Definitely backing Liverpool for a win. Thinking of placing a bet on Asian handicap but still having doubts. For now it's a simple 1x2 bet for a Liverpool win.
On the other hand, it's a City win for me. Correct score of 0-1.

But definitely back now. Made some bets on a lot of Premier League matches but I made some huge risks.
A lot of you will argue with me on this one but after their Champions League exit, I think the Citizens will be out to prove themselves. I'm backing a Man City win with correct score 2-1 against Liverpool.

The top five teams all won their matches last weekend so there was a lot of consistency. Serie A is becoming more popular with you guys. What are we thinking this week? It could be wins for the top five all round again with these fixtures.

A packed week of action in La Liga with a game on Wednesday next week between Valencia and Real Madrid extending the fixtures for a couple of days. So rather than create a single game thread for that midweek fixture I've thrown it into this batch.
It was a consistent week for La Liga last weekend. The teams that now occupy the top eight league positions all went unbeaten. Eibar made it three wins on the bounce to reach an incredible 7th position. Everyone else in La Liga is struggling to find form with only Sporting Gijon winning last weekend and only Real Betis outside the top 7 not suffering a defeat in their last two league games. No wonder punters are wary of La Liga!
@Icongene, you tipped Eibar to get the win. It was a low price but still a positive one. What is catching your eye this weekend?

@sajtion, Valencia stopped the rot. Reckon they will get a first win in three games this week? They have two opportunities but both tough games despite both being at home.

It was a long round of games last week with mixed results for us all. It's a low key fixture list this time around with Lazio versus AC Milan probably the stand-out fixture. The shocks last week were Lazio's 6-2 win away to Pescara and Napoli's even more stunning 7-1 away win against Bologna. It will be interesting to see how all four of those sides react to those results this week, particularly Bologna who lost 1-0 at home to AC Milan a few days later against 9 men. Oh dear.
@WinningAdvice, the Juventus versus Inter Milan game let you down. I also hope you didn't back Fiorentina. Shocking performance from them. Fancy getting back on the horse this weekend?

That's a shame, @WinningAdvice. It's tough to cover the odds because the bookies only get them up a brief time before the games happen over here. So I'd just advise everyone to post up their thoughts when they are looking at a bet. I will try to get as many odds for upcoming games up as possible.

strange to see nice with two goalless draws previously. is that maybe a hint they are turning defensively tactically in second half of the season. i am not sure but bastia will have enough motivation going into this match. they are sitting just outside of relegation so i think they will score in my opinion at least one goal but it depends how nice respond. it's not a game i want to get involved but bastia to score and not lose has a decent chance of happening if your brave

I'm tempted by a score draw for that. It's got all the hallmarks of a match-up that will stun punters. I've seen a lot of bets for Spurs but I can see City scraping a draw. I have down-played Spurs at my own expense on more than one occasion though so there is still a part of me thinking they can win. I just think it's looking like Guardiola is short on ideas. It will be interesting to see what impact Gabriel Jesus has. Will he be an Aguero or will he be a Robinho?!

Been a happy camper on my 1-1 draw win but this time I'm still undecided on how I'll call the City vs Spurs clash this week.

This is the Football League and SPL thread mate.

Betting is a long term game. You can't win all the time. Understand the concept of value.
Then know all the horse racing basics such as ground, distance, race type and understand how they effect different horses. A lot of my betting is based on trainer angles. Know what trainers improve horses going chasing, what trainers do well in handicaps and so on. You can do the same with jockeys.
There are some great podcasts on betting such as the Final Furlong Podcast with talk on horse racing and how to bet too. Read columns by Tony Calvin, Paul Kealy, Simon Rowlands, Kevin Blake, Tony Keenan and Rory Delargy as those guys know their stuff and you can learn a lot from them.
And of course there are plenty of good judges on here too so don't be afraid to ask questions. 

Moving on, I still think Mainz match should be over goals, BTTS may be also a good option here too.

Also, Freiburg usually do not have a clean sheet in their away matches.
