A Cheltenham entry is in the book so connections are aiming high here. But with no bumper prep I'll readily take her on here as this group horse and confirmed mudlark is odds on. An absolute stayer this group winning horse is an exciting recruit but is also a summer horse. Willie's Mullins own runner here has been turned over five times but at least has experience but at a big price the back in form Gordon Elliott's Jumping Jet has a decent chance here. Gordon has been way off the mark formwise lately but a win in the middle east on Friday has sparked a revival and the winners have resumed back at home. I'm no expert obviously but the modus operandi is clear, a wide margin bumper winner followed by two reasonable unspectacular maiden hurdle thirds is the schooling I look for in any runner and at double figure odds represents some value here. Punchestown 1.57 Jumping Jet Each way. 12/1 or better * I've done a little more digging and the trainer has tweeted that Princess Zoe has schooled well at the Curragh and come back sound and is "95% fit". He sounds reluctant to go hurdling but that is the plan . If She jumps well she'd demolish the field and win by a clear margin. It's just the lack of experience. So with the quality in mind I've gone for a winning distance bet as well. Won easily at the Cheltenham Hunter Chase night and Darran wrote that the trainer thinks she's better than 140 rated Top Wood. Runs off 111 today and should be better for reappearance run over an inadequate trip at Exeter. Surprised she's outsider of the field today and interested to hear Darran's thoughts! Two wins in France on turf in impressive style for m. Barzelona and not disgraced in listed company. But a tonne of weight here. Steps up to a mile here and wins were sprints but was well clear. Weight and all weather the issue here. WADACRE GRACE could change the habit of a lifetime and win here but has had five consecutive seconds. maybe today is the day but will have to wait and see......
