Some great comments last weekend from @Setup, @vasilli07, and @Icongene. Very keen to hear your thoughts right now for these games. Also interested to hear from others such as @gogetta, @Xcout, @clubgowi, and @zemo91.

It's tough to find our feet at the moment with Toronto, Dallas, and Sporting Kansas the only teams remaining unbeaten after only five rounds of action so far. It seems the goals market and corners market (*cough cough* @Tiffy) could be where the sensible betting goes.

Did somebody mention CORNERS! Looks like you'll be needing an expert on that particular market then.

I'll see if I can go and find one...............

  3. Well @sajtion good job you are not homeless tonight! Another record broken tonight @rangers234, the second one this season as we beat Sheff Weds for the first time at Hillsboro in over 100years.

Sounded like a good game & great atmosphere, always good at Loftus Rd, I love that ground, it's a proper old school London stadium. Think you were probably a bit unlucky not to snatch a draw, but I am delighted with the win.

Right voting is over and there was only one vote I voted for myself so @StevieDay1983 pack your bags mate you're banished from the land - all fingers crossed and no dibs allowed so it can't be taken back.

    sorry mate I really am.

p.s just reading the small print and the loser also has to emigrate so you will have to leave the country by the end of the week - hard lines mate

Oh that's a shame for the poor lad, but Between you and me, I never liked him much anyway!!

    :drums (only kidding @StevieDay1983)

    •  QPR V BRIGHTON
    •
    • QPR are unbeaten in their last 11 games in all competitions against Brighton at Loftus Road (W5 D6), last losing in September 1957.
    • Brighton have gone eight matches without defeat against the west London side, winning four and drawing four.
    • Anthony Knockaert has had a hand in four goals in his last two games against QPR (three goals, one assist).
    • QPR haven't kept a clean sheet at Loftus Road in the Championship since a 1-0 win over Bristol City in October.
    • Brighton are unbeaten in their last seven Championship fixtures contested on a Friday, winning six (D1).
    • QPR's last nine Championship goals have all been scored at home.
    •

Looks like it is destined to finish in a score draw!

Celtic are closing in on going the whole league season unbeaten and I think they'll do it. I can't see them taking the foot off the gas when they have the cup semi final against rangers in a couple of weeks time either. Also Kilmarnock are honking, I wouldn't back them to beat Hearts, never mind Celtic.

You know what'll happen now don't you!!!!!!

    Thank you oh wise one!

After digesting your valued and informed opinion,I'll definitely be backing Killie, haha:cheers

  6. Brighton will be in for a tough game against QPR. I think that they should be good enough to get at least a point though.

I may be tempted to take QPR on the corner count, as Brighton just don't have a lot of corners. Although QPR don't have anything to play for, so they may be focusing on their summer hols now.

Don't know what else I like the look of on this weeks coupon, perhaps Derby to beat Birmingham? Gary Rowett seems to have fired them up a bit & will he will be returning to a ground where he will want to prove a point to the Chinese owners.

Does anyone else think that Celtic could be opposed? They have won the title, and as with teams that have won titles, their foot may be going off the gas now.  A draw midweek against Patrick could suggest this. They have Kilmarnock on Sat, who need a win to confirm them staying up (Is this right, not sure how the Scottish leagues work)

    @Icongene, & @allyhibs, what do you think?

You vultures better keep away from him!!!

With regards to Southampton game; I feel it's a very unpredictable contest. I acutally think the pricing for the game is in the right region as things stand. There's no guessing how Palace will perform after expending all that mental and physical energy against Chelsea. Tomkins and Dann both sustained injuries in that game so we are getting very light on centre-backs. We still have the big boss man (Sakho) which is key but Southampton can cause us problems with their high pressure style which we often see in their home games this campaign.

I don't see Palace winning this one, I feel it will either be a draw or home win. If markets are wrong then they're not far wrong imo, I will sit this one out but good luck if you decide to get involved.

You won't hear this from me very often, BUT for 1 night only "Come onyou Eagles, lets get a win tonight!!"

    Gone for them DC!

    Wish me luck

erm did i miss something? how much did the lucky man win?

His team won the cup at Wembley. Doubt we will hear from him this week as he will be hungover, probably still in the fountain in Trafalgar Square!

EDIT, Sorry just read the earlier threads about him going large. Wow, think he will be getting the drinks in at the PUNTERSLOUNGE Christmas party!!!

