Monthly Nap Competition - Wed 14th Dec 2016

1.20 Lingfield

This race doesn’t have a lot of depth and looks quite an easy task for Alfredo to quickly get back to winning ways. He won a bumper on his first start before going the wrong way after that until making handicap debut around here over CD, followed that up off revised mark of 59 at Wolves in emphatic style by 12lengths. Handicapper took no chances after that but was a good second in much better race at Newmarket last time out off 72, 1lb higher today but still looks hugely progressive with more to come especially back on the AW.

1pt win Alfredo 6/4 bet365

1.10 Musselburgh : Shantou Tiger @ 11/2 bet365 win thanks

Shantou Tiger.....from Donald McCain yard the 7yo lost out 42 days ago here over this distance but has a chance to go one better today as last time he gave Rev Up Ruby weight this time although both are off the same mark 116 James Cowley is still getting the 3lb allowance and is 5lb better off, where as Rev Up Ruby does not have a claimer as Grant Cockburn takes the ride,

Shantou Tiger has won four hurdle races from 2m 6f to 3m on good and good to soft ground , Conditions are good and its not rained up here for a couple of days, with yard in good form right now and should find frame again

Newb 12.55 - Golden Birthday - ew at 12/1 bog betvictor

Maiden hurdle

Few inexperienced types here and some from the Flat who are yet to prove they are cut out for the winter game

My selection had 4 runs in bumpers, won one, placed in the other 3 and he's finished 2nd on his hurdles debut last time. That was a horrible day in driving rain and he wandered a bit when in front. Calmer conditions today

I have noticed that all his runs to date have been on RH tracks ...........hopefully that is just coincidence rather than the trainer thinking he's better that way round
