Maxed Out King NAP 13/8 Betfair
Sue Smiths 9yo improved dramatically once switched to fences and won two races in quick succession at Newcastle and here at Sedgefield. Folded a bit tamely last time out when challenged and maybe that race was one too many. Now back from a break, on better ground and up in trip I reckon he can get back to winning ways.

2.00 Beverley: Novice Stakes, 5 furlongs

Mark Johnston's Kodiac colt Go Now Go Now looks an overpriced individual in this race. The colt was very green on his debut last week at Ayr where was sluggish at the start while then very keen during the race and disorganised when it mattered most.

However under a clearly educational ride he finished the race nicely and responded quite well to a tender flick with the whip.

He ended fourth in what appears to be a half-decent maiden against more experienced rivals and should have learned plenty. He's entitled to improve from that run, particularly for the switch to Beverley where his sire Kodiac enjoys a very good success rate.

7:10 Chepstow Wink Oliver @ 9/1 PP e/w thanks

Wink Oliver....from Jo Hughes yard the 5yo has seen for other trainers in his short career so far , Jo got the horse in November last year where she's kept him in training over the winter AW where she gave him 12 runs and found two wins and three place finishes ,

She turned to turf 13 days ago for the first run on turf for new yard and put up a good show at Brighton 1m when he finished 3rd beaten 4 lengths, he was in race and made move at 2 furlong pole but inside the furlong pole he had no extra , The yard bring him back to 6f which is bring him back to his early days when he found two 2nd place finish over todays distance , There also having cheek pieces and hood on which has made a difference to him in last six race with J F Egan in saddle
