Xcout got a reaction from thetwotwins in Championship Predictions > Aug 2nd - 5th
That name seems familiar....the Woodgate that go to play for Real Madrid??...Yes it is...? when healthy he played well, sadly most of the time of his time there he was injured. I would never have figured he would end up as manager, never saw much of a character from him at Real Madrid, at least he got the help of Robbie Keane, who if I do not remember wrong does have a temper. An interesting experiment in Middlesbrough.

Ok we have 20 players in Div 8 at the moment with more to follow I presume.
I will add up the amount of players for both Divs 7 and 8 and split them evenly at the end of next week. (split in order entered)
Prizes are the same for both Divs so no-one is missing out on anything. Its juts fairer if you are up against the same amount of opposition.

Algeria vs Nigeria
The second Semi-Final of the tournament is set to be played at 8pm BST on Sunday evening when Algeria face Nigeria at the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo. Both sides have impressed over the duration of the competition so far but one side will be going home at the penultimate hurdle.
Algeria boast one of the best defensive records at this tournament. Head coach Djamel Belmadi witnessed his side concede their first goal of the tournament in the 1-1 draw with Ivory Coast in the Quarter-Finals. A 4-3 win on penalties came but it was a close shave for the Desert Foxes.
Nigeria have won this tournament three times previously and will be fancying their chances to add a fourth trophy to their history books. Gernot Rohr's side look devastating in attack having beaten South Africa 2-1 in the Quarter-Final with William Troost-Ekong scoring the deciding goal in the 89th minute. That's now 5 goals scored by the Super Eagles in the knockout stages and they look fearless going forward. However, it is also now 5 goals conceded in their last 3 games.
This game is going to have goals. Algeria have scored in every single game in this tournament. Backing both teams to score seems like a logical option. Who will win this game? I'm going to have to back Nigeria draw no bet. I think their attacking prowess will see them through in a battle of attack versus defence.

There is no particular incentive, but that does not mean that the teams will not fight for victory and third place. They are disappointed, but they have nothing to lose today, they can give it all and play freely, enjoying the game. I will bet on both teams to score
ARGENTINA vs CHILE @@ Both team to score, odds 1.67

Argentina vs Chile
The 2019 Copa America 3rd Place Play-Off is set to be played tonight in an 8pm BST kick-off with perennial under-achievers Argentina and reigning champions Chile at Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo. Not really sure anyone actually cares about the outcome of this game so there could be some decent value flying around.
Argentina have once again failed as a major international tournament. Lionel Messi was let down by a fellow Lionel's inadequacies in the form of head coach Lionel Scaloni. It had seemed that La Albiceleste had overcome the tactical flaws of their management to reach the latter stages of the competition but the 2-0 loss to host nation Brazil ended those hopes.
Chile also looked like they were gaining momentum in this tournament. It even seemed like Reinaldo Rueda's players could even go all the way and seal an historic third straight trophy win. However, an inspired Peru side had other ideas and inflicted a shock 3-0 win on La Roja.
Third place play-offs are always tough to call. Both sides are in need of picking themselves up after failing at the Semi-Final stage. There is also the potential of line-ups being changed and new ideas being implemented. This is making me think Argentina has more depth to their squad and if both sides bring in fresh legs then it will be Scaloni's side that prevails in a high-scoring affair.

Xcout got a reaction from StevieDay1983 in Europa League Predictions > Jul 2nd - 4th
Due to the playing date, this might be one of the games with the least eye balls of the whole Europa League. Yet there might be something to look upon, while the odds clearly point to an away victory, mostly because St. Joseph's is yet to win a fixture in their participation in Europa League. The best results have been three draws, with the last one at home against Faroes Island's B36 to proceed to extra time and lost on penalties. For this round they already draw the 1st leg, where both goals came from St. Joseph's, one of those an own goal.
Prishtina is also yet to win at away in Europa League, and with two draws in three away matches, it might be a draw the most probable outcome. Yet the odds are taking into consideration the difference in level, but as show in the first match things can end up in a draw.
Therefore: Draw with 1 units @ 3.09

