Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 1520 hexham 1pt win no through road 5/6 bet365 7 year old gelding is on a hatrick, and is favourite for this small field, just the 4 runners, and although he has been judged lucky in his last race,he was left clear,as long as he continues to jump well,he should win here,up 7lb for that win and has liam treadwell on board, he has been on him before when they finished 4th,and this jockey/trainer combo have a near 12% strike rate

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 M3.00 Buy Back Bob 1pt Win 6/1 Coral This one is unexposed and getting weight from the rest of the field. Ran a really decent race on its first start for Tim Vaughan on its last outing which was also its seasonal debut and should strip fitter here. The same jockey in on board and looks fairly well weighted especially if the horse has improved for the switch to its new trainer

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 Muss 3.30 - Baileys Concerto - win at 6/4 bog boylesports This horse is on a tremendous roll having won is last 4 and 6 of his last 7 Beat a bit of a hotpot at Aintree last time, pair 10 lengths clear. This is his trip and going and although he's coming out fairly he didn't appear to have a hard race a couple of weeks ago. He mixes chases and hurdles and appears to be a good jumper which should help here as the fences are pretty stiff His main two rivals here are much less assured at the fences even tho' they've both won 2 chases. Both of them are making their seasonal debuts Mitchells Way was beaten over 50L on both his last 2 seasonal debuts Robbie did win over this Cd on his seasonal debut last year but it was a 3 runner affair where they all jumped badly and he stayed on his feet. He is flat bred and doesn't look to be a natural chaser

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 2.10 fontwell roll the dice should go well if the expected rain comes and makes the ground testing. already has every chance on soft, but heavy ground would enhance his chances. gets in off a decent mark of 107 and the trip's fine, so with being in fair form I feel he should be more than capable of winning this race, even more so if the ground turns heavy. taking the price now as if it does become heavy, then the price could well tumble down. 1 point win 3/1 betvictor bog

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 Musselburgh 3.00 : Bellgrove @ 9/1 Ladbrokes e/w Thanks Bellgrove.....from Ian Semple yard it was a toss up this horse or Jim Goldie's runner Titus Bolt, Bellgrove a 6yo who's only had the ten runs with three of them here all Hurdle a Novice 2m 3rd place a Maiden 2m 4f 2nd place and a Handicap Hurdle 2m another 2nd place , Since that first Musselburgh place finish last November its had 6 runs from then with Dougie Costello in the saddle with only his last race at Kelso 2m 1/2 f when it finished out of the frame 4th , That Kelso run was good going although it say good for today's race its been pouring all day up here and I would expect it to be good to soft with it more on soft side which Bellgrove will handle ok as its won on that conditions and is also dropping back 2lbs to 119 with Dougie Costello in saddle

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 3.00 Musselburgh - Strongpoint E/W @ 10/1 Bet365 Buy Back Bob and Bellgrove have already been selected in this race but I'd like to throw another into the mix in the form of Strongpoint. Strongpoint seems to like it here and has won 3 races from 4 runs at the course, including a C&D win in January which looked a lot stronger than this (also had Titus Bolt well held behind). He disappointed lto but that run can be excused as he probably needed the run as he has never really shown that he can go well fresh so he should be fitter this time out. The ground won't be a problem as he doesn't seem ground dependant. This could potentially be a tough ask with an 8lb higher mark after his Perth win and off of top weight but he won well enough at Perth to suggest that there could be more to come and I fancy him to run well at what looks a good price.

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 Wolves 7.10 - Perennial (1pts win, 20/1 Bet365) Been a long way below his best this year and is somewhat a risk to be backing on current form but his mark has plummeted as a result down to a mark of 72 here in October last year he won here at Wolves off a mark of 82, He also has a good record over todays trip.

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 None of the Novice chase's take my fancy today so going to look at the longest race of the day.... 15.40 Fontwell - Class 5 Handicap Hurdle - 3m 3f - Current going Soft Fontwell is a tight left handed hurdles track with an easy finish. Julie Prince - Big step up in distance today with first attempt at any race over 2m 4f. Been off for a year and no evidence will stay the marathon trip over hurdles. American Life - Capable of staying the distance and has had a few placed finishes at around this distance off much higher handicap mark than today. Been poor in last 3 recent runs, but has put in good runs after poor performances, Flemi Two Toes - Another who will have no problems staying the distance and won in January this year over 3m on heavy ground. Last 3 runs have been poor and does not look as good as last winter when having 4 good races from November 2013 to January 2014 (Finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd and 1st). Bally Braes - Lightly raced and open to improvement with just 5 runs over hurdles. Latest attempt was at 3m when never able to challenge but was one paced and possibly could stay the distance. Off since April so would need to fit and has a 10lb claimer in the saddle. Amber Jam - Poor on the flat and just 3 hurdles runs to date finishing over 50 lengths behind on each occasion. Flat pedigree and unlikely to get the distance today. Expect to finish tailed off or be pulled up. Shine In Time - Yet to complete a hurdles over 2m 6.5f and pulled up last 3 starts. No evidence will stay the distance. According To Them - One chase win at 3m 2f at Plumpton and a Point to Point win at 3m in Ireland. Proved to stay the distance over fences but just 2 hurdles runs. Been poor in any races after a break and been off the track since April. Strange Bird - Won a handicap hurdle at Plumpton over 3m 1.5f in February but runs today off 14lb higher. One run since that win when tailed off here at Fontwell over todays distance. Likely to struggle again today of this high mark. American Life looks to have the best previous form with placed efforts off a much higher OR in better class of races. Runs today off OR 95 his lowest ever mark and has had a number of placed efforts in hurdles at 3m plus when rated between OR 102 to 110. Should be race fit and can take advantage of drop in handicap mark. American Life - Win @ 4\1 PP BOG

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 Hexham 12:50 - Where's Malachy WIN @ 16/1 Sky Bet Ran well over course and distance on debut when 5th @ 40/1 and was not unbacked when an 8/1 shot where he fell at Perth after that. I think 16/1 is a big price in such a race personally for a yard that does well in this sphere.

Re: Nap of the day 7th november 2014 1.40 Fontwell: Southway Star 9/4 PP/SJ Outsider of three in a very poor race but decent value nonetheless. Southway Star needs soft ground to show his best and gets it here unlike his last three starts. Not surprisingly he has ran below par and hence dropped down to a very nice mark indeed. The fav has been given a mark of 99 for finishing tailed off in a couple of novice chasers behind good horses and Carhue Princess is very hard to win with and hasn't done anything special over fences.
