    AS Monaco - Borussia Dortmund

Curiously enough, Dortmund are favorites to win in 90 minutes despite the Ligue 1 side boasting a strong home record in Europe.
Monaco have won 21 of the 30 Champions League matches they have hosted, and of the sides in the history of the tournament who have hosted at least 30 games, only Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich boast a better home win percentage. Dortmund, for their part, have only won two of their last six away games in the competition, with their only clean sheet during that time coming at an extremely poor Legia Warsaw.

Monaco therefore look to be a little over priced, and this exciting, attacking team look good value to record another home win. However, instead of backing them outright for the win, i will take the price of 2.05 for the hosts to score over 1.5 goals.
Leonardo Jardim's men are the top scorers in Ligue 1 this season with 90 goals in 32 games, while at home they have netted 54 goals in 16 games. In the Champions League, meanwhile, they have scored at least two goals in their last three home matches.
Against a Dortmund side who do not look particularly solid defensively, Monaco look well placed to net at least twice.

Monaco to score more than 1.5 goals @ 2.05

Just Monaco for me. They are way too high. Dortmund have to attack and Monaco will destroy them on the break.
Papastathopoulos is a Greek tragedy and has no place in a Champions League semi final. The Germans have a defence with more holes than Monaco's.
Here's hoping to collect nicely on Monaco @ 2.9 and Monaco to qualify @ 2.5 (placed before the 1st leg)

I must say that I paid two bets before the start of the season to Juventus and Atletico win the Champions League. Both the odds were 15.
Obviously I hope both teams can qualify to the next round.
    As for tonight's matches..
    Juventus - Barcelona

With the Italian Champions in fine form and Barca less convincing on the road,i think backing the hosts in some way makes sense on this evening.
Juve's home record is one of the most impressive across the continent with the Old Lady unbeaten in their own stadium in any competition since August 2015.
Barcelona's recent away record does not inspire much confidence with their defeat at Malaga on Saturday the third in their last five matches in the road in all competitions.
I think that the best or "safest" bet is Juve [email protected] or even Juventus to be ahead on half time or full time @2.20

    Dortmund - Monaco

Having won three and lost none of their four matches in their own back yard so far in the competition, Die Schwarzgelben are  favourites  to take control of the tie by coming out on top once again.Meanwhile, Leonardo Jardim’s men have lost both of their last two European matches on the road but are on offer at  to put one foot in the final four with a victory in Germany.
Having been forced to overturn first-leg deficits in order to see off Benfica and Manchester City in their respective last 16 ties, both of these sides will know the importance of strong home performances in European competition.
Unbeaten in 19 matches in front of their own fans this campaign, Thomas Tuchel’s men will feel confident of giving themselves a lead to protect for the trip to Stade Louis II considering their guests have lost five and won just three of their last nine European away games.
Odds of 2.75 seem too good to pass up on Monaco finding the net but ending up on the losing side against a Dortmund team that has scored 25 goals in eight Champions League games but conceded seven and kept just one clean sheet in the last four.

Kecman probably took advantage of playing in conditions that suit him. He resides in Florida,he's almost constantly there, living and training. Nevertheless - quite a surprising result for me as well.

Hi guys, first of all, glad to see french teams succeed in european cups after the joke in Barcelone. Great hopes for both Lyon and Monaco.
PSG vs Lyon Over and BTS
On fire ! This is for Lyon obviously. So to my mind, it will be an open match with goals, Stake is great for both teams.
TFC vs Rennes Under and draw
Boring end of season for htis teams ? Sure for me. With two specialists of draw and two teams not in a great mood, result is predictable.
    Bordeaux vs MHSC Home Win
MHSC is quite safe, Bordeaux playes for Europa League. Motivation will be different and after losing at home against a convincing team of Nantes, MHSC may be in doubt. Bordeaux at home is able to do something as their last result show.
Caen vs Monaco Over, away win
Monaco will be champion for me, President said this year "this is our main goal". The best european attack will destroy Caen.
Too late but I'm pretty sure that Nantes will beat Nice this afternoon. Too much missing players for Nice and not efficient away from home. Nantes is angry ! Come On !

For tonight,i can't see Cuevas threatening Goffin too much.Except winning Sao Paulo,Cuevas has done next to nothing this year and i am far from impressed by his run in Indian Wells as well.He needed 2 tiebreaks against Klizan who is kind of a mess these days while his win against Fognini was a total fluke.Fognini just didn't seem to care and his 1st serve was awful, basically nothing was working how its supposed to for the Italian.Well.on the other hand we have Goffin who is the man on form, gaining some good wins under his belt-big server like Khachanov and versatile player like Vinolas.Although he is yet to win an ATP title this year,he has already made his way to two finals and i must say that both of those defeats were against players on beast mode like Dimitrov and Tsonga so the Belgian had no chance(even though he could've won in Sofia if it wasn't the home crowd)Anyway,Goffin';s solid, solid baseline will give him calmness while Cuevas can't rely too much on his finishing nowadays.I was wondering which option is better between -3.5 games handicap and set handicap and i chose the 2nd one.Goffin to win 2:0 @ 1.80 with bet365.

