Monthly Nap Comp - Saturday Nov 19th

2.00 Lingfield

The favourite might be worth taking on here he has struggled this year at a much higher level and was disappointing again in a similar event at Kempton. It could be suggested that he struggles to get the 7f trip aswell.

Ive tipped Alfred Hutchinson up the last twice so it might be I am following him over a cliff at present but he remains in good heart from a yard in form. He loves it around here and his form behind Lord Of The Land on penultimate start puts him bang into this. He also wont mind a tactical affair he likes to track the pace and he could also potentially make the running if necessary.

1pt win Alfred Hutchinson 4/1 BV

Haydock 14:25 Point The Way @ 14/1 e/w thanks

Point The Way....from Brian Ellison yard the 5yo has won three hurdle races and a NH flat race from 2m to 2m 5f on ground varying from good to soft to heavy with two of those wins on heavy going so he should relish conditions today ,

The yard sent him out on a prep race for his first run of season 23 days ago at Sedgefield 3m 3f Meldrum Construction Handicap Hurdle (good) he finished 3rd but stayed one pace from two out with Nathan Moscrop guiding him , The bring winning jockey Danny Cook on him back to ride today ,

Looks to be well worth a e/w chance as conditions may not suit a lot in race

2:40   Ascot     Yanworth  @2.00  Betvictor

If Alan King has a stellar day so will we. Amazed see evens 11\10 on exchanges for Yanworth yes Zarkander has 4 pounds over him but been off some considerable time. Bigger danger is Paul Hobbs Guard just failed win the Half on Gold Cup interesting Hobbs combining both codes. Yanworth is class act. But for the defeat behind Yorkhill when finishing second at the festival in the Neptune had an outstanding season.

5.45 Wolves. Coping Stone 1pt win @12/1 skybet

Seems a big price for a horse that returns to the course and distance of his 2nd on penultimate start behind a subsequent winner and ahead of a dual subsequent winner in 4th. Up in class last time he struggled but today is more realistic and can go well again.

2.25 Haydock - Western Cape @ 18/1 Betway

Yala Enki is a solid enough favourite in these conditions after being dropped a few pounds and seems to go well off a break. However the price looks about right now and I'm keen to take on the next few in the market. Two Taffs needs to step up, Westren Warrior seems to have stalled in his development and the ground is too testing for Caid Du Berlais. The one that sticks out is the lightly raced Western Cape, an 85k purchase with just 5 runs over hurdles. He was only beaten a neck on his reappearance and the winner of that has franked the form and looks the value with his progressive profile.

Asc 12.25 - Laval Noir - EW at 25/1 bog wm hill

Novice hurdle

Few fancied ones here with hurdling experience but I'm going for a newcomer

He won his only bumper in taking fashion back in March and seems well regarded

Won at Huntingdon so going RH should be fine and todays better ground is ecpected to suit better than the soft ground he faced on debut

Kim Bailey gets the odd winner after a break so he could be ready
