, given a fair handicap mark. Personally I wouldn't like to be on him at 5/2 though. Despite all the positives there are also a couple of question marks and such a short price doesn't represent value in my eyes. Equally lightly raced Majeed didn't show any rustiness to land a Chelmsford Handicap in March coming off a 1½ year long break. The five year old had obvious problems in the past but looked big and strong at Chelmsford. He travelled off the pace and had plenty enough to do 2f out but really motored home in impressive style. Only 3lb up, with a very useful 5lb claimer in the saddle today, he looks a major player with further improvement likely to come off a potentially lenient mark. From the former course winners, Double Discount can't be ruled out. He's weighted to be competitive if he is back to his best. Jacob Cats won a CD Handicap in March and on that form must rate a danger. The Gay Cavalier loves it around Kempton and should be a big runner if he can bounce back from his last poor run. All-Weather specialist Troopingthecolour is rated below his last winning mark but has to find back some form. First time cheek-pieces may help him. All of these have plenty of questions to answer, though. Verdict: I like the favourite's profile. If Smiling Stranger is fit after the break, he could be hard to beat off a fair mark now as a gelding. But from a value perspective lightly raced Majeed makes more appeal. He's also on a very fair mark and has the assistance of a very good apprentice, which effectively sees him racing off 2lb lower than when winning at Chelmsford. I was really impressed with that performance and 9/2 looks a big price in this field. Majeed @ 9/2 Paddy Power

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' 4.00 Ling - Macs superstar - win at 20/1 bog betvictor Claimer First time I put this horse up was on his first run over hurdles during the first week of the new comp.......obviously he fell at the first Has the second highest OR in the field and can go well fresh.........he has some decent form in class 3 and 4 handicaps If he puts his best foot forward he should figure here but the doubt is that he might be turning into a bit of a rogue........apart from that first flight fall on hurdles debut he also refused to go in the stalls last time at a flat meeting No doubt that's why he's 20/1

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' 3.50 - Ayr - Gala Casino Star - 13/2 - Bet365 BOG Runs off bottom weight and same mark as last time out when a decent 2L second over this distance. Is a C&D winner although last win came back in 2012 off a mark of 79. 12lbs below that mark today and after a useful showing last time hopefully retains some ability despite getting on in years. Jordan Nason’s 5lb claim also useful.

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' 310 War: Ulan Bute 11/2 Hills/Coral Tight little handicap here and any of them could win on their day. I fancy the Venetia Williams runner Ulan Bute to get back to winning ways after a barren spell. he was once rated 122 over fences and won off 127 over hurdles in 2014 so todays mark of 109 looks well within his capabilities if we can find the key to him. Well this is only his second attempt at 3m and his first try at Bangor was pretty encouraging, he was in with a chance until a late blunder. He goes on the ground and won't mind if it rains unlike some of his rivals and still has scope over fences having only had 6 starts.

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' 2.40 warwick domaltine gets in off a lowered mark of 127, and although recent form needs improving upon, he does have the ability to take this, so just hoping the course, trip and ground bring out more like whats expected. the race should be run to suit, so worth the risk at a price. 1pt win 14/1 bet365 bog

Re: Weekly NAPS Comp ''Wed 20th May 2015'' Glenwood For Ever takes part in the 6:20 at Southwell. Last ran 8 days ago at Limerick, which was his first run for 111 days so should be more than prepped today. The trainer doesn't have a large amount of runners but has done quite well when bringing runners over and this one is bottom weight by quite a margin. Was available at 6/1 when I first posted this elsewhere on the forum and is now into 5/1 - betvictor