Wanted to write a longer post at some point, so here we go, feel free to skip if you care about tips only .
We're somewhere at the end of the first quarter of the season/start of the second one and I think it's been a fairly tough going for most punters really. Certainly not all, as we're seeing on this forum, and I myself am sitting somewhere in a very tiny plus at the moment, which is probably good given the big pre-AO slump, but also bad given that I had a tremendous run a few weeks a go.
Anyway, what I think is that we're now really going through some sort of a transition period, with many of the big names slowly falling away. Djokovic isn't a beast anymore, Nadal is beatable even by the likes of Querrey, Berdych and Isner have dipped big time, etc. Meanwhile, the new big names like Thiem, Zverev, etc. are yet to become very consistent. This is exciting on one hand, but it also muddies the waters big time in terms of betting, so one has to adapt somewhat. I'm certainly going to hunt for more value in the long shots department from now one if the opportunities arise, perhaps more Challengers as well. I wish there was some sort of a silver bullet, but there isn't - more research and more tough work awaits everyone who wants to bet on tennis now I'm afraid.
The one thing, for example, that I have strong feelings about now is that short-odds accumulators aren't viable in the current climate. When you have guys like Cilic and Berdych losing from massive leads nearly every single day, it's not "investing" (as some are calling short-odds betting), but walking through a minefield. In fact, perhaps the opposite could be a much better approach, throwing two underdogs together for nice returns, although that's obviously nothing for the faint of heart.
Am I just rambling or does anyone else have similar thoughts about the current tennis "climate"? Who do you think the next strong-but-not-best layer could be - I'm talking the next Berdychs/Isners/Tsongas? Personally, I'm thinking Pouille, Kyrgios, Nishioka, Goffin, Sock, with Zverev and Thiem perhaps rising above them.

Dude... don't be angry... We're here to trade infos, personal opinions about a club, a game, the goal is to argue... and therefore I gave a long opinion on why to back PSG.. You're not forced to follow me, please, at least be polite and respectful with the opinion of others... Even if sometimes, they're lacking of objectivity, if you kept an eye on my betting record, you know i'm no blind.....
As I know that i'm surely the only one on the forum to have seen every match of PSG this year, (and since childhood), i can gave pretty good feedbacks IMO, trying to be as objective as i can...
"Keep hating" wtf? hate? where? Have i missed something?
"tossing a title won by a club out the window for being un "deserved" lmao"  > Lots of people said Real didn't deserved at least one of the titles, that they had an easy way to the final... I'm not original here, not inventing anything, just stating my opinion shared by a few people... So, stop there bro... Share the love instead!
"Naples will bow down to the Kings of Europe" > Yes sure... They'll bow, as everyone of us should do i suppose.. lmao... ;-) No arm bro..

I watched the first match. Benfica was completely outplayed. They only had one shot on target, from which they've scored. A pretty much lucky goal,if you ask me.
On the other hand - Borussia was excellent, completely dominated the game. Benfiika's goalkeeper has done some wonder saves and Dortmund even missed a penalty.
I have no dilemma here. I think that Borussia will win for sure.

Im still looking at taking Dortmund ah -1. Kicking myself as I talked myself out of the same bet v Leverkusen at the weekend.
I watched the 1st match and agree totally that Dortmund dominated this match and should have scored at least 1 or 2 goals and the (h) side were lucky to come away with a win. And I had a DnB on Benfica that night so analysed their performance closely.
Dortmund are a level above and even if Benfica score one I can see Borussia taking 3 of them. The Portuguese will definitely try and park the bus but on this stage in the Champions League Dortmund have players who will show up imo.

Someone could interpret that as racist... I, however, have repeatedly been let down by France in the Six Nations betting so feel this is very true! I am still backing Barcelona to win the second leg but I'm not sure they can overturn that deficit. Barcelona under Pep possibly but not Barcelona under Enrique.

It's ok @StevieDay1983. It depends on character of person if you can get along or not. I said many times, that i have nothing against Real, I am objective about Barca as much as possible (I said that in my opinion Barca shouldn't win the penalty against Leganes even if many people thinks otherwise), and anyway all who read my posts on this forum knows that. I even think that I said more "bad" words about Barcelona than Real Madrid. But well, I am not Catalan, I am not living in Barcelona and I don't feel the anger against Madrid as Catalans (also because of history). Besides Zidane was one of my favourite players and I was always big fan of France (I was cheering for Real Madrid in CL finals against Leverkusen because of him ). I like to have discussion about football, to exchange opinions, even to learn something new,...
