  1. Not sure what you are after.

My advice is, be very careful with progressive staking. It will look good ' on paper', but will you hold your nerve when it is real money ?

I have made money with a type of progressive staking which I use with football. For example a point based bank (20, 40, 50, 100 or whatever). When showing a profit ... ratchet up the value of a point.... BUT .. DO NOT reduce the value of a point during a losing run.

  2. Not posted for a while (personal reasons). The method is still doing ok. Will try to post but may not always be possible.

As I wrote (can't exactly remember where), I have a National Hunt handicap selection method that has worked well for some time now and am willing to post selections after I have placed my bet. There are not selections every day, but the strike rate has been solid around 50% or so. Prices are decent (average around 3/1+). Hoping that it continues now posting on here.

    Todays selection - bet365 - B.O.G.

    4.05 Hex - Graystown - 9/2 ... lost ... fell 2 out when challenging for the lead.

8 days later- Graystown wins at 10/3.

-6.9pts today and wish I missed the so called info horse I added last minute but there we go.

    P/L = -10.9pts

I was talking to a few of the lads from the new group in private today with some early concerns after only joining from the 1st. Apparently the group is very up and down but pretty much always end up in profit with the exception of a few months and they're up a lot over the space of two years since the group began.

BOG is essential as that's what the pts go by and if you don't have it then the P/L won't be correct.

August for example apparently they were all going mad and were 40pts down with 7 days left and they finished 60pts up so it's definitely all about staying calm and keeping to a strict pts system.

Anyway, we move on and tomorrow's bets have already been placed.

It's ok having a 'points based system' , but how big a bank do you need ?

Poor day today with all four selections losing. Only one I can complain about is Buckingham who I feel was given a very poor ride just now and if ridden handier, could have threatened the front two as he was in traffic and only got going late on.

    Current P/L = -4pts

Have to agree about the ride on Buckingham, had an EW double, first leg won at 5/1, Buckingham 2nd leg. EW part was a profit but cost me a four figure sum by not winning.
