  1. Racing Chat - Friday April 20th

205 Ayr Arthington 5/2 PP Been running well over hurdles all season and has won three times. Ran a cracker to finish second to a useful sort at Sandown two starts back and then was fired into the deep end at the Festival. He ran ok in the Conditional Jockeys race behind Blow By Blow but that was a much more competitive event than this. Has the Nicholls horse to beat according to the betting but he hasn't beat much in his two victories and i'd be more worried about Fin And Game.
  2. 250 Ripon Fortunate Vision 9/4 bet365 Staying away from Cheltenham and Newmarket! Fortunate Vision looks a cut above his rivals here on his latest form. He's been off a while but the yard are in decent nick and the young jockey takes a useful 7lbs off his back. If he goes on this ground I think he will prove too good for these.

  5. Used to do something similar ages ago and I see the ITV guys have a go each week in a slightly different way. The idea is that you have a theoretical £20 to take to the bookies, you can do whatever you want with it. Back just one horse, back 20 horses or do a yankee and a placepot, the choice is yours. Hopefully some of you will chip in now and again, it's just for fun, just stick all of the bets in one post so we can work out if you made a profit or not. Good luck, spend it wisely

  14. Ozzy Thomas EW 8/1 Hills Cracking card at Cheltenham tomorrow and some very competitive racing, its tough to be confident about anything really but I do think Ozzy Thomas is better than his current mark of 137 and looks a value bet at around 7/1-8/1. Richard Johnson is on board again as he was last time and the ground has come right for this 8yo who has avoided the winter going completely. He was 3rd at MR last time making loads of errors and amazingly was still i with a chance at the last. He should be spot on for that outing and if he can improve his jumping he should be good enough to get involved here.

  16. best live odds feeds?

Hi Stefan I don't think such a service exists in UK Racing. The prices of the horses are relayed from the track direct to the bookmakers via their representatives. The prices in the markets change almost instantly so I don't think their is an edge if thats what you are looking for? The Exchanges definitely lead the way in betting markets and watching the exchange prices can usually tell you what horse is about to shorten or lengthen. Maybe in the US or elsewhere it may be different?
