I just read that Hull City have made 8 changes to their starting lineup while Millwall have only made 2. So despite Hull's excellent form, I am going for the home win - odds slightly above evens.

Today i think Away Teams are good Choice. For me i have Oldham +1.5 and small the Oldham win. No really BIG Surprises here in this Round, so maybe Oldham can made it....
Also i´m on Under 3 Goals in Sheffield-Barnet Game and on DC of the Away Teams in Preston-Doncaster and Milwall-Hull Games....
And also my Main Bet for today is a Combo from Watford AHC-1.5 and Leicester to Win... First Leicester i´m afraid off, but after there good Games in League and without any danger about relegation they can take this serious today and will made it...

yossa6133 reacted to Darran in Hunter Chase season 2019
I have been putting Non-League football tips up on Punters Lounge for over 8 years now and for over a year they have been exclusively on this site. I haven't ventured too much into the horse racing section although I have put up some hunter chase previews in my time on the forums. I have been tipping in hunter chases online for 9 years now. The first 3 of those were free, but in 2013 I started charging for my previews and ran an email preview and review service for the next 6 years. Towards the end of the last hunter chase season Paul and me slightly randomly started emailing about what my hunter chase previews and to cut a long story short my previews for the 2019 season will now exclusively be on the Punters Lounge forums.
The reason I focus on hunter chases when it comes to horse racing is that I firmly believe they are the best betting medium in racing. Because the form and video footage isn't widely available it means there are more mistakes made by the bookmakers when it comes to pricing them up and in that regards it is very much like Non-League football.
If you haven't seen one of my previews before then they are in-depth and I also write reviews of every race as well as I think that is just as important as writing the preview. I have added profit totals for the last 6 seasons. Now these totals are estimates rather than set in stone. First of all until last year I never put points totals to tips on the 3 hunter chase meetings so they aren't included prior to last year. Also I know people will get different prices from what I have put them up at. Sometimes bigger sometimes shorter so people's profits will be different. I also think the tips are only part of the package as I like to increase people's interest and knowledge on hunter chases in the same way I hope to do the same via my Non-League previews.
I haven't not made a profit yet, but I will never promise a profit as no one can. Hopefully though it will be another successful season. The first race is on Wednesday at Taunton and I am really looking forward to the season ahead. There are over 90 races this season and each separate day's action will have a new thread. Most previews will go up at some point the night before although occasionally it will be on the day of the race. Any questions then don't hesitate to ask.