Brazil vs Argentina
The first Semi-Final coming up is a 1:30am BST clash tomorrow morning between arch rivals Brazil and Argentina at the Estadio Mineirao in Belo Horizonte. The hosts have had a mixed tournament so far with highs and lows where as their rivals have somehow managed to get this far without really shining.
Brazil cruised through their group after managing to keep three clean sheets in a 3-0 win over Bolivia, a 0-0 draw with Venezuela, and then a 5-0 victory over Peru. The Quarter-Final saw Tite's men require a 4-3 win on penalties to navigate past Paraguay after a 0-0 draw over 90 minutes. This is their biggest test so far and one that will certainly capture the imagination.
Argentina have bumbled their way to this stage of the competition. Lionel Scaloni's side lost 2-0 to Colombia, drew 1-1 with Paraguay, and then scraped a 2-0 victory against Qatar to reach the last 8. A more confident performance saw them get past Venezuela with a 2-0 win to get to this stage.
It's hard to believe that Brazil haven't won this tournament since 2007 and it's been a staggering 26 years since Argentina last won it. The big problem for Argentina to solve is Brazil's defence. The four clean sheets in this tournament mean Tite's team have now gone an incredible 6 games without conceding a goal. That's an astounding 593 minutes at least since their last goal conceded.
Can they keep the world's best player in Lionel Messi at bay? I'm not sure but it's a fantastic building block and I think even if they concede, the defence will play a key role in allowing their attacking and creative players to pick Argentina apart. I just think Argentina lack the managerial nous to get the win in this game and they're lucky to have even got to this stage.

Egypt vs Zimbabwe
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off this evening with host nation Egypt facing group underdogs Zimbabwe in a 9pm BST kick-off at the Cairo International Stadium in Cairo. Can the Pharaohs make it a record-breaking 8th win in this competition or will we see an opening day upset?
Egypt come into this tournament as the firm favourites. Javier Aguirre's side are on home turf and boast one of the top African talents in Mohamed Salah. The form of the host nation is also decent coming into this first game of the tournament with just 1 defeat in their last 8 matches. Mexican Aguirre has experience of winning an international after guiding Mexico to the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Zimbabwe are more renowned for their cricket and Robert Mugabe than their football. Bruce Grobbelaar and Peter Ndlovu are two of the more famous alumni from the national team but the current squad is severely lacking such players. This will be just their 4th appearance in the tournament and they have so far failed to get past the group stage. That being said, Sunday Chidzambwa's men come into this game in decent form unbeaten in their last four matches with three clean sheets.
Everything is pointing at a solid win for the home nation in this opening game. Zimbabwe will be hoping to keep the score down and build on recent positive results earned against the likes of Congo, Comoros, Nigeria, and Tanzania. Egypt are a different prospect altogether. The only thing that will hold Egypt back is nerves. I think a 2-0 win for Egypt seems like the most likely outcome.

Xcout got a reaction from Ameer in CONCACAF GOLD CUP 2019
Curacao vs El Salvador
El Salvador encounters Curaçao, group match of the group C of CONCACAF Gold Cup. This match will take place in Kingston, Jamaica. Only the first two group matches from Group B and Group C, would take place outside of the United States.
The betting houses consider this match as level, a lot more than it really is. This is due to the outcome of the 2019-20 CONCACAF Nations League Qualifying, a one-off tournament from September 2018 to March 2019, this to determine the seeding for the group phase of the inaugural 2019-20 CONCACAF Nations League.
The ten top ranked teams of that tournament achieved qualification to Gold Cup. Thanks to a favorable draw, Curacao did not encounter the heavyweights of Pot A, and despite losing with Antigua and Bermuda with 9 points and a favorable goal difference, mainly their 10-0 victory against Grenada, the team qualify as the 4th placed.
For El Salvador the draw was not as favorable, an encounter with Jamaica did not provide good sensations and an unexpected defat at the hands of Bermuda by 1-0 complicated things. Yet they where able to beat Jamaica by 2-0 to barely achieve qualification to Gold Cup as the 10th placed.
Curacao prepared for this tournament with friendlies against India and Vietnam, with a victory and a draw.
Meanwhile El Salvador took heavier opposition as they beat Peru 0-2 and Haiti by 1-0, and lost against Japan by 2-0.
Since 2015 in the four matches the both nations have disputed, El Salvador have not lost, taking the victory in three of those four matches. The last match between them in Gold Cup in 2017, a 2-0 victory for El Salvador.
It will be a tight match, expect a defensive Curacao, with few goals, as has been the norm in their previous encounters between them, yet El Salvador should get something positive as the other two encounter are against Jamaica and Honduras, both will put fierce competition than Curacao. Therefore the value is seen in the asian handicap favoring the centroamerican team.
El Salvador -0.25 AH with 8 units @ 2.23 at Pinnacle
