  1. Good afternoon all. Couldn't see thread for today so this is just to wish you all a very Happy New Year for later and enjoy however you are choosing to see the new year in. No good value about on UK jumps racing today (at least not to me) so will play a following small trixie: Uttoxeter 1.00 FRESH SPECULATION @ 5/2 (general) Punchestown 1.05 NOBLE TALENT @ 4/1 (general) Punchestown 2.35 THE NAGGER REIDY @ 3/1 (general) Best of luck to everyone who plays today.

  2. Well done to @tonythepaint the only one in profit which shows you only need a decent double to make money. a shout out to @Carole-dawney who was very consistent, @yossa6133 the only one with a treble all be it a small one. FYI all my selections were No3's on the racecard, where possible between 10/1 and 33/1 (No 1,2 and 4 all did better 😟) and that was an expensive way to measure other peoples selection processes against, you all beat it so well done. Hope you all enjoyed the challenge it was at least interesting if nothing else. 😂 I will further scrutinise the tables to see if there is any worth while data in there. If @harry_rag wants to have a shuftie i will send him the spreadsheet.

  6. And today's card looks like this! Kenin ML +120 Kenin Tauson 1st Set Over 9.5 Games at -108 & Over 2.5 Sets at +145 Marino Pera Over 2.5 Sets +145 Yuan +3.5 games vs Kostyuk -110 Frech -2 games vs Lamens -110 Kenin and Tauson are going to a first-set tie-break, and that Over 10.5 games prop is listed at 3.75 (+275)! I might have to put a little action on that with that value screaming at me! We know they both tend to flop hard, so let's just hope they wait until the third set for one of them to fold like a lawn chair lol Marino and Pera are both playing well enough to win a set, which means—for the first time here, I get to say—we're Going The Distance! Yuan might just beat Kostyuk outright but a few games in my pocket is fine with me and Magda should be just fine getting past Suzan.

  12. I got banned at Covers for telling people how to find me away from their site, and they got all upset about it lol I won't be promoting or doing anything here but giving out bets for people who want them, so don't think I am here to get anything from anyone either. If you look for the ID Rainmaking at Covers, you will see my 18 - 5 - 1 WTA record, with 11 +140 bets included in the mix... You can't make that shit up! The last link you see in my profile is 'a double trio of WTA Bets for Feb 1' this year.' I hit 4 +140 bets in one day!! Because I CAN!!

So we're into the quarters from tomorrow, going to be very interesting. Littler was a bit up and down last night but brilliant at times, dug deep to beat Joyce. He'll likely have to do the sane vs Aspinall. I just wonder how many times he can go to the well before it runs dry. 🤔 At this point I'm 50/50 on whether Littler will go all the way.

    French Racing ???

Top of the morning all. Last day of the year then so why not have a little dip at some french fun today with an actually fairly decent meeting at Pau. These are my two selections on an interesting card: Pau 12.40 VAMOS A LA PLAYA e/w @ 11/1 (B365) 3 places Pau 3.07 KERMILLIS e/w @ 12/1 (B365) (cheeky straight f/csts with Katovice & Kool Des Ongrais) 3 places Small stake each way double on both. Ground may be a bit too soft for Vamos A La Playa but into 11/1 from 16/1 last night so might be worth chancing our arm there. Review for UK action a bit later. UPDATE Vamos A La Playa a non runner (fell at practice fence!). You will get your money back.

  23. I said plus-money! So, it's time to do that and we have a little over an hour to get the action in... Parks vs Anisimova 1st-set Over 9.5 games at 2.20 ~ 3U Parks finished the 2024 campaign with 8 wins in her last 9 outings, including the title run at Angers. That should instill confidence in this American showdown in New Zealand. Anisimova had a decent 21 - 13 record in the comeback season last year but I still need to see her be able to take over a match and we all know that Alycia can hit a fucking tennis ball!! Let it be 6 - 4 going to the second frame and may we all have cashed tickets at the end of the first set!

  24. I am already sold man. You could lose 30 bets in a row, and I would still think respect your tennis and betting acumen. If you post bets in bold like you been doing.. For me that is enough, but probably Czech Punter would like you to do a little bit of analysis occasionally on at least a few of your picks.. Speaking on his behalf lol.. But, I don't think he will hate you for sure.. He's a reasonable level headed guy. Sometimes things get out of hand with our own ego's.. I've been guilty of it many times. I think keeping things chill and mellow here is the way to go though for sure.. I'm looking forward to your next set of tips. Update: For those who ready my opinions regarding the Ostapenko match.. Yes I do think there is some value, and she will probably win despite me not backing her. I have decided the match is too risky, and reviewed Bouzkova last match. I liked what I saw from her, and passing the bet. I will write my betting tip in bold when I've placed a bet per the standard regarding matches discussed here.

  25. Oh my friend… I have been covering women’s tennis since 1974 and have been writing and betting on the WTA for 25 years. I write all the wta betting articles at bettingexpert and have covered everyone you can name so you mention Gao and her rise… First issue…? 27!! I am sorry but this is a player’s prime and she is still a low-level player playing in challengers and ITF bullshit. Yay!!??!! Second problem is that she still wants to play doubles and she should concentrate on her own fucking career at this point since she has what? 5 years at best to be competing? Third, we have the significant wins factor… FIND ME ONE!?!?! Danilovic? pfft please. Pigossi? Oh fucking stop talking about that Brazilian flop artist before I smack ya in the mush! LOL Jury is still in deliberations for me on Gao!!

