Conditions are no problem. Described as a lovely big horse he's taken a couple of runs to get going since coming from France but now he's found his stride there could be more to come Current favourite is Alder Mairi who won by a long way last time at Wincanton despite some tack problems. Her last 3 wins have been at Wincanon and maybe she's better there than anywhere else ? Winston Churchill looks OK as well.......he won last time out on seasonal debut as he did last year. It seems that this horse is much better going left handed ( 3 from 12 in left handed races) than right handed where it is 0 from 10. The handicapper has dropped the horse a few pounds as well after 2 moderate runs in heavy ground both at Lingfield. Goes well at the course and trainer does well at this time of year. Ran ok over Hurdles last time and that should put him spot on for today. Half a dozen of these can be fancied and the likes of Buywise, Irish Cavalier, Champagne West, Annacotty and Village Vic will all have their supporters. My two against the field however are Little Jon from the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard and the course specialist Johns Spirit. I just prefer Little Jon as I think he’s a progressive sort who has not stopped improving and has a lovely low weight for a big handicap in soft ground. Johns Spirit won the Paddy Power here and is returning to handicaps after talking on Graded company all last season. Was second here 2 starts back and runs off same mark here and Luke Morris is in the saddle. The horse is now 13lbs below last winning mark and could take advantage of the drop in the weights. chris34 Posted December 12, 2015 Share Posted December 12, 2015 7.15 Wolverhampton This looks a pretty weak affair and Milton Bradley runs another in this and Burauq is perhaps one of those that had kicked started his good run off form winning his 2nd race on the bounce, clearly progressing at present and a 3lb rise again looks lenient again.