yossa6133 reacted to Darran in Non-League Predictions > New Year's Day
December was very tough at times, but Boxing Day and Saturday were profitable so we ended the year in good shape. I had a fairly wide shortlist for New Year's Day but have whittled it down to 7 in the end. The ones that missed out were Dover, Solihull, Southport and Hereford.
    Barnet v Boreham Wood
Not sure if John Still retiring had an effect on the Dagenham game on Saturday, but it was obviously a good effort to beat an in form Dagenham. Sounds like they deserved it as well and if they can continue in that form then I think this game offers a good chance to win back to back matches. Boreham Wood won the Boxing Day match 1-0 thanks to an 88th minute winner, but they then had a very poor defeat to Maidstone on Saturday. Their away form is not strong having only won twice on the road in the league and with caretaker manager Darren Currie keen to keep the job full time he will want to make sure his team keep on winning.
    Braintree v Ebbsfleet
Got the Ebbsfleet v Eastleigh game very wrong on Saturday as Ebbsfleet fully deserved their 3-0 victory. It was an impressive performance and they look a different side since Gary Hill took over as manager. They looked like a club who might get sucked into the relegation battle, but all of a sudden they will be eyeing another play-off place and if they are to get there then it is games like this they need to pick up 3 points in. Braintree picked up a much needed 3 points on Saturday when beating Maidenhead 1-0, but it was a poor quality game as you would expect and given they have only won once at home in the league all season, the away team look value at a shade odds against.
    Salford v Wrexham
It is a shame that BT Sport didn't chose this game to show on New Year's Day as Bromley v Sutton is hardly a big draw. Salford's poor recent run continued on Saturday in a game that was on TV. It was a cracker as well, but Salford lost out at the death at Barrow losing 3-2 having twice come back to level it up whilst having 10 men. Their defence though is a huge weak point and it showed in that game and it certainly showed at Wrexham on Boxing Day when they put 5 past them. They can't keep relying on their strike force to dig them out of trouble and when you play a team as strong defensively as Wrexham then you are going to find it much tougher to score than usual. I put Wrexham up on Boxing Day as they were a big price and they are too big again here especially after getting another good win on Saturday against 5th place Solihull.
    Altrincham v Stockport
There were 3 big priced teams I was considering in the National League North and in the end I plumped with just going with Stockport as a bet. Stockport have sneaked into 3rd place in the table and although 7 points behind Bradford Park Avenue you have to think they are possible title contenders as they should be in a much better position to strengthen than the two teams above them. I don't really need to repeat Stockport's stats having put them up on Saturday. Altrincham have only lost once in their last ten games, but that was on Boxing Day at Stockport. They are only 1 point behind their opponents here and are having a very good season back at this level, but on the whole in that spell of 10 games they have had a pretty kind run of fixtures. As Boxing Day showed I think Stockport have the edge and 5/2 about an away win is too big in my book.
    Hampton & Richmond v Woking
I said Woking should have been odds on on Boxing Day in this game and they won easily. They weren't at their best on Saturday but still ran out 2-0 winners against Eastbourne and they look value to beat Hampton again. Hampton were 3-0 down to Chippenham and got it back to 3-2, but that was another poor defeat against a team who hadn't won in 7. Basiclly what I wrote on Boxing Day stands for this game and 131/100 with Marathon is too big.
Hendon v Chesham (Southern Premier South)
On the face of it this game is between the team 8th in the table and the team in 20th and you would expect the home side to be short odds in those circumstances and that is the case here. Hopefully though we can take full advantage of those odds because on form they are very wrong. On the 10 game form table Hendon only have a really poor Staines side below them and they have lost 7 of their last 8 games. Chesham on the other-hand have lost just two of their last 10 games and as I mentioned the other week are much better than their current position in the table suggests. No way should the home side be odds on for this and Chesham are over 5/2 with Marathon which is massive. The only slight concern is Hendon didn't play on Saturday so should be a bit fresher, but otherwise it looks a cracking bet.
Kings Langley v Walton Casuals (Southern Premier South)
The table suggests there isn't a great deal between these two sides, but then you look at Walton's away form and see that the home side are well worth a bet. Casuals have one just once on the road and drawn just twice in their 10 league away games. With the home side in really good form at the moment, they have only lost twice in their last 10 league games and got a great 4-3 win at 4th place Harrow on Saturday, they look a good proposition here. Like the game above the tips did play on Saturday when their opponents didn't, but hopefully that won't make any difference here.

    Stoke vs Millwall
The Championship is an exciting prospect this week with plenty of action to consider at both ends of the table. In this game, it's play-off chasing Stoke up against a relegation-threatened Millwall in a 3pm kick-off at the Bet365 Stadium. On paper, this seems a done deal but is it naive from the bookies?
Stoke are on the surge right now. Gary Rowett has seen his team now go on an unbeaten run since 20th October of 9 league games. This run of results has propelled them up to 11th in the table and just 5 points off the play-off place having previously been more focused on looking behind them.
Millwall are not quite enjoying the highs of the last couple of seasons. Neil Harris and his men are sitting in a precarious position of 22nd place. The Lions are in the relegation zone on goal difference and only 5 points from the foot of the table. It's now 7 league games without a win for Harris's side.
Worryingly, Millwall have only won 1 of their last 9 visits to Stoke. It's 1 draw and 8 defeats in that spell. That stat won't be helped by the fact that Millwall have only picked up 3 points on the road this season and that is absent of any win. Their last win on the road was 10th April, 2018.
You have to fancy Stoke here at this price. Rowett's side are looking more organised and settled now. Millwall, in comparison, are an omnishambles. Every game without a win is a step closer to relegation. Right now, you'd have to say they're amongst the favourites for the drop. Their away form is terrible. No wins and less than a goal per game scored. Dark times for the Lions.

