3.15 HAYDOCK

BOX OFFICE @ 9/2 Ladbrokes

Was a little unlucky not to win last time out at Sandown when getting hampered at a crucial stage, looked a stayer in the making that day and is upped a little more in distance again today. Twice a winner on Heavy ground in France so the underfoot conditions shouldn't inconvenience. Only a five year old so his best days should be ahead of him. Trainer has won this twice in the last ten years including with Synchronised.

3.35 Ascot: Betfair Ascot Chase

Verdict:

I have always been a fan of Dynaste and if anyone can get him back to his best then the Pipe’s can. He has been running poorly and I need to see some flicker of his old self before wading in. This leaves the way clear for Silviniaco Conti to get back to winning ways. I do think the shorter trip will be right up his street, especially at Ascot where you need to stay every yard. He loves soft ground and has a nice break since Kempton. An alternative bet would be the stable mate Vibrato Valtat. They have always thought he would be better over this kind of trip and some of his form this season is pretty solid. If he lines up he looks a decent each way bet at the current odds.

Selections:

Silviniaco Conti 3/1 Betfred / Skybet

Asc 3.35 - Royal Regatta - win at 9/1 bog wm hill

Big race of the day, grade one chase over 21F

Taking a bit of a chance with Royal Regatta as he's one of the lowest rated on official figures

However he's an improving young horse, a CD winner and is up against quite a few old timers here who have questions to answer, particularly the market leaders, Silviniaco Conti and Dynaste

A surprise could be on the cards !

2.55 Fairyhouse - Golan Lodge e/w @ 14/1 Bet365

Townshend was a 170k purchase for Ricci and Mullins and has bags of potential but he looks very short in a very good handicap off this current mark based on what he did in France. Golan Lodge beat a well handicapped horse at Leopardstown wearing the same colours as the favourite and up 7lbs he should make his presence felt again. Improving and not short of pace the drop in trip should pose no problems and with the services of the best claimer in Jack Kennedy he looks a decent bet.

Mr Moonshine wins the 3:15 at Haydock, once again bursts the Scoop 6  ''Not 1 ticket on''

Mr Moonshines hasn't seen a racecourse in 392 days and his last 3 races read Pulled up, Pulled Up, Pulled Up  :lol

Piss Takers at times

Fluke result Jimmy, it happens on this sort of ground, simple as.

First 2 in betting pulled up, only 2 horses could go on the ground, he was very well handicapped on some of his old form, Sue Smith never runs her horse unless they are fit. No money for it so obviously not expected.

Same thing happened a few weeks ago G, full field covered bar 1, a V.Williams runner, and it won, name escapes me right now.

I know these thing happen G and we should never be shocked or surprised, but every now and again we get shocked and Surprised :loon