Haha, well we have to get you lot back for nicking Glenn Murray off us don't we?

Thanks for your thoughts, Palace are one of my bogey teams, they will always bust my coupon!

However, I think I may be tempted into something, I'll have a look. Looks a good price given the way you are playing, and with Sahko shoreing up the defence, Benteke & Zaha seem full of confidence, perhaps it could time for some payback!

  10. Arsenal V City

    City +1 1.53

    City most corners 1.8

    CORNER COUNT 3-8,

    Burnley V Spurs

    Over 10 corners 1.83
    Spurs -2.5 AH Corners 1.86
    Spurs most corners - 1.33

    CORNER COUNT 3-7

    Liverpool v Everton
    Liverpool -3 HC 1.9
    Liverpool most corners 1.2
    Liverpool first corner 1.44

    CORNER COUNT 2-3

    BRENTFORD V BRISTOL CITY
    Over 10 corners 1.83

    CORNER COUNT 6-3

    OVERALL, BETTING 1PT PER BET = -0.65!

  11. Yes @StevieDay1983, one Albion team doing the other a favour. It could have a massive effect on Tuedays game against Brum. I can only see a Brighton win here as they will be full of confidence now the gap has opened up to 9 points. Don't forget the superior goal difference, which now really takes it to 10/12 points.

BUT....I would go for a Brighton win & BTTS NO. Uwe Hudemier is performing like a superhero at the back with Dunky, and all injuured defenders are back fit now (apart from the long trerm Duffy & Goldson)

Think I may stick to the Prem midweek.

I will post some updates if I get time

  12. Thanks @StevieDay1983, had a mixed bag with the coirners last week! But managed to pull some others out of the bag over the weekend.

(Celtic -1, Cov & Oxf BTTS, Arse V City BTTS & O2.5 treble at over 4/1 one of the best). Then lumpled large on Barca last night too.

Surely Leicester & Spurs are bankers, and why are Palarse over 5/1 @Mindfulness, surely they would be worth backing on the X2?

Great shout by the way on backing them against Chelseas. A Chelsea supporting customer of mine had a fiver on Palace to win 2-1 at 33/1!!

Are you going to sell Zaha again? Think Brighton could be interested for next season....:ok

  13. Back on the corners markets this week!

    Arsenal V City
City have won 10 of their last 14 away games on the corner count. They average +2.79 per game more than their opponents.
Arsenal have won 9/13 at home, and average +2 per game.

I feel that City have more to play for as they will want to cement their top 4 position as soon as possible. Arsenal players seem to have given up this season, and they don't fare  well on the corners against top quality opposition.
Both teams average over 10 corners per game.

    City +1 1.53
    City most corners 1.8i

    Burnley V Spurs

Burnley home record W5 D/L9, average -1.6 per game
Spurs away record W8 L5, Average +1.9 per game, Total match ave 11.9 on away games

Along with other posters on here, I feel that Spurs are in top form right now, and should be all over Burnley like a rash. Burnley are no slouches on corners either, so I fancy a few here. Spurs have covered the -2 handicap 7/13 away games this season

    Over 10 corners 1.83
    Spurs -2.5 AH Corners 1.86
    Spurs most corners - 1.33

    Liverpool v Everton
Liverpool home record - W11 D/L3 Ave +3.79 per game, averaging 10.07 per game
Everton away record - W3 D/L 11, Ave -1.57 per game.Tot 9.29 per game. They have not won a corner count in any away game in 2017!
Liverpool have covered the -3 HC on 9/13 home games

I'd be expecting a fast start from the Reds, with Klopp going all out on his attack, attack, attack style of play.

    Liverpool -3 HC 1.9
    Liverpool most corners 1.2
    Liverpool first corner 1.44

    BRENTFORD V BRISTOL CITY
    City away match ave 12.39
    BRENTFORD home match ave 12.33

    Over 10 corners 1.83

Yeah, you're right mate. I always had this rule that I would only bet on football when our 11 a side team was block booked to play on 3G. Our booking lasts from the first Thursday in September to the last Thursday in March. Before and after those dates I found results were a complete lottery. Still, I've abandoned that idea ever since I hit an 8 team accumulator back in 2010!

Also, @skyblues88, you must be relieved to have this fella backing you on the weekend!

So that's what @andrewcalo gets up to at weekends!