    Wolves vs Liverpool
We are treated to a Friday night game in the Premier League this weekend. Mid-table Wolves entertain the league leaders Liverpool at Molineux for this 8pm kick-off. Can the Midlands team continue their revival of form or will the Reds extend their undefeated league run?
Wolves started the season well with just 1 defeat in their opening 8 league games. A slight blip in October and November without a win in 6 league games has now seemingly been put behind them. Nuno Santo's side have now won three league games on the bounce moving them up to 7th in the table and just 1 point behind Manchester United.
Liverpool are excelling this season. Jurgen Klopp's men have set the title pace and are now sitting on top of the table with a 1 point advantage over their main title rivals Manchester City. The Reds are undefeated and have won their last 6 league games in a row.
Despite the recent head-to-head between these two sides being fairly even with 3 wins for Liverpool and 2 victories for Wolves in the last 5 meetings, the travelling side are unbeaten in their last 5 visits to Molineux. Their last defeat away in the league came against Chelsea on 6th May last season.
The home side clearly hate playing on a Friday night. Wolves have lost their last 11 matches played on a Friday in the top flight. Their last top flight win on a Friday night came way back in April, 1965. That's a monkey they'll certainly want to get off their shoulder.
This is a massive opportunity for Wolves though. If they win this game then it will be four consecutive wins in the Premier League. The last time they achieved four wins in a row in the top flight was back in January, 1972. Wolves will also be the 27th team that Klopp has faced in the Premier League. He has earned at least one victory against all of the other 26 sides.
I'm backing this to be an exciting game with both teams attacking each other. Wolves showed against Manchester City that they can cause problems for the big teams. They've ridden the sticky patch and I can see this being a tough one for Liverpool. I think Klopp's side might squeeze a win out here but it won't be easy. 2-1 away win if I was pushed for a correct score.

Poch won't leave Spurs now will he? Spurs are on the brink of becoming a bigger club than Utd. I wouldn't fancy any of that lot if I was a Utd fan. Get Eddie Howe in!

Two poor Saturday's on the trot which is disappointing, but hopefully like last Tuesday we can get some of it back again.
    Havant & Waterlooville v Dover
I was surprised by the team Dover put out on Saturday as they rested quite a few players and they were lucky to get a replay scoring a 2nd very late on. I put Dover up as a bet for the Trophy, but clearly it doesn't seem a priority. They might play a stronger team here as it might be viewed as playing 90 minutes is better than training, but I think Havant are worth backing as they should win this if Dover put out the same side they did on Saturday and at least it covers the outright bet.
    Maidenhead v Oxford City
This game might not go ahead as the pitch was clearly in a right mess for the game to be called off after 75 minutes. City were 1 up and looking like being my only winner of the day on Saturday and they are only a little shorter than the best price available on Saturday so it seems worth backing them again as the reasons from Saturday are obviously the same as for Tuesday night.
Dorchester v Swindon Supermarine and Stratford v Coalville
Swindon do come into the game against Dorchester on the back of a 5-2 win over Basingstoke, but Dorchester continued their superb recent form by beating Eastbourne 4-0 in the FA Trophy on Saturday. That is a hell of a performance and things are really clicking for them right now as I pointed out last week. Swindon's away form is not great as they have lost 4 of their last 5 away league games and the only thing stopping Dorchester winning this is if their is a hangover from Saturday's win, but I think it will mean confidence is high and they will want to carry on their superb form. Stratford are another team in great form and they have lost just one league game in their last 10 and they have won 7 of those. Granted they were stuffed by Fylde in the Trophy on Saturday, but Fylde put out a strong side so their is nothing to be ashamed of with that result. Coalville had a tough game as well as they went to now top of the table Stourbridge and lost 4-2. That made it 3 away league defeats out of 4 games for them and it will be tough for them to get anything out of a bang in form Stratford. Both these sides are around even money so it makes sense to do the double which pays around 3/1 with Marathon.

I love what he's done with Wilson and Lawrence because it's showing at international level for Wales that they've come on in leaps and bounds over the last 6 months. Looking forward to the game tonight. I've got football at 8pm until 9pm so I'll try and catch the last half hour over the pub afterwards. I've always quite liked both Derby and Nottingham Forest so always feel awkward in this game when they despise each other so much.

I thought Lampard would do well, he's one of the few recent ex-players that seems to have a bit of a brain!

