3.55 Gowran Park - Jett @ 5/2 SkyBet

Jett is a half brother to both Jezki and Jetson who are Grade 1 winning hurdlers and after being slightly disappointing in bumpers he won a decent looking maiden hurdle on his first start over obstacles at Leopardstown. The drop in trip should pose no problems as he seemed to be tiring at the finish and he should build on that effort.

420 Fontwell: Bigmartre 9/4 Betway/888Sport

Harry Whittington has done well with his young horses this season and decided to bypass all the big meeting with Bigmartre.

On a mark of 134 and has been entered in a lot of top novice races recently but chose to come here to try and defy top weight in a weak looking handicap. He won here back in October so goes well on the track and then won again at Haydock later on beating Vintage Clouds and Flashjack. Last time out went back to Haydock to run in the Supreme Trial and was 4th to Itsafreebree and Le Prezien, both of those horse have enhanced the form and he really ought to be winning in this company.

Kemp 2.05 - Valhalla - ew at 25/1 bog wm hill

Novice hurdler

With Authorised Too a NR there's only 3 here in single figures in the market so going for one of the outsiders you need fingers crossed a bit that one or two of them underperform. A couple of them have penalties, a couple haven't run for 3/4 months, and a couple have RPR form that is only a couple of pounds better than my selection.........so there's a hope ! Plus of course there's the usual chaos and bad luck to figure in

My selection won a Point very impressively on good ground last September. Has shown promise in 2 hurdle runs but probably not suited by soft ground. Reappears now that the ground had got better and hopefully can fulfill some of his promise. Does look to be a bit of a stayer so it would help if they went quickly and he could be running on past tiring horses at the finish

Chris Hoy is busy.......he's actually preparing to compete as a drver in the 2016 Le Mans 24 hours motor race !

what is it with these cyclists !

Wonder if he'll sit at the very rear with the best car, then make late headway at the very end of the race without winning.
