Weekly Naps Competition Day 3 - Tuesday 23rd June

B4.00 Noble Cause e/w 40/1 Betvictor This one is such a big price due to little form, but the visor goes on for the first time here, which combined with such a low handicap mark, a decent 7lb claimer and the trainers excellent record at the track means that the horse could surprise given these positive factors. The tricky course should also suit on breeding and if it's ever going to be competitive, then this mark today is the day to do it.

NA 6.00 - Bogoss du Perrett - win at 10/1 bog PP Maiden hurdle My horse made a promising debut over sticks last time, finishing 3rd That was the first time he had encountered decent ground having run all his bumpers on soft so hopefully today's ground is what he needs Was sticking on last time and the extra few furlongs should suit

7.40 Ballinrobe: E.B.F. Fillies Handicap (60-90), 1m 5f You can easily rule out half of the field and bring it down to four runners who are likely to be in the shake-up. That says two fillies do appear to be well handicapped after their latest wins: Majenta and Oceania Queen. Majenta won a very competitive Handicap at the Curragh despite encountering all sorts of in-running trouble. She took advantage of a career lowest mark and done it in really impressive style. Only 4lb up for this success, she may have still more to offer. Though her overall record is a slight concern if you want to dip into the short price. I feel Oceania Queen is a better bet. She is much further down the ratings and the weights but appears to be a late bloomer. She ran well on the All-Weather in recent weeks but switched back to turf really took to the better ground which seems key to her. She had a very troubled passage at Fairyhouse the last time but was not to be denied once out in the clear a furlong out. The handicapper has put her up by 10lb, which could still be lenient as she looks a filly very much on the upward open to any sort of improvement. With a 5lb claimer on the back, she is well in here in my mind. Only slight concern is the additional furlong. ? Oceania Queen @ 7/2 Paddy Power

Newton Abbot 8.00: Istheradifference 13/2 Skybet Interesting little handicap and with the ground on the firm side of good and i like the chances of Istheradifference. He wants it quick and this track should suit him better also. Has to prove the recent rise in weights is within his reach after a below par effort last time but was going the right way previous to that so i'm prepared to forgive one bad run.

4.45 beverley vecheka looks to have every chance of a well deserved win today, as todays trip looks sure to suit in my opinion and improvement can be seen. no ground worries and graham lee booked for micky hammond, so all looks in place for a big effort. 1pt win 9/2 skybet bog

Brighton 4:30 : Malih @ 11/2 Ladbrokes win thanks Malih.......from Eric Wheeler yard this is the horses 5 trainer and in the 26 runs he's had he's only found the frame six times with one win at Warwick 7f good to soft way back as a 3yo in his 3rd race on a racetrack in 2012 flat season , That win earned him a mark of 72 and from then on 5 trainer have not managed to get the best out of him but last race 14 days ago and running off a low mark of 50 it found a 2nd place beaten a nose at Lingfield 7.5f with Jim Crowley in saddle , The last time Jim Crowley was in the saddle since that 2nd place run was way back in 2011 his 2nd race on a racetrack and his next race after Jim rode it was that win so hopefully we have the same outcome