    Derby vs Nottingham Forest
Now, @yossa6133, you'll be able to offer a more educated view point on this fixture so please do build on or take down anything I say!  It's the Monday night football match between local rivals Derby and Nottingham Forest in a 7:45pm kick-off at Pride Park. It could be about to go off in one of the most important East Midlands derby matches of recent memory.
Derby are perhaps surprising a few people, including myself, at how they are appearing to progress well under Frank Lampard. Fair play to the former Chelsea player, he's made some shrewd signings and appears to be getting the best out of the young attacking midfield players such as Tom Lawrence, Harry Wilson, and Mason Mount. They've also found a gem from the lower divisions in Jack Marriott. The Rams are sat in 5th place and certainly looking a solid bet to reach the play-offs.
Nottingham Forest are a club on their way back. Aitor Karanka is installing a new sense of belief in the squad that is thanks to the new ownership. The Tricky Trees are in 7th place but would move into the play-off spots with a win here. It is just one defeat in their last 8 league matches but, unfortunately, that was their last league game in a 1-0 loss at home to lower mid-table Preston.
The home team in this game boast the far superior head-to-head record over recent years. The past 5 meetings in the league have seen Derby win three and draw two. Forest have been unable to even score in four of those matches. It should be remembered that it has been a hard few years for Forest and their fans. This is a new era with new possibilities.
One thing Forest can come into this game confident about is that they won't go down without a fight. Karanka has made them a very hard team to beat on the road. It is just 1 loss in their 10 away matches in the league so far this season. 6 of those matches might have been draws but the fact is that Karanka knows how to tighten a ship up away from home. Except for that 5-5 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park the other week. That was just complete madness!
Interestingly, Karanka lost his first game against Derby in English football back in 2013. However, since then he has gone unbeaten playing them in his last six outings. Is he a bogey manager for the Rams? Or is it about time that he suffered a defeat?
I'm not really sure which way this will go. I'm tempted to back Derby to win but I think Forest can nullify the Derby attacking line to a large extent, albeit maybe not all game, if they play as organised as they have done away from home this season. Take the 5 goals conceded against Villa out of the equation and Forest have conceded just 8 goals in 9 away matches this season. I think I'm going to back a score draw.

No you aren't seeing things this is the thread for Saturday (there maybe mid-week bets to follow in addition to the FA Cup one once more prices go up), but I have a rare early bet as I think the price is going to go by the time I do the rest of my bets.
    Aldershot v Wrexham
Having opposed Aldershot yesterday it was annoying that it ended up a 3-3 draw as Bedford got very close to landing the 10/1 bet on them. They now replay on Tuesday night which isn't going to help ahead of this game, but as I mentioned in Saturday's preview the home side have a lot of injuries at the moment and things are so bad that they could only name 2 subs! It seems manager Gary Waddock might be on his way to Bristol Rovers, but he made a suggestion earlier in the season that there were issues off the pitch and it seems they have no money to get anymore players in. As mentioned on Saturday they are on a shocking run of form and have even lost their last two home league games having been so strong at home earlier in the season. They face a Wrexham side who have only lost to Leyton Orient in the league in their last 10 games and saw off a useful Boston side easily in the FA Trophy on Saturday. For me Wrexham should be odds on and the 5/4 with Skybet (if you can get on) is a big price in my view. I would have them about 4/6 for this before the possibility of things getting worse for them in the Bedford match on Tuesday night and the fact Waddock might be on his way. The one slight concern is that Wrexham have drawn 4 of their last 5 away league games, but this is just the type of game they have to win if they are going to keep tabs with Orient and Salford and Aldershot look there for the taking at the moment.

Hey Darran, what do you reckon to a potential upset at Barrow by Halifax in the trophy? Barrow been going well recently but they have just lost their top scorer in loanee Ty Smith going back to Sheffield United. We saw last week that Halifax can be difficult to grind down as was the case at Dagenham. Their league positions aren't miles apart and the odds of up to 4/1 on Halifax look too high to me.
Also Solihull away at Southport. Both have midweek FA cup replays that they'll want to prioritise, but crucially the Southport game is on Monday whilst Solihull is on Tuesday. Think Solihull might have a bit better squad depth, so just over evens seems to be value for a game that Southport will surely rest the majority of first-teamers.

