Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 4.00 Pontefract - Sennockian Star 1pt win @ 8/1 BetVictor By process of elimination I have come down on this one who I feel should run well here despite being drawn in 11. This horse ran well in this race last year on unsuitable soft ground so I am hopeful the ground will continue to dry out. He comes here fit from racing in Dubai and the Mark Johnston horses are running well. He is a few pounds below his highest winning mark from last year and should run well with Fanning on board.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 3.30 Pontefract Riptide has a good record in similar event around here however hasn’t been seen for a while and record fresh isn’t great. Madam Lillibet won over CD when last seen on flat by 10 lengthsin October. Been kept busy over hurdles and has been in fair form however was in no sort of form last time out when pulled up a worry aswell as a 10lb rise. Ginger Fizz is proving hard to win with and despite running well on 3 starts on the AW this demands a lot more. Surprise Vendor won this race last year and has been kept ticking over over hurdles this winter but needs more to be winning again this year. Harveys Hope looks the one to have a chance, 2nd over similar trip around here in summer of 2013. Softer surface doesn’t look to be a problem and comes here fit from a couple good efforts over hurdles. Claimer also takes off a handy 5lb. 1pt win Harveys Hope 8/1 bet365

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 Fairyhouse 4.25 - Vedettariat (e/w, 11/1 BetVictor) Winner of his last two outings most recently at Navan when beating Fine Article but has to concede weight to that rival today but he was very impressive when winning a maiden hurdle at Clonmel the race before last. Don't think the 3 miles will be a problem and neither will the soft ground, has a few less questions to answer then many of these and looks a genuine each way player.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 3.30 Pontefract - 1pt win Harvey's Hope @ 8/1 (Hills) Was a runner up over this course and distance back in 2013 off the same mark as today. Has slowly but surely worked himself back into form after a layoff with his last two efforts over hurdles reading pretty well. Returns to the flat under conditions that suit and with Joe Doyle taking 5lbs off he should run well.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 3.40 Ling - Rennie Mackintosh - win at 10/1 bog bet365 6f handicap for 3yo Only 5 runners here and 3 of them making their seasonal debuts and one of the other two , current favourite Hills and Dales being a disappointing type, I'm taking a chance on the outsider of the field From the Johnston yard he won on seasonal/handicap debut in February. Was put up 10lbs for that and then the trainer ran him in a Classified Stakes. That's not really a good sign as it suggests he thought the revised mark was too much for him to run in a handicap. He did however run quite well in that race to finish 3rd Also get the 3lb claimer on today to reduce the weight a bit Hoping his race fitness will tell..........certainly think he's too big a price and I'd be surprised if he finished in the position that his odds suggest he should, ie last.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 17.10 ling Dukes den @ 9/1 ladbrokes lowgrade handicap but the selection should go close. Went off fav a few runs ago over cd and with Richard Hughes up for the 1st time I fancy him to win this at a generous 9/1.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 4:55 Fairyhouse : Sizing Codelco @ 12/1 bet365 e/w thanks Sizing Codelco....from Henry De Bromhead yard the 6yo has only won once in the 8 NH races its had so far, that win came last year in January here in a maiden hurdle 2m soft to heavy in only its 2nd race on a racetrack, Although another 3 place finishes out of 5 races last year but its best run since winning came in its last race 79 days ago Navan Follow Navan On Facebook Rated Hurdle over 2m soft when a mistake 4 out cost it when leading it started to be one pace and when headed under pressure from last and soon no impression on winner and finished 2nd beaten by 6 lengths by Zabana with Alderwood 3rd who finished 5th in Irish Grand National yesterday, Henry De Bromhead goes with Cheekpieces for the first time on Sizing Codelco with J J Burke in saddle who's shared the riding with A E Lynch,"

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 Pontefract 3:00 - Buccaneers Vault WIN @ 12/1 William Hill Showed plenty of ability when winning at Redcar on debut and had some encouraging 2nd and 3rd place finishes since. Was down the field at the Curragh is a really hot race in September and then ran in Listed company, so this is much easier and he has won fresh.

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 5.00 Pontefract - FAZZA @ 16/1 Edwin Tuer, his trainer, has an excellent 22% strike rate in handicaps at Pontefract, producing a decent level stakes profit and he runs Fazza this afternoon. Fazza himself, has 2 wins and 2 thirds from 7 runs at Ponty. He has been unplaced the last twice here however both those runs came on firmer ground. His sire Sulamani has a strike rate of 5% on firmer ground, and a strike rate of 14% when he gets some cut. The ground is the softer side of good today so quite clearly more favourable. When he last got his conditions at Ponty, he won off a mark of 72 and finished 3rd off a mark of 75. His speed ratings were nearer the 79 mark and he races off a mark of 69 today, so he also looks pretty well handicapped. Slight concern over the step up to 10f, given his poor record over the trip, but the price more than compensates and I think he may just have enough in his favour today to overcome it. 1/2 pt e/w

Re: Nap of the Day - Tuesday 7th April 2015 3.30 pontefract shadow ofthenight is yet to win a race, but not performing badly and this step up in trip will bring improvement, im sure. trainer cold until winner yesterday and so stable confidence now higher, and with a mark of 66 on this ground, i feel he has every chance of being in the fight for the line. 0.5pts ew 10/1 william hill bog
