  1. A very good morning to all. Here we go then, cue the roar and let the show begin. Being the extremely difficult meeting that Cheltenham is I am allowing myself sometimes if warranted three darts at some of the big field handicaps (had I been using a ratings system would be at least three). Even then you will still be unlikely to get the winner, given the lottery nature of some of the massive field races you will encounter at times this week. These are my plays today with brief comments: (Ultima Handicap Chase) Cheltenham 2.40 HENRYS FRIEND @ 12/1 MALINA GIRL @ 14/1 MYRETOWN @ 11/1 Have listed these in order of preference and will be playing reverse forecasts and tri-cast combos to boot too. The Changing Man was very close to making the list too but will hope at least one of these three goes well. (H & N Wines Juvenile Hurdle) Cheltenham 4.40 LIAM SWAGGER @ 12/1 SOLAR DRIVE e/w @ 50/1 (unibet) 5 places SLURRICANE e/w @ 33/1 (general) 5 places As above but would leave any combination forecast bets to anyone who fancies it as these are rather optimistic picks apart from the first one. Best of luck with your bets today everyone.

  3. Jeez , you're coming across as so anti-Sedgefield right now 😆 & don't forget the sand racing on later , bookies may have taken their 👀 off the ball with prices etc...

  4. An 11/1 winner with a 33/1 each way placed. Few quid banked. Nice start to the week, probably downhill from there.

  6. Thank you Lee. A relief ! Bit gutted not to get the forecast up with Malina Girl (knew The Changing Man would be there or thereabouts) but the winner was the important thing. Hope all my followers made some money, they deserve it if following. ENJOY THOSE WINNINGS.

  11. Indian Wells been a tricky few days. 13. No rules as such but... One lucky15 per day settled to 20p (either 20p win or 10p ew). (screenshots preferred) Cash out if you want Lee but for the comp your Original 4 will count. Preferably bets would be real and not just paper picks. Kudos and a big swede will be the only prize. The player coming last will be rightly subject to extreme derision from this and hopefully other quarters. Wind ups allowed. Sensitive sorts need not apply. Although there are no rules please abide by them. Good Luck everyone lets have a bit of fun. Don't forget to do the Daily Cheltenham competition for real money run by @MCLARKE

  17. Whilst I have some sympathy with your view you'd be more entitled to adopt the moral high ground if you'd read the rules in advance and queried it rather than venting after falling foul. Given the work involved in running the thing I think it's perfectly reasonable that the rules are whatever @MCLARKE says they are and it's a bit ungrateful to be stroppy about it. Being objective you could make a case for being able to post before the off time of the first race selected but then you could argue for the actual rule on the final day so no-one has the chance to play "wait and see" for tactical purposes. So, all in all, not unreasonable to have the chosen stipulation for all 4 days to keep things simple. At the end of the day it's not that onerous or complex a requirement and over 100 other contestants managed to comply with it so perhaps best to learn and move on (in a more punctual fashion) to tomorrow's attempt.

  18. I have everything ready. I am surrounded by my lucky items Horseshoe (from Cheltenham stables) Set of bails taken by Stuart Broad from Lord's Number 10 shirt worn by Lionel Messi Button (not functioning) pressed by Robert Oppenheimer Napoleon's hat worn at the Battle of Wagram Shakin' Steven's socks A lock of Clive James's hair A roll of sellotape that is irretrievably stuck to itself, after Gordon Ramsay went radio rental.

  22. I have done a bit of pondering and a few speed figs that i dont really do for jumps but anyway fastest horse in the 120 is 1 romeo coolio 2.. salvatore mundi (backed up by form). 2.00 fastest is the fav. i think the other races are difficult and warrant EW consideration to be honest.

  24. Thanks to @Johnrobertson and @HERE for putting me on to Golden Ace. I made 27.63 pts on singles and also a small profit of 2.30 on the L15 with one winner. Thanks to @WEIGHTWATCHER for that. YTD L15's -20.82, Other Multiples - 30.35 but singles in profit +19.55 = Total -31.62. Whilst idiots focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) which does not have enough horse racing experts input yet, I would rather focus on Human Intelligence (HI) for my bets. Can't wait to see tomorrow's picks 🙂👍

  25. BTTS in the three late matches is 6.00 at MGM and I've seen worse prices. The Inter match is deemed least likely to trot up, but as they're facing Dutch opposition I'm a lot happier with the idea that an Italian team can be breached as they attack so much. PSG need a goal and if they get one then Liverpool will need one to win and in the all German match even though the tie looks over, I can't see Bayern settling for a bore draw and then of course if Leverkusen are to mount an unlikely comeback they'll need to score more than once.

  36. Thanks MC , great work to keep this going for 12 months as well as all the other daily requirements. Feel a bit fortunate taking top prize but do fully understand the need for a minimum requirement , huge respect to Le Male for taking his break which was clearly planned and something pretty difficult to do for the majority of punters i'd guess , Lord Mulberry also unlucky but sure he'll be a threat every coming year , also feel JohnRobertson would have been a huge threat if not distracted by the most winners comp and the need to wrap that one up , he's a threat whether picking odds on or double digits selections and my 16/1 fav to win it next year. Finally a mention to both MICKYFTM32 ( 362 ) and Moneymaker 777 ( 361 ) for their posting consistency , a few of us surpassed the 350 mark but to hit those totals although out of the money is a monumental effort and what the competition deserves. Expecting to see the 113 entrants grow as the year progresses such is the attraction / benefits of an extremely well organized tipping competition. Happy New Year to all