Normally, i wouldn't be backing Havant, but Dover's lineup is really weak and their intent (or lack of it) in this trophy is apparent. 7 changes tonight, with no regular attackers in the lineup, starting an academy player as well, all in all, i see only 4 starters. Havant are no world-beaters, they are in the same zone as Dover in the table, but their lineup tonight is much better, only one non regular in the lineup, Good luck!

    Aston Villa vs Stoke
One of the most interesting matches this weekend can be found in the Championship where two potential promotion-chasing ex-Premier League big guns go head-to-head at Villa Park when Aston Villa host Stoke in this 3pm kick-off this Saturday afternoon.
Aston Villa have been rejuvenated under Dean Smith. The club is on a run of 4 wins and 2 draws from their last 6 league matches. It includes Smith leading his team to 3 wins in their last 4 home league games to send them to 8th in the table. Not only have the results improved but the style of football is more free-flowing and restrictive than it was under former manager Steve Bruce as well.
Stoke are also finally getting momentum going under Gary Rowett. Big things were expected by the former Birmingham and Derby gaffer after his relative successful tenures at those Championship clubs. However, the Potters started the season with just 1 win in their first 7 league games. Form has improved and the club has moved up to 10th in the table with an unbeaten run of 8 league matches. Frustratingly, 5 of those matches have ended in draws. In fact, 3 of the last 4 away league matches have been draws for Stoke.
The Potters have an impressive recent away record against Aston Villa. In their past six meetings at Villa Park, Stoke have won 3 and drawn 3. Is it time that the Villains finally turned the table on that bad form or will Stoke enhance their reputation as Villa's bogey side?
I'm torn in this game. I'm favouring Villa slightly because I think Smith has got them purring. However, Stoke have made themselves a hard team to beat. I just think Villa might have too much for them on home turf. It could be a single goal that decides it but it could also be a thriller.

    BARBROOK STAR - 2/1 Bet 365
With the Phillip Hobbs stable in such good form(had a winner again at Leicester yesterday),the unexposed BARBROOK STAR looks the value pick here at the evening 2/1 quote.
Still a maiden after ten starts, the selection showed that chasing is going to be his game when a much improved 3rd of 14 in a competitive handicap at Chepstow three weeks ago on chase debut.
An unfancied 22/1 shot, the six year old jumped soundly, keeping on well all the way up the home straight. There looks to be plenty more to come...

    HARD STATION - 7/4 Skybet
Front running trailblazers are a favorite of mine so HARD STATION was always going to be my pick here.
Richard Bandey's gelding was backed if defeat was out of the question when winning three weeks ago at Market Rasen. Making all,the selection found more when asked, showing a most likeable attitude to win gamely. The booking of Richard Johnson for the ride is most interesting..

