Patanjali NAP 5/2 Bet365
The Eve Johnson Houghton team have been in fine form this last few weeks and this looks like another very good opportunity. Patanjali can be considered a touch unlucky last time out at Lingfield where she got into traffic problems and would have surely won on another day. She drops back a furlong and wears cheek pieces for the first time and that combination can be successful here.

Wolverhampton 5.45 Russian Ranger @ 16/1 Betfair e/w thanks

Russian Ranger....from Jonathan Portman yard I remember a Russian Rangers man he was called Andrei Kanchelskis who played 36 times for Russia although was born in old USSR in the Ukraine part now and won two titles for Glasgow Rangers , Man Utd and played for Everton,

Anyway back to the horse Russian Ranger the 4yo has ran 6 times on AW and been a winner once at 1m 1f here over 1m 1/2 length but that win was last November but never carried on AW circuit over the winter till he reappeared last month with two runs ,

He opened at Wolverhampton 1m 1/2f when 4th of 9 runners led till furlong pole but weakened inside final furlong beaten 3 lengths by Gabrial The Thug , He was brought out again 32 days ago at Chelmsford 1m and in class 5 but the drop from class 6 was to much as he finished 9th of 10 runners although chased leader till final furlong but no impression and lost 2nd losing place when squeezed out soon and soon weakened ,

Those two runs saw two less experience jockeys in saddle but they bring Luke Morris in who's plenty experience on AW plus he's down a 1lb to 62 mark and back to class 6 company

5.45 Wolves

YASIR @ 33/1 Bet 365

This one looks a bit overpriced to me, has done most of his running and winning over 1m 4f+ but on his last run over this kind of trip he was only beaten 1 3/4L in a class 5 off 4lb higher.  Has been claimer ridden on his last 3 starts but gets much stronger handling today.  This is his first run off a mark in the 50's since winning here over 1m 4f over a year ago but has won 4 times since off marks in the 60's.  Should run well at a big price.
