445 Recar:

Cabal NAP 11/4 Bet365
Been running quite well of late and on more than one occasion suggested there was another victory in the 10yo mare. Over 7f at Wetherby last time she finished with a right rattle when it was all over and not surprisingly she goes back up to a mile here. It's not a great race and she has gone well here at Redcar a few times.

ASCOT 5 35 Red Galileo @ 40/1 PP e/w thanks

Red Galileo....from Saeed bin Suroor yard for the Godolphin set up the 6yo been successful at 1m on good ground for Ed Dunlop yard before change to Saeed bin Suroor in January 2016 but the horse was not seen until January 2017 when he appeared in a Meydan race over 1m 6f good where led going into final furlong and stayed on to win by a neck with Christophe Soumillon in saddle ,

The yard kept him in Meydan for a 2m race and 1m 6f race again, the two race came in the February where a 3rd over 2m and 7th place in a group 3 race beaten 12 lengths but Saeed bin Suroor other horse Beautiful Romance who won the race, I would think they where happy to get those 3 runs by Red Galileo in a two month spell after a year out of the limelight ,

With yard having him back in UK and dropping back to Handicap Stakes race and coming fresh again after 4 month break he could find the frame at a big price with Pat Cosgrave in saddle

8.25 Bath - Downtown Rebel @ 11/1 Bet365

Hasn't shown much in Ireland in maidens and then first time in a handicap but runs here off 54 and looks the type that might be underestimated by the handicapper coming across the border. Trainer is a positive too and looks worth a shot.

5.35 Ascot

STAR STORM @ 16/1 Skybet

Second in a Listed race over CD last time and won the Group 3 Cumberland Lodge here as a 3yo.  His only failure at the track came on soft ground.  Best form has all come on Good to Firm, won his only previous handicap appearance.  The Fanshawe stable historically does well with his older horses in June and Wood takes off a useful 3lb.
