Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015 4:35 Wolverhampton Bute Hall was running credibly in some competitive Class 2 handicaps last season including at York when he was 4th behind Arab Spring who later went off evens favourite in a Group 2. He had Amralah (probably didn't quite run his race) a length behind him that day who went on to win a Group 3 and the form of the other races he competed have held up well. He ran a decent race on his reappearance considering he was blocked off coming into the straight when favourite but was a little disappointing in Class 2 company next time. Interestingly the shortest he's ever won over is an extended 1m 4f and he's 2 from 4 over 1m 6f so the step back up to this trip should be right in his favour. He's down to 78, 1lb above his last win which was over C&D and if first time cheek pieces and step back up in trip help him regain his form from last spring he should be right there. Bute Hall - 1pt Win @ 20/1 Bet365

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015 Southwell 3.10 - Royal Macnab (1pts win, 9/2 BetVictor) Comfortable winner at Musselburgh two runs ago and added that to his win at Wetherby when he dotted up by 15 lengths at the end of December his effort lto was also decent a 2nd placed finish at Catterick behind De Vous A Moi who has since gone on to win again so that form has been boosted. He has solid form over this trip and should be thereabouts.

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015 455 Southwell: Blue Talisman 3/1 SJ Sean Bowen is going hard for the Conditional Jockeys title and is not far behind Nico de Boinville. His dad puts him up here on one with a chance in a very weak race. Only a juvenile and had 4 starts over timber, showed a bit of promise on his first run but things haven't gone right since and has needed his 4 runs to get a mark. He kicks off in handicaps off just 95 after a 6th at Ffos Las on unsuitable ground. This is more his ground and can improve on that for sure over this longer trip.

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015 2.40 South Cruise in Style 1pt win 8/1 betvictor Yard in form having won with 2 of their last 3 , other was 2nd. This one not been competing as well over hurdles and returns to fences after a 6month break. is most consistent of the field over fences and has won off a higher mark so has a chance.

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015 3.10 Sou - Royal McNab - win at 7/2 bog wm hill handicap chase A couple of non runners have depleted the field a bit but the principal runners remain This looks ideal for my horse - good ground, two and a half miles, small field. He's a front runner who needs nursing a bit to get this trip as it appears to be the outside limit of his stamina. Hopefully the jockey will be able to take it easy out front. He's had a good winter, winning a couple and generaly looks to be improving as he will need to off a career high mark. Finished a fairly well beaten 2nd last time off this mark but the winner that day has won eaily again since and he might have just caught a tartar. Nomadic Storm has also been in good form but over th minimum trip and the jury is out as to whether he's as effective over this far......well beaten every time he's tried it but he wasn't in as good form then. It wasn't much of a race he won last time......soon became a 2 runner affair and he beat a horse making his chase debut The danger should be Worthy Award, the current favourite. He's making his chase debut and hasn't run for 154 days. In is 3 runs over hurdles he looked an out and out stayer and we might not see the best of him until he goes up to 3 miles. I've also got it in my mind that Jonjo's horse's usually come on for a run after a break.

Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Tuesday 24th March 2015 3.35 Hexham - 1pt win Lady of Verona @ 10/1 (PP) Has to shrug off some poor efforts but often her better efforts have come around Hexham and crucially this seems her time of year. Both career victories have come in March/April - both last year including over c&d. Has shaped with a modicum of promise recently but drops a little in grade here, edges down the weights and hopefully can show a bit more spark now the spring has arrived.
