Punters Lounge Exclusive £150 added Poker League - July Fun Week - Wed 31st July - Stud & PLO HiLo

Recommended Posts

The Punters Lounge £150 added Poker League continues this week with our July league.  All games are played in the PokerStars Home Games PL Poker Club.  This month will feature a PLO leg in week 3 with the other 3 legs NLHE.

To help boost numbers and keep the league competitive throughout the month we will again have a double points multiplier in leg 4.

Leg 1 : Wednesday 3rd July at 20.00 GMT in the PL Poker Club Home Game.

Leg 2 : 10th July

Leg 3 : 17th July - PLO

Leg 4 : 24th July - double points

Buy in is $5.50 per leg.

Your top 3 scores of the 4 legs will count towards your league total. We will be using the usual PL league format, which will be updated in this thread. (The PokerStars own league scores will not be used.) Formula is -Log(position/Entrants)x100

All members are welcome, however you must post in this thread if asked to let us know your forum username, otherwise your placings and scores cannot be included in the league.  Please spread the word and invite your friends so we can get the weekly numbers to keep this league viable.  New players always welcome to join in.

To join the PokerStars PL Home Games Club:

club id = 744199

password = PLPokerClub

We also have a PL Poker Club Facebook group where regular reminders are also posted. Please request to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/524375907722928/

£150 Added Value

The £150 added will be split between the top 3 players of the league end, with £75 to the league champion, £45 to 2nd and £30 to 3rd.  This will be payable via PayPal at the end of the league.  Big thank you to SirPuntalot and Punters Lounge for the added funds.  Winners will also get Punters Lounge merchandise. See below.

Punters Lounge Merchandise

You can now win unlimited Punters Lounge merchandise, even if you have won them before. It consists of the mug with a wraparound logo, updated to our new 3D logo recently. You'll also win a pack of 10 pens, which have also been upgraded to a much better quality.

Good luck!

Well done Wayne, leg 2 winner :clap, and Leo's 2nd place puts him on top of the table :clap

Next week we have our PLO leg. Usual blind structure but an extra big stack of 3000 chips so you can't blow it all in one go!

Game is open for registration :ok

Well done to Barry, winner of last week's PLO leg :clap

With each of our 3 weekly winners not performing especially well in the other legs, it's Leo's more consistent performance which holds the top of the league going into the final leg. However it is so close that we really have set up a winner takes all leg with the double points at stake in leg 4.

It's all set up ready for you to join, game on at 8pm Wednesday 💰

Well done to Rivrd who takes the final leg victory and with it also the league crown. :clap

Ian's 2nd place promotes him into 2nd overall :clap  Demios's 3rd place just loses out on the final podium spot to Muttley's 4th and consistent performance over the month. :clap

Well done and thank you to everyone. A good turnout maintained throughout the month :cow

It's a "5-week month" again so we've had an early finish.  I'll put claiming details up later, but it gives us the opportunity of a 'fun' week next week and to play one of the variant game options. Suggestions please, and happy to set a couple of options up as we did last time, with a 8.00/8.15 start.

You wanted the last tournament to be played by a lot of people. You have achieved your goal. But the winner was the man who played 2 tournaments. And the second tournament, he finished seventh. He proved that you can now play the last and any one of the other tournaments. Previously, people played from 2 to 4 tournaments. Now for the final victory it is enough to play 2 tournaments. Has the league become better?

This subject has been hotly debated and ended up moving in ever decreasing circles. I'd recommend making yourself a strong coffee before you sit down to read this thread :ok

Hope some of you fancy something different for our break week.

I've set up a Stud game (fixed limit, 2000 chips, 10 min blinds) for 8.00pm and a Pot Limit Omaha HiLo (2000 chips, 10 min blinds) for 8.10pm.

Unfortunately I don't think I can make it tonight :(
