billy the punter
Re: Casting The Net (A BTP Specialisation Thread) Thanks chaps. Friday - first race was disappointing, only Generous Thoughts running his race. 2nd and 3rd in the 2nd bet, but they had every chance and were not good enough. Saturday - Zaham and Ivy Creek ran well in the first bet (2nd and 4th), the 2m race was terrible but had a nice 81/1 exacta in the final Newbury bet (couldn't find the 3rd though). Two from the combo were in the frame in tonight's sole bet but again only 2nd and 4th. billy the punter
Re: Casting The Net (A BTP Specialisation Thread) Thanks guys. I wish I was Australian, they do that super-fecta thing based on the 1-2-3-4 home! ;) Exacta smaller surprisingly? Although they went 5s the field for a 12 runner handicap so probably right that the CSF would pay bigger.

On the subject of the Super fecta, for a while Laddies where doing a similiar thing on the french racing when they were showing plenty of it where you had to pick 1st 5 home. Bet covered one once per day. Shame they dont still do it.:ok

billy the punter
Re: Casting The Net (A BTP Specialisation Thread) Thanks to everyone for the comments. :ok I took a chance and played yesterday at the new Great Leighs. I looked nailed on in running to have the F/C on my first attempt but ending up with just the 1st, 3rd and 4th (7/4, 15/2, 5/2). In my 2nd race my three selections finished together, unfortunately they come in 3rd, 4th and 5th (8/1, 11/2, 8/1). Today was pleasing, 1-2-3-4 in the sprint. Nearly left Genki out due to the going and would've had the T/C for four times more! But as all four finished almost in the line then it was obviously correct to include Genki also. 1st Turnkey 8/1 2nd Damika 7/1 3rd Stevie Gee 5/1f CSF : £62.80 Ex : £50.20 T/C : £312.69 Close tonight at Windsor, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th (5/1, 13/2, 20/1), unfortunately I ignored the well backed winner.
