York 2.25 The Grand Visir @ 12/1 bet365 e/w thanks

The Grand Visir....from William J Haggas yard the 3yo has been successful at 1m 3f and 1m 4f on good to firm and good to soft ground, He runs here for first time and conditions should be ideal for horse ,

He ran 29 days ago at Newmarket over 1m 4f (good to soft) beating Petitioner by 3/4 lengths and also won at Yarmouth this season in his first race of four in his racing debut , They're could be more improvement although handicapper has hit him with a 6lbs rise for that last win but being one of the sons of Frankel you never know , Jockey Daniel Tudhope takes the ride for the first time

2.25 York: Class 2 Handicap, 1m 6f

Irish St. Leger winner Jukebox Jury has an outstanding record with his first three year old's in Britain. Contributing towards this has been the Mark Johnston trained Dominating, who ha won already three times this year.

In fact in his last five starts Dominating has either won or finished second. The handicapper starts to catch up and going up significantly in class doesn't make things easier.

Still, at a big price and off a very low weight, with conditions likely to suit, he can run a big race and cause an upset I feel.

Selection:
Dominating @ 33/1 Paddy Power

5.15 York

Copper Knight @ 7/1 Stan James

This one was fav when beaten only 3L by Battaash at Sandown and most of those around him that day are now rated above his current mark of 100.  Ran well when dropped back into hcap company last time but 5f on Good/Soft at Ascot probably stretched his stamina.  Back at a track where he's a CD winner and has a top quality Apprentice up.
