Undaunted by yesterday's three losers I'm having another look at the two year olds ....... once raced, showed promise, expected to improve on their second start. Unlike yesterday I've got 3  favourites

1.26 Ham - Coco Jack - 7/4 bet365 - ran on late at Windsor on debut to finish 5th, finished well, 4th has won next time

3.37 Redcar - Sparkling Red - 4/5 bet365 - finished 2nd on debut in a big field, winner won a Listed race next time

5.30 Chelm - Mascapone - 15/8 bet365 - finished 4th in the Brocklesby on debut, usually a good guide for early season 2yo

Using @TheBrigadierselections for a Trixie today as I have had little time for racing research owing to objecting to a housing plan application in my area.

2.36 Ham I'm A Gambler 7/2 (my PL Nap)

6.15 Leop Cadilac 3/1

6.35 Chelm Dubai Hope 3/1

1 x 4 pt win Trixie = poss return of 124 points

Other bets:

4.12 Red Dusky Prince 2 pts win at 7/2

4.45 Red Baryshnikov  1 pt win at 6.2 and Bollin Joan 1 pt 4TBP at 4.04 = poss ret 2.98 (got smashed up because of a non-runner) These bets are placed around @richard-westwood's ratings the assumption being that a hold up horse will pounce at Redcar and deny the front runners, haha

Total points = 8 today

Good luck to all who have had more time to study than myself

Looks a little harder today, but still some of interest.

4.20 Ham - Jordan Electrics - 10/1 EW - a tricky 6f handicap, but the selection (1 of 3 runners for the trainer in the race) is on a falling mark (5lb below its last winning mark). It has won over CD twice, and will surely be winning sooner rather than later. At the odds it looks a solid EW selection.

5.15 Red - Thunder Clap - 11/4 - A top rated selection, who should come on for his seasonal reappearance (drops back 2f). A rare Hughie Morrison runner (has a 500 mile round trip with 2 runners - the other is in the race earlier), and James Doyle rides.

5.45 Red - Photogragh - 8/1 EW - Another tricky handicap, but the selection has won at the course, and is 5lb lower than its last winning mark. It wears blinkers 1st time, and at the price , again looks a solid EW selection.

You were very unlucky with Jordan Electrics; I am having 2.5 pts on Thunderclap at 4.3 to cover today's expenses.  Good luck

445 red

Pride of America  8.4 7/1

Forest falcon  8.3  11/1

Bollin Joan    7.9  12/1

Barashnykov   7.8 13/2

These 4 seem clear of rest so I'll try 5pts ew top 2 and 24 x 10p tricasts

Forest falcon wins....25p rule 4 but should still be around +30.00 ....can't complain ...edit ...it was +36.00

6:00 Chelmsford

Reckon I'm Hot -  @ 8.00 - EW

8:10 Chelmsford

Baileys Accolade - @ 5.00 - win

Reckon I'm Hot - 2nd.  I'm glad I did that EW bet ?

Bailey's Accolade - 2nd. Should have done an EW bet here ?

Overall, I'm happy with getting a winning EW bet and a second place.  I'm trying a new system of selecting horses, so these results at least show I'm on the right track.

RESULTS UPDATE

Another tough day.  Luckily, courtesy of the Bet365 generous bet boost I at least made a small profit of 1.5 points.  MTD is +3.24 pts and YTD - 154.31

The derby meeting begins at Epsom tomorrow so let's hope I can find a few winners

Jordan Electrics beaten a NK. The other 2 never really at the races for me, although I may well track them for a couple of runs.
