StevieDay1983 Posted February 15, 2019 Author Share Posted February 15, 2019 Schalke vs Freiburg One game in the Bundesliga this week feels like it might be a bit risky but worth the punt comes at the Veltins-Arena at 2:30pm on Saturday when lower mid-table sides Schalke and Freiburg meet for this encounter. Neither side is in great form so who will finally get a win after a drought? Schalke are experiencing an unexpectedly poor season so far. Domenico Tedesco's side would certainly have started the campaign expecting to be higher than 14th by this stage of the season but that's the way the cookie has crumbled. The Gelsenkirchen side started the season terribly with 5 wins on the bounce so it's been all about the recovery since. Freiburg sit just above Schalke in 13th place with just 1 point separating these opponents. Christian Streich's team will simply be happy with staying in the Bundesliga this season. So far it's mission accomplished but we've still got a long way to go. No win in the last 4 league games and a longer run of just 1 win in their last 12 league matches will weigh heavy on their shoulders. I'd be surprised if we saw anything but a home win here. Schalke are sh*t or bust at home with 4 wins and 6 losses. No draws. Freiburg have only won 2 of their 10 away games this season. The club might have lost their last two league games but they're the only losses in their last 6 matches in all competitions.
