Thanks @StevieDay1983 & commiserations to the Bluebirds for giving down. You gave it a good go, and really have had some good chances to escape the drop. I think it's our early season form that has really helped, and in the end it's only a few points that separates us. It will be interesting to see if NW stays for next season, I think he has won a few new friends this season, as his manner has been so much better.
It will be an interesting game this afternoon. Brighton are safe & the pressure is off. But Bruno has said that they still need to show defensive resilience again, so I'd be expecting a low scoring game, but definitely an Arsenal win.
What you need to do now is to go and pay @Mindfulness a visit. It was those nasty boys from Croydon that sent you down. They obviously must really love Brighton and couldn't bear to be the team to get us almost relegated. Just when they had the chance to put a nail in our coffin, they gave us the kiss of life, lol

Well you were doing really well with your first post, but you've gone back to your old self on the second one. Your homophobic smut seems only to be reserved for Brighton and no other club. There is no mention of it in your Leicester write up.
I followed Brighton for 17 years whilst I lived in Sussex, and I can tell you, all the homophobic innuendo just gets boring. There is no room for racism, homophobia or bullying on here. Banter is fine, but keep it respectful.
If it carries on, then I will be off.

Swansea are massive at 3.50, absolutely huge. They've won 6 of their last 7 at home and should have been 7 but for a last minute equaliser by Hull. Derby have won one of their last 5 and are priced purely on motivation, which I'll always take on.
If this was half way through the season and same stats, Swansea would be around 2.00 to win.

Yeah you were spot on with Torquay and got on at just the right time. The league is weak, but they were clearly the best team in it and if he stays they should do well enough.

im another one who reads your posts but doesn't post much himself.
Im gonna follow a bit more seriously from now on. I've been watching Torquay since January, so I am taking a keen interest in the Non League scene now.
My 34/1 Torquay to win the title came in too. Best bet I've ever had! Plymouth are rumoured to be after GJ at the moment. I think he will stay here tho. His rapport with the supporters is amazing. I'm getting a ST here next season, so will be able to offer more of an insight during the season.
well done on another great season

    Liverpool vs Huddersfield
The Premier League title race takes centre stage on Friday night when Liverpool host already relegated Huddersfield in an 8pm kick-off from Anfield. Can the Reds leapfrog league leaders Manchester City with a win and maintain the pressure on their title rivals?
Liverpool are doing everything they can to stay in the title race. Jurgen Klopp's men are undefeated in the league since their 3rd January loss to Manchester City. In addition to that, the Reds have now won six league games in a row including keeping back-to-back clean sheets.
Huddersfield are a contradictory tale with Jan Siewert's side having already known their relegation fate for a number of weeks now. The Terriers are in 20th place with just 14 points accumulated so far this season. It's now 20 defeats from their last 22 league matches and that includes 7 league losses on the bounce. Easy to see why the bookies heavily favour Liverpool here. Especially because Huddersfield have only won 1 of their 17 away games in the league this season. It could also be the fact that Huddersfield haven't won at Liverpool since 18th August, 1956.
As everyone has suggested, there's no value in a home win. It seems almost inevitable. However, it's worth noting that despite Huddersfield not getting the results this season they hardly ever get properly turned over by teams. Only on 4 occasions in their last 22 league games has a team beaten them by more than 2 goals. I can see something similar happening here with the Liverpool nerves. The longer Huddersfield dig in, the more nervy the home fans may get. I'm thinking a handicap for Huddersfield might be worth a bet here.

let's face last couple of weeks have been pretty atrocious in trying to pick winners football wise as all team desperately battle to get points for playoff places or avoid getting relegated. it's been difficult for sure and too many unexpected and disappointing results but as the season draws close to the end it won't be any different this weekend so let's see how the following turn out.
    acca tip
bournemouth - i'm willing to take risk on this one. call me a rebel or whatever but bournemouth has 50% chance here and i'm willing to give the the benefit of doubt
wigan - i'm expecting wigan to be in the winnable frame of mind and that could see them get three points in this match
sheff wed - bruce has made them very solid defensively and importantly they score goals at the other end so i think they have a shot at playoffs. this is their chance to make it count
west brom - the hosts are surely the better side even if rotherham come to scrap for it i'm expecting west brom to show their quality
barnsley - low odds on home team but their form has been great and scoring isn't a problem.
forest green - the guests have a very solid and mature game to them. they are on four match winning run and should have enough edge about them to win this one as well
    stake £20   pays about £4.500 - 5.000
    good luck

sheff wed is another team who could push themselves into play contention with victory. they can get it done

I think it will be more of the same, as in the Wolves game. Brighton will go and look to preserve the point they start with. It will be 11 players defending for 90 minutes. U2.5 for me, or BTTS NO.

    Cardiff vs Liverpool
OK, so @Tiffy's Brighton put a spanner in the works by grabbing a draw against Wolves. It's now over to my Cardiff side to try and pull off the near impossible by getting a win against Liverpool here to get back level on points with the Seagulls in this 4pm kick-off from the Cardiff City Stadium this afternoon.
Cardiff kept their thin hopes of staying up in the top flight alive with the 2-0 win over Brighton in midweek. Neil Warnock has played down his team's chances of winning here. I mean, understandably so, our last victory over the Reds came back on 19th December, 1959. That was Bill Shankly's first game as Liverpool manager.
We have lost 5 on the bounce against Liverpool in all competitions since then but one of those was the Capital One Cup Final defeat on penalties after a 2-2 draw. What a bloody emotional game that was! I seem to remember being quite drunk and getting topless behind the goal when Ben Turner scored that equaliser. That's another story anyway!
Liverpool need to win here to leapfrog their title rivals Manchester City into first place. Jurgen Klopp's side have looked nervy over recent weeks. The good news for the travelling side is that they have no new injury concerns and will be relishing this latest challenge having scored 13 goals in their last 3 meetings with Cardiff.
The stats don't show any favour towards Cardiff here at all. The major concern is the absence of Harry Arter through injury but also the potential injury of Aron Gunnarsson. If the Icelandic stalwart is out then we're screwed. We can cope without Arter but not him and Gunnarsson.
My beloved Bluebirds have only won 2 of their last 8 home league games. We pushed Chelsea and Arsenal close at home but we were thoroughly destroyed by Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham so our performances against the top sides might have been mixed but have brought no points.
Sadly, I can't see us getting anything here. We gave Liverpool a good game up at Anfield before eventually succumbing to their attacking prowess. Maybe it'll be different in front of a fervent Cardiff City Stadium but I think Liverpool will have enough to win this game by 2 or 3 goals in the end. Our fate will be decided against Fulham and Crystal Palace, not necessarily in this game.

Cheers mate. Yes, me and my son had a great day in London. We walked along the south bank, had  some great pie & mash at Borough Market and a few halves along the way!
I am glad that everyone's "safe" betting strategy on over 2.5 goals and a Brighton "bumming" never happened. i never thought it would to be fair, and had a small wager on them to win at 21/1 & to qualify at 12/1.
Great atmosphere from the Brighton end, and a solid performance from us. Very proud of the team, and it wasn't the thrashing that everyone thought it would be. We are good defensively, our problem is at the other other end. I think it may cost us next season.
There is now the small matter of a huge game coming up against your mob, in what will now be a crucial 6 pointer!

On paper, it looks like an away win here, I agree. But there is always danger once a team has been relegated, and the pressure is suddenly off. It's not a game I will be touching, and will be interesting to see how Huddersfield perform here.
    Good luck
