@ Torque, Firstly I do not understand how this points system works which makes me want to ask how much a point is worth in terms of real money. I constantly see you re-backing pre-tournament favorites or strengthening your position as you would prefer to term it and wonder if you are really staking real money or just playing a private game of confidence boosting.

Secondly with due respect, I just see you to be constantly chasing on a daily basis with no solid belief behind the picks you put out. You just seem to be running a daily feel good blog within this forum where you just put out these recreational picks and then go into the ritual of providing a contigency explanation of why the picks did or did not do well. Left to me, I do not see the importance of the after-game postmortems as every game is different and should not be used to judge the next, unless of course it just aids you in the release of negative energy which consequently can have a domino effect on other readers. In fact, I think the most important requirement for successful tipping is to ensure that a person reboots their memory after viewing a previous match or previous matches to be able to achieve an unbiased analysis of the current matches in focus . When that is adhered to, you come to realise that every player performance no matter how seemingly convincing has limitations, and can only be used for the judgement of future matches to a certain extent.

Finally, I really cannot understand how you would constantly strengthen your position on two favorites that are in no way outstanding either in relation to the surface or the way this tournament has been unfolding and other hard to ignore circumstantial matters. Or is it because that is the only plausible reachable conclusion devoid of hard thinking? I am almost certain that Swiatek will not win this tournament while Djokovic while with major competition running alongside him coupled with the excess mental baggage remains very very iffy.

The reason for Iga's poor performance was the lack of technique / skills in playing without topspin on the grass; this should be trained and assimilated, among others, in pre-Wimbledon tournaments.
She had neither the time nor the energie for this after such an excellent but exhausting season. So the question is: why did she go to this tournament?
Iga's power is based on fast-played, incredibly intense topspin, so all opponents often have big problems with positioning for the optimal pickup of the ball. Her second serve without topspin is unfortunately, useless.

2 youngsters vying for the RG WTA title.  Swiatek and Gauff added age is still less than Serena Williams!  Can Coco win a RG title in this edition?  Yes but she has more chance to win the double partnering Pegula vs the French pair of Garcia/Mladenovic.  Unless Swiatek cannot hold her nerves and choke during the final match which is unlikely to happen at this stage, she should be able to go on and win the title in 2 sets.

A lot going on here, so my first post in a while.
Been watching a lot of the tennis, but is tough because the matches start East coast time (6am). My feeling is that Zverev didn't play a great match. Alcaraz gave it away.  He just started so badly, with so many unforced, stupid mistakes. Had about 7 after 2 games.
I think the Swiatek v Kasatkina match is just one way traffic. Kasatkina just can't hurt anyone on the court. Steady, not making mistakes, high looping shots, probably plays right into Swiatek's game. Her serve is a liability ... Kudermetova actually ate it for breakfast, but has a nothing serve herself (on clay).  Cannot see beyond a straight sets victory for Swiatek, in what should be a 1 sided spanking. Probably 2 and 2 or 2 and 3. If Kasatkina suffers some nerves, and Swiatek gets the momentum this one could be embarrassing.
Trevisian has a decent chance against Gauff. Has to pressure the Gauff forehand and hope she has a slight nerves/off day. I have a strange feeling someone runs away with the 1st set here and then it gets tight and close.
I can't access my betting account so no bets for a week,

    Iga is a miracle!

I didn't suggest anything about you, no need for your manipulation. It was about only mine mental state and I don't care about your winning or loses.
Value bets? It's where your percentage predictions of the match result meet the wrong bookmakers price.

Almost with surprise and compassion I watch tipsters betting several legged matches with very small odds.
How long does it take to recover with just one missed match?
Later we are witnesses of the lamentation of these heroic investors

I would be very hesitant to go against Swaitek in any bet. Yesterday she was 3-0 down to Azarenka (1st set) and then beat her 6-1. 2nd set down 0-1 and then won 6 in a row. She is on a run that is defining and awesome. 25 matches unbeaten, with 19 wins in straight sets. She is dominating opponents on return of serve. She must have covered the -6.5 handicap 15 times in 25 matches. And the crazy thing is that Azarenka didn't play badly. I think you are swimming against the tide opposing Swiatek at this moment.

The Swiatek v Raducanu match is an example of a match where I don't like the odds on either player. Swiatek definitely feels too short, but on the other hand Raducanu has been struggling with blisters and is also missing toe-nails apparently, plus Swiatek is in relentless form and playing on her favourite surface whilst clay is the surface Raducanu has the least experience on. One to just watch for me.

It's much easier for an American to feel at home all over the USA. Most of it looks and feels very similar. The same stores, over and over and over again. Starbucks, chick-Fil-A, Gap, Marriott, Hyatt, Walmart, Target,  Macy's, 7-eleven, Nordstrom etc etc. It provides a comfort-blanket for most US players.
When they come to Europe it's a mission. Need visa's, don't speak the languages etc. This feeling of being in a strange, unknown country adds stress. When the European clay court season starts, the advantage is definitely with the European players. They know the conditions, most speak multiple languages. They feel more at home, and are generally better travelers.
So players sometimes take a chance and show up very late for a tournament on the other side of the world. Nobody really wants to sit around a week in advance and be practicing away from home. So that first match after travel, especially long travel, with time zones, puts the traveler in a compromised, weaker position, especially when they are playing a local or semi local player (who has perhaps travelled a few hours, and not 15).
So the 1st match a traveler plays is their 'red-zone', where the chance of them losing is not reflected accurately in the odds. FOr example , Bencic plays badly 1st match at Indian Wells , but will go much deeper in Miami as she acclimates, Another example would be Lloyd Harris, who showed up for the Aussie open, didn't play a warm up tournament, played well below his ability,  and got knocked out 1st round by an Aussie.

Swiatek's mentality is honestly quite impressive. She's already a Grand Slam champion, but she hasn't gone down the route of Stephens, Ostapenko, etc. at all. She's hardly a media star, but she seems much more focused and hard-working. I honestly wouldn't be surprised one bit if she goes well past the likes of Osaka, Muguruza, etc. in a few years. I mean, she's still 20, but nobody seems to be mentioning this!

A few local writers (esp Torque :)) are too concerned about the historical and current achievements of Halep, and several  unearthed Iga's weaknesses.
Swiatek is a brand new tennis tycoon, well positioned by the new coach; I expect Romanian will be outpowered in this match.

My bet:  -2.5 Swiatek 1.8 at Onsidebetting

Well, Swiatek has finally won the first set of a match, so she'll be unbeatable haha. She's looked better than Halep so far.

There was no one to punish him somehow

I do not think that match requires thought of any kind. I think the h2h is 1-1 with Kasatkina winning on grass at a time when Swiatek was a complete novice on it. Here Swaitek"s game is well suited to the hard courts with that quick take-back that is bound to pit Kasatkina in deep trouble. I think Kasatkina has two realistic hopes here; Bob Hope and no hope! Borrowing NFL vocabulary, it should be a blitz.

He started with bad talk.. i have a right to comment his betting, like he comments most of everyone´s else posts with no need. Of course I don´t place his bets, don´t worry  but I´m saying he makes thread messed up for anyone looking for QUALITY tips and opinions! When there is GS going on, everyone like him is smart as ´´f***´´ about tennis, when there are challengers etc. there is few posts. Why? Because they know only top 50 players  everyone can write essays about Federer and Nadal..
