  1. This current trend for describing people or minorities you don't like as box-ticking is so lazy !

Everybody ticks boxes ..... look at that Ollie fellow on ITV

    White ...... tick
    Christian ......... tick
    Middle Class ........... tick
    Young ........... tick
    Racing Family ......... tick

You get my point ?......... it usually says more about the person picking the boxes than it does about the person ticking them

Not good at all.  There were quite a lot of big-priced winners, horses I didn't even consider and horses that the tipsters for the South China Morning Post didn't even consider.  I think it may have been to do with the fact the ground was yielding, and indeed quite a few of the lighter horses won.  Anyway, that's me done with Hong Kong racing for a while.  ?

Remember the early months of the pandemic when we only had Hong Kong ........ we could hardly find a winner between us

I just think it's difficult racing ...... lots of 14 runner handicaps with horses, trainers and jockeys that you don't know much about

    It's a bit pin-sticker !

  3. Hollie Doyle gets a plumb ride on the favourite in the French Oaks (Prix de Diane) at 3pm Chantilly

Nashwa for the Gosdens finished 3rd at Epsom and probably brings the best form into the race but a lot of the hiome team are lightly raced types who we don't know much about so there could be something top class in there

I like Place du Carrousel for A Fabre ......... 2nd in the St Alary on just her 4th racecourse start and just about an EW price today

Chantilly 3pm - Place Du Carrousel - 12/1 EW Wm Hill
