Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 4:55 Kempton This looks an open contest with a lot of these having something to prove at this stage. It's worth taking a chance at one of the bigger priced runners and the disappointing Civil War should be right there if he's on his game. He won two flat races which have worked out pretty well over the summer and was 2nd behind All Yours who went on to finish 5th in the Fred Winter last month so he has talent. On the flip side he's been turned over 3 times as favourite over hurdles, once at odds so is becoming very frustrating for connections. He's fallen down to a mark of 112 now and at a nice price of 12/1 looks worth taking a chance on. Civil War - 0.5pts each way @ 12/1 Ladbrokes

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 Kempton 2.45 Red Tortue (5/1 bet365 bog) If non runner Warwick 2.55 Bally Braes Only 2 of these runners have won under rules, and the likely favourite (Herbert Park) is taking a big hike in distance of around 5 furlongs. Red Tortue’s 3 races under rules on the other hand has resulted in form figures of F1P, but that win was over today’s distance and his pulled up last time out was in a class 1. A big step up from the class 4 that he won and is racing in today

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 440 Chepstow: Rock N Rhythm 4/7 PP/WH Slightly tactical but looks the best bet of the day at Chepstow by far. Ran really well at Carlisle on his hurdles debut to finish 3rd to Three Faces West who looks fairly useful. He has won again so the form is solid enough. Will want further than this in time but the pudding ground here at Chepstow will bring out his stamina.

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 W4.20 Chiquilline 1pt Win 9/1 Bet365 This is the outsider of the 4, but other than hot favourite Hi Vic, I'd see this as the second most likely winner so purely on value grounds has to be the selection. The jockey is claiming 7lb and has terrific strike rate this season of 6 from 23. The horses 4th at Haydock would suggest the horse should stay this trip ok and if the favourite can't defy its rise in the handicap, this horse might be the one to capitalise.

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 Chep 5.15 - Marie des Anges - win at 11/10 bog bet365 Handicap chase My horse is the favourite and has been in good form this year, winning at Exeter and running a good 3rd at Newbury last time. She appears to handle any going, acts well on undulating tracks and has been dropped a couple of pounds since Newbury The main danger appears to be Sublime Talent but he looks best on good ground and easy or sharp tracks and is difficult to win with (2 years and 17 runs since scoring) Ran pretty well last time but I think this ground and testing track will find him out

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 5.05 Warwick - 1pt win The Gipper @ 8/1 (Bet365) Ran well when fancied on debut, just not quite reaching the lesser fancied stablemate. Presumably was showing something at home and ran green through the race. Should come on plenty for the experience and the winner that day has run respectably upped in grade. Looks a big price.

Non runner so I'll take a chance on Cape Caster in the same race. Again he progressed nicely on the flat over the summer reaching a rating of 88 and also won a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las easily. He then disappointed at 9/4 under penalty in a race won by the smart Beltor and ran poorly again losing to the same opponent in a Grade 2. With two of the main contenders now non runners this looks a much easier contest and returning to good ground may allow his flat ability to come through. Cape Caster - 1pt Win @ 7/2 Stan James

Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 30th March 2015 5.05 Warwick Highland Life 1pt win sp Wasn't the worst debut when 4th with 91 rpr in a bumper , I do like the kayf Tara breeding in these flat races , trainer more noted for chasers but you never know , worth a quid ew , nothing really grabs me