  27. If my figures are correct 83 selections 12 winners +8 pts @ 1pt LS Pretty pleased with that actually, there were probably 10 or so selections that were 'fillers' , usually short priced selections to make up the numbers, non of which won I believe. Anyway, happy new year and let's strive to do better.

  28. YEAR-END RESULTS AND NEW YEAR There was just one winner today, which returned 1.50 points from a total stake of 3.00 points, so there was a loss of 1.50 on the day. My total L15 balance for the year was – 139.47. My total loss for the year, including L15s and an Accas balance of -16.67, was -210.82. While I appreciate that the idea was to make a profit, I think I have achieved value for money because this has cost me just £4.05 per week for months of daily entertainment. I don’t feel guilty about putting up too many Lucky 15 bets this year. If one takes the time to study all the races, I can see no reason not to include the selections in various Lucky 15 bet combinations. A big mistake was to include two from each race a lot of the time. It seemed reasonable because competitive races always have more than one serious contender. However, it at least halves the chance of having multiple chances of success, so I have knocked this on the head. I love making these bets, so I will continue to do so in the new year. They are a great way to back several horses each day with a small outlay and the possibility of a good return should three or four selections win. The problem for me is that I did not get many decent returns. Hence, I have work to do. I was glad to dump the singles bets earlier in the year. These have contributed almost 55 points toward my total loss for the year. I was doing something very wrong with my selections. However, I now feel I can return to singles bets with some purpose. Using the horse’s ability with its trainer’s expertise and less so the Jockey booking, I will be looking to find up to three selections on the days I do racing. I am not going to commit to three selections or even one if I can’t find what looks to be a horse with a good chance of winning at a price that looks to be of value. I have been experimenting with outsider selections in the Nap comp for the past two months with limited success. I now wish to go back to my more traditional method of selecting a “player” i.e. a horse with odds up to 9/1 for this. The single bet method described above may help in this regard. I will most likely skip backing the Accas. I don’t think I will have enough time to try and find five favourite selections for this. I will keep records of my stakes and returns so that the ROI can clearly be shown. Finally, my wife died in March of this year after struggling with four months of complications. I have decided that I now wish to do something else besides horse racing. I don’t want to give it up as it has been a hobby of mine since childhood. I will split my time between horse racing and writing songs in the New Year. This means there will often be days when I don’t post. I will always try to bet on Saturdays as I feel this is where the more significant opportunities lie in finding winning bets. May I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

  30. The ratings look pretty even but Frech has been playing at a much higher level. So for example, Lamens played 3 matches at Hong Kong but it is a 125 tournament. Frech has some good wins beating Shnaider, Navaro and Haddad Maia. As per the stats from tennisabstract (54 week rolling stats), holding serve very similar, but Lamens is substaintially better in breaking serve (44% versus 32.5% so around 30% better) as well as winning point against the 1st serve (41.7% v 33.8%). BUT, you do have to take in to account the fact that she is player lesser opponents. If I was betting this, I want to see if these stats translate, and would be going for a possible in match bet. If it goes to a 1st set tie breakerI would be against Frech taking it, Frech Lamens

  31. Hi All, Have not posted here for a while. Was looking at the Dzumhur Damir v Vit Kopriva match in the Canberra 2 challenger. Dzumer very slight fav (on betway), but he has had an incredible bad run of results. He lost 9 hard court matches in a row between Feb and Nov in 2024. Kopriva to win here. Brisbane WTA I like Potapova to beat Yastremska. Yastremska on a bad run of hard court form, losing 9 of her last 10 hard court matches. Completely hit or miss for me, very similar to the now departed Camila Giorgi. Stearns to repeat the result of the US open and beat Kasatkina again. Stearns definitely an up and comer who I think is going to have an excellent season. Only 23 and with plenty of talent and an upward trajectory. Elia Avanesyan to beat Ons Jabeur. I think Avanesyan is also due for an excellent year. Sure, serve has to get better, but her return game is excellent. She has already played two 3 set matches and has won the 3rd set 6-2 in both matches. So her fitness is good. I expect this match to go 3 sets. Avanesyan an excellent athlete, but also very good at solving the opponent puzzle in match. A big indicator would be ... when did the player make the trip down under? Some take their holiday in Aus, and then have a jet free work up/fitness boost as they prepare for the oncoming tour. Others show up at the latest possible moment. Of the above players I don't know who arrived when.

Just watching that rubbish makes me nervous even if I not involved in that particular match. Will be surprised if Kyrgios wins more than 3 games in this final set.

  42. I am perfectly happy to watch you make us all money @The Rainmaker. Some people have big personalities, and they can easily come off very brash to other people. I am more of a humble type because of some life experiences that steered me that way. The main issue for me is I have gotten into similar conversations with Tinytim. He doesn't contribute any tennis analysis whatsoever, and wants to voice his opinions and philosophies about betting odds, and nobody placing profitable information on the forum. I think it's pretty clear that most of the tennis punters here have at least fairly solid footing on how to they want to approach their bets and which odds they like. Everyone has different styles or strategies that work for them. This is a tennis forum for discussing tennis bets, and providing information regarding the matches. So my suggestion would be not fall to far down the rabbit hole with Tinytim, and let's make it rain all year and every year from this point forward.. I will do my best to help put some info's out there when I feel good about something. And, for Tim please let's just discuss the tennis matches. 🍀

See what I mean? Cincy choked their brains out but they’re favored for a reason because they’re the better team… Hmm Hmm, didn’t think I’d get to set that example with my first side bet here lolol Thinkdog for a reason that the linesetters know how to fcuk with people setting favs up that didn’t even win outright. I’ll be posting more totals than anything, but it’s +points or death as far as I am concerned. Sorry for the shit call on Favored Cincy!!!