Last Saturday was pretty dire stuff, but at least the one bet on Tuesday night was a winning won thanks to Dorchester's thrashing of Staines. The National League sides enter the FA Trophy this weekend and there will be a few resting players ahead of a busy Christmas period. I have 5 bets plus a treble and I also have 3 bets in the league action.   Previews to follow   AFC Telford v Farsley Celtic Two teams who are in the promotion hunt in their respective leagues although Farsley look the more likely to be in the automatic promotion picture in the Northern Premier League and they have been really impressive in recent weeks. Indeed they are now on an unbeaten run of 9 games in the league. They got a really good win against a good Basford side last Saturday and I think they are capable of causing an upset here. Granted Telford have only lost once at home in the league this season and that only came in their last home game against league leaders Bradford, but I think Farsley are more than capable of making life hard for their hosts and they are over priced in my view. Aldershot v Bedford
Aldershot's home form is what was keeping them clear of the relegation battle in the National League, but even that has deserted them of late as they have lost their last 2 home games. They are looking over their shoulder's again and I don't think they will fancy this game at all. They are struggling for fit defenders and they are a team under pressure right now given they have only picked up 1 point in their last 5 games. Bedford played in front of 65 people last week (away at bottom side North Leigh) so this will be rather different and they are a step 4 side so that is a big difference, but that is why they are such a big price. They are having a decent enough season so far siting in 6th place. Yes it is a big ask, but this is a real chance for them to cause a huge upset and I think they offer value at the prices.   Barnet v Bath City Barnet are having a good run in the FA Cup and they might be thinking this is a competition they could do well in, but I think they might get knocked out at the first time of asking. Barnet have not been great at home in the league this season having won just 3 times and they have also lost 4 of their last 5 games in the league. Now Bath have only won one of their last 6 league games, but they have only lost 3 of their last 10 so it is hardly like they are in bad form. I think like most National League South sides on their day they are capable of beating anyone in the league and in turn if Barnet fail to turn up at home again then I can see Bath being capable of causing an upset and are a spot of value.   Leyton Orient v Beaconsfield Traditionally clubs who are going for promotion to the Football League have wanted out of the FA Trophy asap. I can't believe that Justin Edinburgh wont rest players for this game and he really won't care if they make it through to the next round or not as it is all about getting promotion. Now obviously in theory they should be winning this, but at a huge price I am happy to take a chance on Beaconsfield. They have only lost 3 league games all season and if Orient do put out a mainly reserve team then Beaconsfield have every chance of causing an upset here. It is worth considering that Orient also lost to in the FA Cup at the first time of asking.    Maidenhead v Oxford City Maidenhead briefly threatened to improve their woeful form after beating Sutton and drawing with Ebbsfleet, but they have gone back to their poor performances in the last couple of games. There is a strong chance this will be a league game next season as I struggle to see even Alan Devonshire keeping them up. City are inconsistent as is proven by the fact they have won 9 league games and lost 8. That puts them level on points with Bath and as I mention above they are another one of those teams who on their day can be very good as they were when nearly beating Tranmere in the FA Cup. This is a great chance for them to cause an upset and go on another cup run.   FA Trophy treble Not a bet I would usually put up, but given I have so many bets already I thought I would group together the 3 sides at just over evens who I fancy to win on Saturday. Eastleigh are one of the teams I think could end up in the Final as they look a decent side who are in and around the play-offs, but realistically this might be their better chance of getting to Wembley. They travel to Hemel Hempstead and it looks a decent chance for them to get through. Truro v Weston-Super-Mare is a relegation battle in the league, but they also play each other in the Trophy. Truro are playing this back at their old ground so should get plenty of support and they are in decent form at the moment. They did lose 4-0 to Oxford City last Saturday, but they bounced back by beating Slough on Tuesday and that loss is their only one in 7 league games. They look in better nick than Weston at the moment. Dulwich travel to lower league opposition in Wingate and they are struggling in the Bostik Premier and it should be an away win.   Hampton & Richmond v Welling (National League South) Hampton are in really bad form having lost 7 of their last 9 league games. They struggled to beat a 10 man East Thurrock two weeks ago and then played out a dire 0-0 draw with a Gloucester City side who are in even worse form. Welling were well beaten by Torquay last week, but there is nothing wrong with that given how good they are looking right now and it is only their 2nd loss in their last 10 games. This looks the perfect chance for them to get back to winning ways and they should be odds on in my opinion.   Lewes v Margate (Bostik Premier) Lewes are flying at the moment and were impressive in winning on Wednesday over Brightlingsea. That win put them on top of the table and they have now won 8 of their last 10 league games and I like their chances of picking up another 3 points here. Margate are too inconsistent to be challenging for the play-offs this season and they have only won 2 of their last 8 games. Lewes are the better side and they look worth backing at a shade of odds against.   Poole v Chesham (Evo-Stik Southern Premier South) Two in form sides here, but it has been priced up by league positions rather than the fact they are both in form. Chesham were awful at the start of the season, but they have changed things around and now things are on the up as they have only lost one of their last 7 league games and they have won 4 of their last 5. Poole have only lost one of their last 8 so like I say both teams are in form, but at 4/1 I think their is definite value in backing the away side as they are clearly better than their current league position.   Farsley Celtic 1pt @ 21/5 with BetVictor Bedford 0.5pts @ 10/1 with BetVictor & Betfred Bath City 1pt @ 15/4 with Bet365 Beaconsfield 0.5pts @ 14/1 with BetVictor Oxford City 1pt @ 13/5 with BetVictor, Betfred & Bet365 Truro/Dulwich Hamlet/Eastleigh 1pt @ 9.1/1 with Betfred Welling 2.5pts @ 11/8 with Betfred, BetVictor & William Hill Lewes 2pts @ 23/20 with Betfred Chesham 1pt @ 4/1 with Bet365
