This one possibly found the heavy a bit much lto when finishing 4th of 9 , btn 27L in a cl2 h/cap. Failed to justify the 9/4 favouritism but goes down a notch in class into a cl3 and best judged on penultimate run when winning over CD. Still remains on 125 , 12lbs above last win but capable of better and interesting yard have waited till the good ground came to send it back out. My selection hasn't run since last June when she ran in a couple of decent maidens at Sandown and Salisbury. Rated 142 when falling in the Grand National last season to be fair hasn't really being doing a lot since that experience. However last time he ran in a 3 runner hunter chase at Wetherby and finished well behind Palypso De Creek, who would destroy this field. Anyway that result doesnt tell half the story and the horse was in with every chance 3 out until the jockey became unbalanced and lost his chance. I reckon he would have been second at least without that mishap and now the man on top has been changed to Tommie O'Brien who has had a few rides and must improve his chances here. He was a decent 3rd last time out, there is a slight worry that his best runs seem to have been on soft or heavy ground (both wins coming on heavy and his effort last time was on soft), but a Venetia Williams trained horse in a staying h'cap chase always warrants respect and he does have the superior ATR LTO speed rating for the race.
